It has indicated "5 minutes" for over 10 minutes. Several walk-ins were taken ahead of me even tho I was here and checked in first. If there's a 30 minute wait, just say so. Don't gaslight and say 10 mins, all it does is frustrate! Haircuts are just ok. Staff is meh.

I should start by saying he has Down syndrome. After the first time he received a bad haircut, I went in with him for his next cut, and spoke with the stylist to make sure she wouldn't further cut into the mistake that was clearly made by the prior stylist. At that time, his haircut was fine. The next time he went in, I was not with him. He went in alone while someone who drove him waited outside. Since he is special needs and he's not inspecting the back of his head like "normal "customers would. I did not see him for a couple of days and when I saw this was too furious to waste time on a business that would mess up a disabled mans hair repeatedly and let him walk around looking so foolish without caring. If you look at the picture attached, I don't know how any stylist would not drop the shears immediately, profusely apologize and refuse to take any payment. It is disgusting to me--not that they give bad haircuts, but--that they don't think disabled men are worthy of looking and feeling their best.

Their hospitality and customer service are consistently exceptional, and it is clear that they genuinely care about the people who sit in their chairs. Charlie is one of the kindest and most thoughtful people you will ever meet. He remembers what is going on in your life, asks about your family, and talks to you with real care and attention. It is a family run shop, and his sons Mark and Leo bring that same warmth and skill to every appointment. They are all incredibly talented, and you never have to worry if one of them is out of town. They work seamlessly as a team, and your hair always comes out exactly the way you want it. Every visit is comfortable, friendly, and consistently enjoyable. This shop is a true gem in the community. If you want a barbershop where you feel welcome, listened to, and cared for, this is the place.

Can I please merely say that the cut I received makes me want to tear my hair out and it (surely…read moreunintentionally) set me up for at least a year of discomfort at a critical point of my life. I am totally uncomfortable and unconfident with a dorky mobster-like haircut that lacks finesse (frankly, it looks stupid, with many uneven ends apparent months later and revealing a silly cowlick on the back of my head, which has never once been an issue for me). Simply not at all what I envisioned or needed. Sure the place's regulars love the classic cuts they receive, but I did not appreciate the barbershop treatment at a place holding itself out as a salon on a Broadway Avenue in a city like Providence. I strongly recommend the place adds a unisex-friendly specialist to their team - that would really modernize this joint, which is not a 5-star one.

Our first visit we had an appointment and they ignored us for 20 minutes past our appointment time. We almost walked out when they finally called us. One of the barbers was loud and crass and was so obnoxious, we could hardly wait to get out of there. The haircut was somewhat decent however, and a good price. We decided to give them a second shot a few weeks later, and once again made an appointment with Ernest. This time, they went over 30 minutes past our appointment time before they even acknowledged us. Not only that, but he did such a poor job this time, my hubby was left with razor burns on most of his hair perimeter even days later. Location is convenient right off a main street, parking is plentiful and pricing is decent. That said, with the unprofessional lack of customer attentiveness, disregard for keeping appointments and shoddy shave work, we will definitely not be returning.

Unfortunately, this was the worst haircut I've ever had. The entire haircut took about 6 minutes, and Frank did not do a single thing I asked for. I was left extremely unhappy, disappointed, and honestly angry with the result. To make matters worse, I was charged $40 for a 6-minute haircut that looked terrible. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I paid and even tipped $5, knowing I would never return. As I was walking to my car, I looked back at the shop and saw people inside laughing and pointing at me, which made the situation even worse. For a place that's supposedly a step up from Supercuts, this was far worse than my worst Supercuts experience -- and I've gotten the majority of my haircuts there over the years. Don't be fooled by the reviews like I was. Looking back, I regret even paying. The whole experience was extremely unprofessional and disappointing.
