A Must-Visit for Stone Crab Lovers!…read more I visited Riggins Crab House tonight with my grandfather specifically for the stone crab, and it did not disappoint! With stone crab season in full swing and so many people recommending this place, I had high expectations, and it exceeded them. The ambiance was perfect, the stone crab was phenomenal, and you could tell it was incredibly fresh. We also ordered the escargot as an appetizer, and it was equally delicious! And if you're familiar with stone crab, you know it can definitely be a workout! Come prepared to put on your bib, roll up your sleeves, and dig in. It's all part of the experience! Between the wonderful atmosphere and the incredible food, this was such a great place to enjoy a meal with my grandfather. I can absolutely see why so many people recommend it. If stone crab is on your must-eat list this season, Riggins Crab House is definitely worth a visit!

Finding a local restaurant (Raleigh, NC) that serves steamed blue crabs has proven to be a bit of a…read morechallenge. So excited to find Riggins on my most recent travel expedition. The area is separated by a fresh seafood market and by the restaurant itself. We particularly came here for the blue crabs. However, we found the cornmeal dredge fish to be fried well (salt & pepper seasoning) & portion size generous. I especially enjoyed that you can purchase a unit of blue crab (1-5 pieces) and not necessarily a dozen or 1/2 dozen. You have the option of jumbo, large, and regular sizes. I found the traditional seasoning preferable to the garlic option. Service attentive but not overbearing (depending on your seasoning preference you may request additional seasoning). Our biggest gripe was that the shop closed for vacation but wasn't listed on Yelp, website, or on voicemail. Overall a good to great seafood restaurant. Prices can be pricey (portion size makeup for the price point) Thus far, our favorite Floridian meal.

They put together a veggie boil which had potatoes corn and broccoli with garlic butter and seasoning. The table tried mozzarella sticks, fries, onion rings, and hush puppies as well. The rest of the table indulged. My niece got the king crab kings which was listed as market price. You can only a pound, not a half pound. This was $100, but was enjoyed. On weekends they have a special of 1/2lb of shrimp, 1/2lb of snow crab legs and one lobster. A few people opted for this and enjoyed it. Restaurant has a causal vibe. Nothing fancy but still a splurge. Party of 8 and the hill was under $400 when with an order of king crab legs. Definitely worth the price. Plus they allowed us to bring a special birthday cake for the birthday girl and even sang to her. Hannah provided great service the entire night!

With so many smaller Italian grocery stores and European styled markets in the area I would…read moregenuinely put Joseph's market at the top of my list! My family and I love to come here because of the big and free parking lot and the large selection available in each side of the market. We tend to pick up some of the prepared food each week since it's easy to heat up and they provide instructions on how to do so and it's always such a filling and delicious meal. All the workers in the store are available through out the store to provide any answers to questions on what available and even provide free samples if asked! I also will say the breads and pastries are delicious and definitely worth purchasing especially since it's much cheaper to buy there versus at one of the bakeries on the island. The wine is a god send! Just wow so many to choose from and such an exclusive selection as well. If you're looking for something different than Publix then definitely come to Joseph's and you'll be proud of yourself for doing so!

On both occasions, I purchased items from the center prepared food section for dinner. Most recently, I took advantage of the $12ish flank steak meal for 1 with two sides. This meal exceeded my expectations. The steak was prepared the way I prefer, medium rare and it tasted superb. I paired my it with roasted cauliflower and mushroom risotto. The portions were a decent size especially the steak - 8 ounces. All the items tasted great and thumbs up for the plastic recyclable packaging. Finally, the woman who assisted me with my meal was lovely. The store is clean, well organized, and easy to maneuver. I highly recommend.

This is more small restaurant than market. They do have a display case, but the day we came by it…read morewas only filled with whole red snapper fish... but we weren't here to buy seafood -- we were here for lunch. It a tiny place inside and out. It is located on the end of a strip of stores -- next to a convenience store -- on the west side of military. I don't know how it would be coming here for dinner, but it was fine and safe during lunch time. Inside, there are a few high top tables and a couple low ones. And yes, they do speak Spanish here... but when we answered the hola with hello, she switched to English. We didn't have any trouble ordering -- although we do speak some Spanish -- and you should be fine without any. There were a couple tables occupied -- a couple guys finishing up their beers and an older lady having lunch. It was a bit loud but tolerable. My husband got their grouper soup and added a side of Cuban bread. The soup had rice and nice fish chunks in it. The broth was very flavorful and he easily devoured the basket of sliced bread, too, that they brought to the table. I ordered their "pan con minuto". On the menu it's described as fish butterfly sandwich. What it is: fish that has been butterflied open, it's cleaned of bones, etc., and then it's lightly battered and fried with the tail still on. It's served on a soft round bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion. I left off the onion. I opened up the roll and removed the tail, then chowed down. It was delicious. They offered me tartar sauce, but it didn't need a thing beside a squeeze of lime and a touch of salt. We finished our meal with an order of flan for dessert -- one flan and two spoons (uno flan con dos cucharas). It was delicious. I'd definitely go back and probably order the same sandwich -- but they have many other items on the menu. I'd like to try their conch fritters or fried shrimp or maybe one of their Cuban platters. Their prices are very reasonable and what we had was very good.
