The game was sold out, and it was clear that there is a strong demand and fan base that could support a bigger venue with even more attendees. This arena is so cute and intimate. I love that The Dream has their own facility to showcase all the talent on their team. It's dim in the arena, more dim than most. But it's a whole vibe. The court reminds you of a blacktop/street court. Very unique setup. There isn't a bad seat here. The entire atmosphere was lively the entire game from the music, fan interaction, players, and staff that make this experience what it is. Organized co-ed adult league kickball is very, very popular right now (and has been the past four…read moreor five years) in the young adult communities in many cities as both a social scene and also as a new recreational activity. WAKA (World Adult Kickball Association) seems to be the most popular kickball league in Atlanta, though it's getting some stiff competition lately from Go Kickball. WAKA games are played at Hammond Park near Perimeter Mall (In the Sandy Springs / Dunwoody area) and at Piedmont Park in Midtown. Occasionally other league game play locations become an additional option (Candler Park, Coan Park, or Marcus Center). Park play venues and days of the week that games are played are denoted by Divisions (Thrasher, Lightning, Liberty etc) You can register as an individual (free agent) and they will place you on a team. You can also sign up with 15 or so friends and create your own team. Fees vary, but generally run between 65 to 75 dollars for an eight week season. For your money, in addition to organized game play, you get a tee shirt and 2-3 season parties (typically at the league bar). The fee finances 2 or three parties at the league bar (where all the teams gather for after-game socializing, drinking and eating). League members also get discounts at the league bar on certain beverages and food items (but you often have to ask your server or bartender). Said discounts are only good on game day (rain or shine) even if games get canceled due to bad weather conditions. There are similarities and differences when comparing WAKA with Go Kickball. Both organizations have the "Kickball Culture" thing going which I will attempt to describe. Both are dominated by young professional types, mostly single, in their mid twenties to early thirties. You will find a small percentage are folks just out of college and, even fewer, some folks in their mid to late thirties; however, they make up an even smaller percentage. Many married / engaged / otherwise involved couples will also play on teams with or without their single comrades. Some describe the culture as akin to people re-living their frat / sorority days. The culture is also similar to the Hash Hound Harriers in that imbibing (before, during and after game play) is prevalent. Also similar to HHH , team names often have sexual innuendo in them (Multiple Scorgasms, Big Red Balls, My Couch Pulls Out But I Don't, ..Etc). There seems to be a fair amount of hooking up or coupling going on (among the singles who play kickball mainly to meet significant others) but with the numbers game of 60% guys and 40% women, the women have the clear advantage in that area. The most attractive and aggressive men generally have the advantage in beating the odds. WAKA generally has better parties but is more clique heavy / insular; whereas, Go Kickball generally (but not necessarily) has better, or more lively, after game socializing at the league bar. Go Kickball perhaps has more play venue / park choice options with leagues at Piedmont Park (Midtown), Central City Park (Downtown) , Cobb Park (Smyrna), Lynwood Park (Brookhaven) and ?Park (Kennesaw). If you are new to Atlanta (or any city where kickball is offered through one of the two organizations) Kickball is great way to meet new friends. Since most people have not played the game since grade school / middle school, everyone is starting out on a relatively level playing field. Soccer players definitely have an advantage from an offensive weapon standpoint.

I see lots of security (due to concert), but never felt safer walking into a venue. This is a BIG venue, a lot of walking & stairs. I'm certain they have handicapped accessible parking, ramps, elevators & assistance, but I was not looking out for this. We walked in after going through security & it was so clean, not overwhelming & plenty of space for the thousands of guests to walk & not feel on top of each other. I don't have pics of the breezeways or concessions- but I do have a fun clip of the ACDC concert & inside the stadium. Stairs are easy, but thin & a little awkward. A handrail, yes, but due due to the shape of the building the stairs & seats are shaped accordingly. Be careful! Had a great time! Maybe now that I've been we will get to a Falcons game- humm, gotta do better birds!

Even more impressive is these are all volunteers who do this for fun on the side. Makes me want to pull out my old high school band instrument! Where can you find these guys if you're not fortunate enough to hear them at their practice? They play a gang of festivals and charity events throughout the year. I have never heard them play at an event, but now that they're on my radar, i'll seek them out to hear them play for the public. Do yourself a favor and get down to one of their practice sessions if you're able to (especially if you know someone in the band), or even better, bring an instrument of your own and join in! Really, they welcome all comers. Excellent excellent group of people who make their hobby and passion sound good!

The lights and the sound are incredible. In my personal opinion you have to either pony up the money for the pit, or sit out in the lawn, because the reserved seats are a joke. They are almost just as much as the pit, further back, and you are confined to rows. I like the way this place is organized (accept for the taxi situation, which I will address later). The beer and food vendors are located to the sides of the stage it almost looks like a pedestrian street with lots of bars. The bathrooms are clean and the grounds are well manicured and well kept. Now to the taxi situation: I failed as a designated driver, which necessitated finding a taxi. The signage for taxis is severely lacking. They have plenty of signs for shuttles, but none for taxis. We finally found where we thought we were supposed to be, which turned out to be wrong. Were directed to the taxi stand (which is just a sidewalk away from and around the corner from the shuttles, again no signs to get there or to indicate that was the right spot). No people or taxis were there. Get down a hill where there are a bunch of people, but it like Night of the Living Dead down there. Everyone is wasted and mobbing the sporadic taxis that come through and of course somehow already have people in them. The cops are telling us to go back to the mythical taxi stand and not stand in the street. An overall disaster. It took over an hour to get out of there after the show. Please verizon, put up some better signs to assist the drunk people who need taxis!!

He was very attentive to our movement and was able to instruct us in ways in which we are able to improve on our moves and not risk injuring ourselves by doing the moves incorrectly. My experience at ATT was one of better experiences I've had when popping up in a gym that I'm not a member of. I will definitely stop by this gym again whenever I am in town and highly recommend trying this place out!

Since I arrived in Atlanta a few…read moreyears ago and was looking for a place to train, Jucao and all the coaches and members of ATT ATL welcomed me and ultimately became like family. I have moved away, but still any time I pass through the area, I always drop in for some good training. I am still welcomed as if I never left and the skill and professionalism hasn't wavered over time. I was in town this weekend and they have implemented countermeasures in accordance with CDC guidance due to COVID-19, but still offer high level training with the experience and recognition to validate the material taught in training sessions. I highly recommend anyone interested in combat sports, or already involved and looking to level up, go check out out American Top Team - Atlanta!
