When I called Purvis Well Services, Chris Purvis immediately answered the phone and added us to his schedule for the day. The repair team was onsite within 2 hours. While onsite, Megan and Wes discovered another problem with our tank and just 3 hours after initiating the call, both issues were resolved and we had water once again. Megan and Wes were polite and professional and did a wonderful job explaining things and jumping right in to complete the work. Thank you, Chris, Megan and Wes for addressing our concern with the same sense of urgency we felt and for doing it with kindness and care.

Mr. Purvis called back within 45 min of me leaving a message and asked me to walk him through my problem. I had a sink hole that had formed around the well head that went down 65 feet and thought that was going to be my problem. Over the phone, Mr. Purvis walked me through checking the pressure switch and that turned out to be the problem. he talked me though a temporary fix until he could get out the next day and we got water back. the next morning, Mr. Purvis showed up first thing in the morning with his daughter, Megan. While Megan changed out the pressure switch, he took a look at the sink hole and gave me instructions on how to fix it and the supplies I would need to do so. Mr. Purvis and Megan were fantastic. Not only were they fast and efficient, they were honest and quick to respond, even on a day when no one works like Xmas. Highest recommendations.

We didn't have the money then to get a new well. This fall we decided to get a new well. Called and spoke to Mr. Maupin about an estimate for a new well and set up somewhat of a time (they said they would let me know) to come out. We were just called the other day and were told they were on their way. Mr. Maupin had told my husband that they would check the well. Within an hour they had water coming out of the well. They would have to come back to find the well and then proceed after that. They charged $675 to come out. I was told by one of the sons that the visit was $225 and the hour work or less was $450. I couldn't believe it was that much. No mention of what a service call cost or the service. Just that it is what it costs. I asked to talk to their dad and during this conversation he said, "Well what is it worth to you". I told him that a heads up on a service call charge and service would have been appreciated. My husband asked when they could come back to finish. I wasn't onboard with that. He has Parkinson's so sometimes he doesn't think clearly. They said this week but would not give an estimate. I didn't want them to do the work and it is now Thursday and we haven't heard from them. We hired someone else on Monday. Maupin is a major ripoff and their business practices are criminal. Do not use Maupin unless you want to be ripped off.

And my conclusion can be summed up in these SIX WORDS: HIGH QUALITY - LOW COST - FAST SERVICE!!! :^) Very truly yours, D. R.

My lessons from the failure of the well drilling project with this contractor are:…read more(1) The agreement: the contractor asked me to sign at the beginning of the project, which is 100% favorable to the contractor and the dry borehole cost is much higher than other contractors. Since the office lady told me they would try their best to help me in the project and I wanted to give some business opportunity to this local contractor, I agreed to do the project with concerns. (2) No walk-through onsite: I asked many times to have a walk-through to determine the location of the borehole and get hydrogeological data from related website, they said they were so busy everyday with urgent pump repairs. Finally they picked a spot at the front yard for the convenience of their drilling truck. I questioned the spot and the lady replied it's the only spot the Health Department allowed which was not the case. (3) Little information provided during the project. Since it was a not a small project, I asked them to give me introduction on how they do the work, some brochures of the pump, pressure tank and piping, and videos on how they do the work on website. I got a pump picture only without any specification. The company website they asked to me check has no more than structure of website. I understand the risk of well drilling with dry pockets, but the way they used didn't do any help to reduce the risk. The only thing was their financial benefit was protected to maximum, and left a buried dry borehole, damaged grass at front yard and mud dumped at backyard for me.
