i've visited this er and hospital multiple times in the last few years due to autoimmune flares…read morethat needed immediate treatment .. 90 percent of the nurses and techs were great .. my issue is with the ER drs and the hospitalists. I have to actually request not to be seen by certain drs due to their lack of understanding of my condition and refusal to educate themselves by talking to my specialist outside of the hospital. One dr in particular Dr Goldstein is very arrogant and treats me like I am crazy whenever i have to be seen there. He tries to tell me my tests are all normal when clearly they aren't . He has the attitude of "treat em and street em". if he would take the time to actually listen to my specialist he would see that my issues are complex and beyond his scope ..but his ego won't allow him to. I tell everyone to always read your patient portal !!

They were so overcrowded, which probably could not be helped. They had gurneys lined up all along all of the hallways, extra small triage rooms that were only large enough to fit the gurney in not that doctors, nurses ever came in the room to take any vitals in the nine hours. I was there! They also were divided by light curtains that kept getting bumped into by other gurneys! The staff was running around trying to attend almost 300 people and a 180 bed unit. It looked like a bad episode of Grey's Anatomy with everyone being probably under the age of 25, I was put in a hallway for almost 9 hours across from a man with Covid unmasked. It took an hour to see my doctor and when I asked to see him again, he never appeared. I could go on and on about the mistakes that were made in that ER that day, but I'm too disgusted and too sick right now to even post it. If you are smart, you will go to another hospital and not here by ANY means! Withthat said... I'm sure they have their good qualities, but I will never set foot in there again. Have a blessed day.

The staff was great; at the beginning of every shift, the nurses would come to my room and introduce themselves and write their names on the board, because lord knows I was too wacked out to remember anything. They were also really quick come assist me when I had to be unhooked from my 25 million apperati to use the bathroom, as well as quickly adminstering those nausea meds. Everybody on the wing was really great, right down to the janitorial staff. Also, when I came here for my "bootcamp" session a few days before surgery, the woman running it was very helpful and thorough, and even gave me a private tour of the wing I'd be staying in. I was also here about a million times for bloodwork and other testing. The staff in the lab unit is also friendly, but they had a loootttt of trouble finding a vein to take blood. I think I had 3 different lab techs standing around me at one time trying to stick me. "Hey, Jason, you wanna come 'ere? I can't find a vein in her! See if you can!" Not really a pleasant experience. Still, the thing that sticks out in my mind is my overnight stay here, which was about as pleasant an experience as you can have overnight in a hospital. Oh, the building is actually quite lovely inside, especially the lobby and the meeting rooms. Clean, spacious, and lots of windows to let in the sunshine!

I asked for something for pain and she told me they don't give out pain meds and I would have to call my family doc. This was a Saturday morning and had to wait til Monday afternoon. This pain was worst then my knee replacement and with that I took Tylenol. I was not drug seeking. I am not a druggy. I was in unbearable pain for 3 days. I hope she gets shingles and see what it's like and be told you can't have anything for pain. The worst place ever and I've been a critical care nurse for over 30 yrs.
