They are a great job hunting resource for two HUGE reasons: A. It's been my experience that many larger companies do not post openings for entry/mid-level jobs. The Creative Group is in direct contact with these companies and can help connect you to these "unlisted" positions. A lot of these positions consist of contract or temporary positions, but I've also noticed that many companies use contract periods as a type of extended hiring process/trial period instead of hiring straight from an interview. I figure it protects them from giving a job to someone who looks promising at an interview but performs less than expected. B. You have someone looking out for you. Job searching can be a lot of work, so having the help of 1 or 2 people can get you more leads than if you just did the searching on your own. My only knock against the system is that communication can get confusing. I don't think that's a knock against any specific party. Since you're working both with The Creative Group and an assigned company, phone communications can get mixed. Sometimes I would get a message relayed from my assignment to The Creative Group to me. Other times the assignment would contact me directly. Miscommunication is bound to happen. When you get an assignment make sure to check in with your agent at TCG. On many occasions my agent needed to hear from me how things were going at my assignment. In the end, it's really about extending your network to help you find new opportunities. The Creative Group is a great way to extend that network and get those feelers out to find the jobs that you're looking for.

I still agree with Carrie K. assessment which she made. I have not been contacted by anyone in the Princeton office for months now. I got a call from customer service and subsequently from other people higher up but still no calls for jobs I feel i am 100% qualified for. All I got from years of meeting new and different people at the Princeton Office was a 7 hr., yes 7 hrs., stinit with a local non profit.

Not even a response. I would never work with her. I would never recommend this fly by night recruiting agency. They are completely unprofessional. I wish I could give them 0 stars.

I had the opportunity to go into the office in Princeton and meet with my adviser. It was actually a very thorough meeting where we discussed the good and bad about the previous positions that I held as well as setting and managing expectations for landing a new role for me. Nikole was very helpful with the process and did a great job working for me. I felt as though my best interests were taken care of by Nikole. There was extreme professionalism and even though I was told that it could take up to a month or longer to find opportunities, it took just about two weeks to present me with several opportunities. I attribute this to the hard work and dedication that my adviser had with regards to trying to get me placed. I understand that they make their money on placing individuals, but I will say that I felt a personal connection and that my adviser actually cared about placing me in the type of position that we discussed in our meeting and not just any job to get paid. I would recommend The Porter Group to any sales professional that is looking to make a switch.

I had applied for a position in Bethlehem, PA, and came in for an interview. They person that I…read moretalked to told me that there was a better position open within the building because of my resume, and they wanted me to interview for that. I did interview, and I was told that I was going to get feedback on the interview, and that either way, I would probably have a position within the company. It's been a month now, and I still haven't heard anything. All I got, when I called the recruiter, was "I'm sorry; let me see if I can get that feedback for you." Really? I didn't feel valued at all, and so I started looking for other positions. I find this behavior to be irresponsible, and I will not be using these services again if I need to look for a job.

But, if they have a shitty client like Day and Ross and basically treat you like shit and cut your paycheck out of nowhere then you're not okay. Coworx will definitely stick with their clients. They're not so much protecting their talents. I was harassed by the field manager and I did report the incident with them and they're basically do nothing. But, during that time I keep doing my job and keep getting paid good and thank goodness that field manager never mess with my income. Not until Coworx assigned me to work with another company (Day and Ross) and ever since then it's all nothing but chaos. I had to work even more with the same pay and that company (client) promised me to do temporary to hire position but when I asked them to have it in written they never did, shady much, right? The field manager on that new assignment with Day and Ross is a piece of shit! He manipulated my time sheet for my working hours and added more time on my lunch/break. I had to protest with both the company and the agency about it but they're still stick with that manipulated time sheet. I quit right away. I'm done having people take advantage of my hard work and my kindness and I won't let anyone disrespect me like that. How could you play with someone's earnings like that? That shitty field manager keeps saying that I'm a "valuable" team member. Yeah right, if I'm that valuable then why the hell you're messing with my paycheck you idiot?! Get the hell out of here.
