I've had both of my tattoos and my nose piercing done here. The artists and piercers are all really nice, and I've never had any problems or heard of anyone having problems with Atomic. The thing I like most is how clean it is. I've never been to other shops where I feel as safe as I do there. It doesn't feel like a shady tattoo establishment. Everyone is professional and it feels sterile. Minus one star because my nose piercing was pretty expensive in comparison to other shops. I had no problem getting out my wallet for my tattoos, but there were other piercers in the area that had piercings for a lot cheaper. Told me to come in at 4. We get there and the girl finishes a simple watch and rose design. Takes her 1 hour n 20 minutes to do then tells me shes not confident she can do the tattoo in 3 hours. Seriously? 3 hours to do a 1 hour at the max tattoo? Im covered in tats and obviously this girl has no experience and does not know what she is doing. I've had a 10 inch intricate tattoo done in an hour. She wasted my time and my time is valuable especially after i drove in traffic from Tampa and i told them it needed to be done today. Atomic says walk ins welcome but this is a lie,walk ins welcome if u come in at noon or just to say hello. They werent even busy. Lazy employess. But im glad we went to another shop bcuz the artist laughed when i told him this story and said that it can be done in less than 2 hours. I do not recommend a place where an artist is not confident and a place the seats are empty. I feel sorry for the owner bcuz he has no idea that lazy humans and inexperienced ppl are ruining his/ her business. How do they pay rent there? yes im upset that they wasted my time and now the artist spent an hour and 20 minutes fiddling around on the design all from an ipad which a 5 yr old could have done in 10 minutes. All she did was copy and paste and then gave me bullshit like i still have to get ready and get the ink etc. Thats hilarious bcuz ive sat through over 100 hours in tattoos and she needs time for what? My tattoo came out great, and so did my moms. The only problem is that there were no aftercare instructions. I already had a tattoo so I knew what to do, however, my mom didn't. Other than that I'm not complaining but it would've been nice to know how to care for it, the last place I went gave instructions. The price is fair, and it is clean. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR A GENITAL PIERCING. DONE INCORRECTLY, WASTE OF MONEY. I wanted to get a VCH piercing and the reviews at this place seemed great, for both tattoos and piercings. I went to them back in mid February when I was in town for the MOSI Ren Fest. The atmosphere was fine, nothing too special. They seemed busy, with people sitting on the benches in the front of the shop, besides the broken one. I was greeted and asked what I was looking to have done. I asked for a VCH and the gentleman immediately knew what I was referring to with the acronym. Immediately, I felt comfortable, After filling out forms, we went to the back. I forgot the name of my piercer, he had this pretty cool long beard going for him, was well mannered. Since this was a genital piercing, I did a lot of research before deciding to get one. This guy did NOTHING I expected. The only good thing I can really applaud him for is his constant changing of gloves after touching and opening his equipment and needles. He didn't check if I had the correct anatomy to have this particular piercing, and even if he did check it out while my legs are spread, he didn't performed the "Q-Tip" test to determine where the right placement would be. He marked 2 dots, and just went for it. No warning, no "take a deep breath". Took me a little by surprise. It didn't hurt too badly. My piercer also almost forgot to tell me how to take care of it. It looked fine, but I was still skeptical. I'm no expert and went along with it. It was more expensive than what they originally told me over the phone. I was quoted "$70" and charged "$100". Despite feeling rushed, a get in and get out job, the piercer's attitude was professional but chill so I tipped him $20. After I went home back to Lakeland, I was very skeptical of the placement. Turns out, it indeed was NOT a true VCH piercing, but a simple surface one that LOOKED like a hood piercing. I called back voicing my concern and was hung up on. I also called to asked what gauge I was pierced at, and no one knew the first 2 times I called. I finally got an answer on my 3rd attempt weeks later, and it was 16 gauge, which is also considered incredibly small. 2 months in, I noticed the skin between curve bar to become shorter. I called to ask if this was a sign of my body rejecting it, and no one cared. All they said was "I guess". Unprofessional of the kid who answered the phone and didn't know what a vertical clitoral hood piercing was. I didn't even use the acronym on him. Needless to say, my body rejected the piercing. OVERALL Pro: Clean Con: Incorrect piercing (gave me a surface piercing that APPEARED to be a VCH, and NOT a TRUE VCH like i wanted) Was not informed how to take care of it until I asked before walking out the door. Shallow surface pierce (contributed to my body rejecting it 3 months later) Charged more than what I was quoted. Incorrect technique to the VCH piercing. Felt like a rush job for quick money. Customer service was awful AFTER I called with questions and concerns many times after. read more

I went here to get a tattoo a few months ago and must have got the shops number one jerk off. The artist claimed he was a pro and to trust him. The tattoo was fine when it was first done but the next day when the bandage came off it was crooked and lopsided, the lining was horrible, and I've been told by other artists that he had dug in too deep. I've given this time to heal and had more work done elsewhere, so here goes. In mid April of 2019 I called and asked if the piercer was able to do daith and Tragus piercings. Of course. That was a good step. Pricing seemed fair over the phone, I was quoted 180$ for 2 daith and 2 Tragus piercings. I went to the shop the next day and had the piercings done by Matty. Nice guy, but the piercings have had problems. These are the only piercings I've had that have been so rough to heal. When pushing the needles, it felt like he struggled, applying great pressure and I've never had that issue even with nose and cartilage piercings. Manipulating the jewelry was also a time consuming and roughly handled situation. Both were basic shop jewelry, CBRs and curved barbells. I currently have bleeding from both daith piercings and scarring (at time of review 10 weeks post piercings) Tragus piercings are finally getting better now that jewelry was changed to a better size. After all was through, I was charged 190$ not the 180$ quoted. While waiting for the piercing to begin as I filled out the paperwork, there was another customer in there who had apparently been looking to get a tattoo, but was uncertain of what to get. He left to 'shop around' and no sooner than he exited, the tattoo staff berated and trashed the guy. Then they went about trashing yelp reviews after I was asked where I heard about them from, which was yelp. Not exactly a pleasant atmosphere. Two of them were genuinely angry about it. Overall, I wish I'd gone elsewhere for these as other shops charge about the same and watching more videos online show much smoother process of getting these piercings. read more

Bad experience for me. I went in to get my upper lip pierced. Both sides. Already have the bottom done by another shop. I understand I already have many piercings but you are still supposed to offer follow up care. At least tell me what I should do to care for it. I had to ask him and seemed like he wasn't really sure. After the first dat my first piercing fell apart and came out. Wth? Figured shitty jewelry or just didn't tighten it enough. U couldn't get it back thru the hole so I called the next day. I told them what happened and said I would come back for a replacement piercing, on their dime. Not my fault. Nope. He told me that wouldn't happen but I was welcome to come in and they would look at it. Ok? Well the next night same thing with the second piercing just came apart and fell out. Seriously? I fixed this one myself and once I made sure it was tight I haven't had a problem. Needless to say I will NOT get pierced here again. Not very friendly, no humor AT ALL. Just not the best experience I've had. And they are pricey for not quality work. I don't mind paying but damn at least make my visit worth your time and my money. I am extremely disappointed. When I went in there the guy that was next in rotation had broken English, so I thought he said $15 since it was a simple infinity symbol. Got done and guy at desk said $50, I thought it was much but I wanted it, it has been a week and I have been waiting for it to heal to see if it got better, not only are the lines uneven there are blotches in the color, and it's only one color!
