After a long and arduous process of buying our first home, I was struck with the sudden…read morerealization: there was a reason the previous owners kept the windows open to show the bedrooms to potential buyers, it smelled like a wet dog. Obviously, this had to go, since sleeping in a room that smelled like Lassie wasn't a first choice. CCoNJ was pretty great from beginning to end. I called to get a quote on a Thursday, and was pleasantly surprised: Susan, our sales rep (and I believe owner of the company) is as much of a night owl as myself, willing to schlep out to the house well after 5PM to show samples & take measurements. Best yet, she was very helpful and not too pushy, something I really appreciate. After a bit of waffling between what colors we wanted, the order was placed, with an expected installation date of the following week (it was a holiday weekend, so it kind of throws things off). The contractors that came to install the carpet were absolutely fantastic, knocking the 1-bedroom job out in about an hour without any issues. Super courteous and friendly as well. Aside from a slight scheduling issue that was sorted out, everything went flawlessly. Decent prices, great people, and professional installers - when the rest of the rooms need new carpeting (and they probably will), I'll be coming back here.

After seeing all the positive reviews on Angie's List, i selected Sue to replace my water damaged…read morehardwood floors. I am so disappointed with my experience with Carpet and Flooring Center. The only reason Sue is not getting an F is because the floor is finally installed and looks acceptable. That is all due to her installation team, Carlos. The process of getting the floor installed was a totally nightmare. We paid our deposit in October 2019. The floor was not completed until January 4, 2020. First, despite giving us a contract based on a visit to our home, where she saw the exposed concrete slab (floor was torn up due to water damage), Sue ordered the wrong type of floor. This was the week before Thanksgiving. Her installer opened the box and immediately knew the flooring could not be installed on a concrete slab. This lead to an additional $1,000 charge since her bid did not include priming the concrete slab. Fine, mistakes happen and my insurance was paying, no big deal. Next, she tried to redeliver the floor when were weren't home, despite me giving her the days and times we were available in writing. ok, no big deal, mistakes happen. Third, the installation was rescheduled for the Saturday before Christmas. The team never showed up. Called Sue, she said there was a mix up and could they come on the 23rd and 24th? I was pretty nervous to have them working up to Christmas Eve but Sue assured me they would get it done and my family would be enjoying out new floor in time for Christmas. Instead of spending the two days before Christmas enjoying some vacation time, we were trapped upstairs while the crew worked downstairs. At noon on Christmas Eve, I peeked downstairs and saw most of the floor was almost done. I was wondering why it was taking so long to complete the last 10% of the floor and why Carlos was out in the driveway on the phone. Little did I know he was on the phone telling Sue she didn't order enough flooring, despite having been in our house to measure herself! Instead of calling me to explain and apologize, Sue took the coward way out and sent Carlos to break the news that he didn't have enough material to complete he job and he was leaving. Did Sue come to my house to apologize face to face for her utter failure to complete the floor on Christmas Eve as promised? Nope. Did she call me to tell me what was going on? Nope. Did she answer any of the dozens of calls I made to her, or answer any of the messages I left her on 12/24? Nope. How about reply to my emails? Radio silence. A few days later (!!! Yes DAYS LATER) she called to say the rest of the floor would be delivered the upcoming Friday and could I take more time off work for the delivery and so they could finish the job? No apology, no taking responsibility for her lack of communication, no explanation, no refunds. The job was finally completed on January 4th - the long nightmare was over. Could never recommend Sue and Carpet and Flooring Centers after the abhorrent, unprofessional experience I had.

We saved $2,500 compared to the other company (costco) and not only did Carpets & More have a bigger selection of wood flooring the salesman Michael was patient and helpful. The guy that came out to do the measurements was precise and the delivery was timely. Now, the installation which they do themselves gets even better. We had about 750 sq.ft. To be ripped out, about half of it was heavy duty porcelain tile. The guys came, put plastic over our kitchen cabinets and counters and went to work. By the time they installed our engineered hardwood there was hardly a clue any demolition work was done. Everything was cleaned, on time and installed PERFECTLY. And the floors are magazine looking quality. Absolutely top notch experience. Do not waste your time going anywhere else for wood or carpet flooring.

Upon calling last week, a member from his team spoke to me and promised to get back to me in a day on my query on pricing since Mark is away indefinitely. After a week long wait, I called back only to hear from the same person that he didn't remember that he would call back and that we can go to any other place and buy the stuff. This salesman probably forgot to follow up on my conversation and chose to take a aggresive stand to hide their own inefficiencies. Either way, not the best professional experience and I would be very hesitant to recommend this place to anyone anymore.
