The gentleman that owns the business is so kind and pleasant. He is very understanding of people who have to reschedule during our pandemic. Currently there is a $15 fee if you can't make your scheduled class time. I like that they offer classes on Saturdays. Their website makes it easy to sign up and they sell the updated BLS book version in class and online. Purchasing the book was not required for my class. The instructor was amazing and made the time feel like it flew by. Kathy was informative, funny and had a way of explaining things so that the information was easy to understand and retain. The classroom, mannequins and the ambu bags were clean. You are given the option of hands on practicing with the AED since there is only one machine for the entire class. Hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes were available. The classroom is fairy small but the chairs are spaced out for social distancing and masks are required. This isn't something I ever would have considered earlier in my life--not for any particular reason, I just wouldn't have done it. However, for the past four months, I have been working with Dennis Bueso, MA, RD (Clinical/Sports Dietitian), and the experience has been nothing like I expected. Being very overweight, I anticipated someone taking charge of the conversation and lecturing me on what I 'better' start doing. I think TV gave me a twisted idea of how these things go. Thankfully, it hasn't been like that at all. Our conversations are excellent and open. Mr. Bueso is incredibly 'chill' and immediately sets you at ease; it feels like a normal, back-and-forth conversation between two people. He is great at following up and is just a genuinely easy person to talk to. Since starting, I've seen amazing results. For those who know what A1C is, mine had been double what it should be for over five years. In just four months, I've brought it down to exactly where it's supposed to be. I give myself credit for controlling my diet, but Dennis has been instrumental in helping me understand what to watch and work on. In addition to the blood work, I've lost over 30 pounds in that same timeframe. I definitely want to give props and thanks to Mr. Bueso. If your doctor has recommended a dietitian, just do it. I worried about how it would go, but those worries were unnecessary. It has been a great experience. Your first…read moreappointment will be a consultation to rate ur pain level and issues to establish a therapeutic regimen. Appointments are 2-3x per week normally. They also give you exercises that you can do at home. I went for the dry needling, but found out my insurance doesn't cover it, but you have the option to pay out of pocket. The room is wide open so it will be several other patients getting worked on at the same time. They do have some private rooms. You're given several exercises to build your strength back up in whatever area you have issues with, and they also incorporate some massage, and heating pads into your treatment. It's about an hour visit, and you're in and out. Wear something comfy. I have used them in the past as well and think its a nice office to use for your therapeutic needs. Check them out!!
