Everyone is incredibly friendly, professional, and transparent when it comes to pricing--they really take the time to work with you and make sure you're happy with your design. I always go to Tai, and he consistently does an amazing job. I just got my second tattoo from him today, and once again, he exceeded my expectations. What I really appreciate is how he even checked in on a previous tattoo he did for me--that level of care really stands out. I walked up to the door and there were people outside and I was like I hope this is not the line. Then they asked me was I there for a piercing or a tattoo I said piercing and she said come on in after she put a ton of sanitizer on my hand. Isabel then asked me what kind of tattoo did I want? I told what I had in mind so she put that in her hand dandy computer and it didn't turn out right, then she tried something else. So then we discussed a few things to see if they would work before she put them in the computer. Isabel was very patient she spent at least 30 minutes with helping me design my tattoo. Plenty of people have the same tattoo but I wanted mine to be different. It took us longer to get the design than it did to get the tattoo. I tried to give Isabel a tip for all of her hard work and patience and she would not take it. Charly was very professional when he did my tattoo he asked me where I wanted it place then he put the stencil in place. I did not even get to finish what I was reading and he had mt tattoo done. I had initially heard great reviews about this shop from friends & decided to take my husband in there to finally get him the tattoo he had been wanting. We booked with Thai since his portfolio looked decent in B&W online. After the consultation, we paid for a deposit after Thai said he could tattoo what my husband was wanting. Two weeks later we show up with him holding a design that looked like it came from Google Docs or Canva. It was far from what he said he could do at the consultation & he spent no time creating his mock-up, which should at least capture his "12 years" of tattooing skill set. He was unprofessional and unwilling to alter the design or even meet in the middle for some compromise. As an artist you have to have the ability to set aside your emotions and create something that makes the client happy - especially if you say you can do it in the first place! Very disappointed from a fellow artist. Tattoo artistry gets such a bad wrap for being unprofessional or messy, and this situation confirmed that stigma. read more

Took my daughter for her first tattoo, the artist was very professional. Charley I think his name was. They are very overpriced, but since it was her bday and a Sunday, I paid anyway. $350 for a 30 minute tattoo. The secretary was defiantly anything buy professional. Her and her friends gossiped the entire time and she acted like we was bothering her by wanting a service. I wish this artist would start his own tattoo shop elsewhere. read more

I got a tattoo and it's said "my reason " in cursive, but on "reason" the "R" looked like an "S" so I thought to go back up there and try to get a line to fix the "R" that looked like an "S" and they said since I signed off on the paper work that wouldn't fix it without paying another $80 , so I payed $80 dollars to get a little line to fix there mistake , I'm very unhappy with the experience I had there and wouldn't recommend them to anyone for a tattoo because any other shop would've fixed it no hassle, it just mind boggles me why they wouldn't even offer to fix it without payment and said it was my fault and I had to pay to get it fixed. read more

I came in on two different days. On Friday, Erik Inclan gave me a new tattoo. I got the triple moon goddess symbol with a pentacle - each of the five points stand for something different -spirit, earth, air, fire and water. I'm making this rating based off the following things : 1. I have over 70 hours worth of work done in Oklahoma specific shops. 2. I didn't get a tattoo done but can get a pretty good feel for the artists based simply on the first impressions of the shop. And 3. I've been across the world and have been to various shops with very different styles and attributes. With all that said, I walked into Atomic Lotus tonight hoping to look at portfolios that would be a good match for a memorial tattoo for my therapy dog who passed away nearly four months ago. When I got to the shop I asked if I could see the artists portfolios. The counter girl was on her phone and said "they're on Instagram." She didn't say anything else. I asked " okay what is their istagram?" She said it's atomic lotus and didn't say a word else. I said "okay" in a confused tone and left slowly. Granted all my tattoos were covered by my motorcycle jacket but at the same time if this is how costumers are treated, don't walk, run away! This shop is trash and I'm not even going to attempt to look up atomic lotus on Instagram and I shouldn't have to. read more

Absolutely awful customer service. I had a couple questions and the lady at the counter acted like I should have already know everything. She also stated that the artist just copy and paste a tattoo. Never going to get a tattoo here. After the interaction I looked at the reviews and makes sense they never have nice people. They need to go through a customer service training and learn how to be nice to people. It literally cost nothing to answer questions in a nice manner and not have sarcasm coming from your mouth. I am sold that this is the cleanest shop in town. I was a Saturday walk-in (opens at noon) with a medium sized geometric piece--- first tattoo, no idea where to put it or how big it would be. Everyone was personable and patient. I waited my turn in line, pitched my idea, and got JOSH ROSS interested. He requested we send the art we were interested via email to ATOMICLOTUSTATTOO@GMAIL.COM so he could enlarge it and redraw on his ipad for a stencil. (Some artists print the image exactly as you request, while some redraw everything). His creation was a little less complicated than the border image I had sent, but the overall piece had the right focus (organic & geometric). We discussed location, colors, shading, and price -- I was stoked he had the two hours to complete the task right then! First tattoo experience -- 2 hours, 4.5" square space on left front thigh, 5 colors plus line work. It was bearable but painful. I had a buddy with me that has been inked by Josh which helped pass the time with conversation. The process felt like my skin was being jabbed with a needle several times in the same spot in increments of 3 seconds. The pain was mediated by these little breaks, my artists light hand (not too much extra pressure), and his travel around the tattoo to avoid stressing one area for an extended period. On the home stretch, Josh accidentally threw yellow ink in my lap (the cup stuck to the gun when he refueled); but he was very classy about the clean-up and we laughed at the first time experience for both of us. Paperwork and payment -- $60 MINIMUM. After the consultation, you'll either schedule a session in the future, or wait for your turn that day. You'll complete a check list asking about the last time you've eaten, had alcohol or drugs, address any allergies or medical conditions, and sign. They'll get a copy of your ID and (if paying with credit card) run the payment but hold off on the signature until the tattoo is complete. This also allows you to leave a tip -- LEAVE A TIP ($20 or so) to show your appreciation of your artist. Part of the fee for the tat goes to the shop, so the tip is important if you like your artists work. If you think you may want color, go for it on the first visit as it may save you $20-40 verses a revisit. After care -- CHECK IN ON FACEBOOK FOR FREE SOAP. They'll give you a little card with information. I left my bandage on for 4+ hours, then washed with the soap and allowed to air dry. I purchased the ARMOR liquid bandage for going out or wearing under cloths. Mine started to scab (which is not great) which prompted me to use Aquaphor while at home and sleeping. 5 days later, I'm in the itching phase which means its healing. My top layer of skin has partially shed to reveal a much more vibrant color scheme than its looked in the last few days. Super excited for the final healing process and reveal. Very pleased with my experience overall. And yes... I am already considering my next tattoo. :) read more

Before I was inside the guy told me " pull your mask up, if it's down one more time- you are out" my mask was on properly, I have a large nose so you still see my nose when my mask is securely on. After that he opens the door and walks in, as I walk in and hold the door so it does not hit me he says "don't touch the door." Ok... not sure how I can continue to walk in. Once I get in I tell him I have to ideas I want to combine. He asks where and I said I have a few ideas but I am open to placement. He replies "well if you come into a tattoo shop without a copy of what you want and not sure where you want it the artist is going to find the cheapest and quickest place and do that." He then takes my idea, ignores how I want it combined and places the ideas on top of one another and said "here I will show this to an artist and see what they say." I left. The guy was mad rude and I am sorry for wanting a tattoo ARTIST to create art. If you have an idea the artist can stencil, can open doors with your mind and enjoy being treated like trash- this place is for you. They DO NOT deserve their rating or their 'best in okc' check out OKC BEST TATTOOS, Levitate Tattoos and Stay True- they have artists that will work with you and actually treat you like a customer. read more

This place is a weekend hotspot for people making an intoxicated decision on a small tattoo and getting over charged. I went In tonight and was quoted by an artist $350-$400 for possibly three hours for a very simple traditional line work and dot filler for my sleeve! (I walked out) I went to Twisted mind tattoo on the same street and had the exact same work done for $125 and an hour of my time on a walk in request. Great place and they do a Fantasic job... but... they're customer service definitely needs to be worked on. Especially the front. One guy constantly makes sexist jokes thinking it's okay to degrade/demean others. The other guy is just RUDE (bald and talks with an accent) This guy is a new level of customer service rudeness. From the beginning, it felt super uneasy talking with him. Went unnoticed when I walked in when there was clearly no one else in the lobby. Tried getting his attention by saying hello etc and in return, just got a dirty look and told me to have a seat. After 10 min of whatever he was doing on his computer, I got a response of "what do you need?" BITCH... I am I customer. Drop your ego of being a hardass and lighten up a little. I don't expect you to bend backwards and kiss the customers ass, but you shouldn't be working in customer relations with that attitude. THE KFC OF TATTOO'S - Not good enough to be as well known as they are. Makes me seriously question the selection process that makes them "the best in OKC". My guess is bc the web and instagram have not caught up with the times and demand for tattoos just yet. ADVICE: Look on instagram for tattoo artists in okc. I had success with the ones I found and their work was far superior to anyone at this institution and customer service was better by mountains and oceans. Where do I begin...**I would give you the highest recommendation NOT to come here.. If I could give them an 1/8 of a star I would. 1) Customer Service is ABYSMAL; I was new to the tattoo industry and inquired about typical questions. (i.e. location, type of art, and general questions). There are many artists in the metro area that art just as talented if not far more superior in skill. - My curiosity was met by a "holier-than-thou" attitude. Offended when asked about which art each individual artist specialized in. Their reply was stating that all of the artists can do any artwork. This shows a huge lack of humility for a place that should be a proponent of such virtues. 2) Horrible parking - along the street in the hood 3) They are promoted on the radio just because they've been around the longest. Parents I would tell your children, and your children's children to stay away from here. Occasionally, they have some decent work that may overshadow their attitudes (rare). My only complaint is he put on my stencil on the back of my neck and I tried using the mirror to see if it was straight it looked pretty straight to me but when he finished and I took a pic of it I can see that it is crooked.
