We also obtained a second opinion, and their recommendation was consistent with DOM's, which gave us additional confidence in moving forward with them. Before DOM could complete the work, we had even more rain coming, so we called and they came out to tarp the area and help prevent additional damage. That responsiveness meant a lot to us. The repair was completed as promised, communication was excellent throughout, and the cleanup was fantastic. They even went over the area with a large magnetic tool to make sure they didn't leave any nails behind. The area was spotless when they left. When…read moreEric came to inspect my property, Georgia was in the middle of a Covid lockdown and I was pleased that he followed CDC protocols and the entire process was contactless. After inspecting my roof, Eric gave me a call while still outside to give me a summary. He followed up with a detailed estimate and guidance on working with my insurance company. After filing my claim with my insurance company, I had to wait nearly a month for my mortgage company to release the insurance check (the mortgage company had to endorse the check). During this time, I kept Eric in the loop and he was very understanding. In fact, he even offered financing options while I waited for my insurance check. When I finally received the insurance funds, I called The Roof Clinic to schedule my appointment. My roof installation was scheduled for 8am on 8/21/20. That morning, Eric was sitting in his truck outside my house a little after 7am awaiting delivery of the supplies. The team arrived by 7:30am. The supplies were delivered by 7:45am and by 8am they were actually ripping the existing shingles off my roof. By 8:45am they were done stripping the roof. Around 1pm Eric returned to inspect the work that had been done. By 1:30pm, I had a brand new roof and the crew was gone. I can't say enough good things about my experience with The Roof Clinic. Eric was courteous, informative, and very responsive. The work crew was on time, worked quickly, and delivered an excellent finished product. In addition, the price was more than fair! After The Roof Clinic replaced my roof, I discovered the roof-to-edge section was not up to current building code. It took three months of back-and-forth just to get them to bring it up to required building codes. In addition, there were a few lifted shingles, several nail pops, and their team left debris in my sun tunnel. Recently, it came to my attention that a crucial coupler on the sun tunnel was broken during construction. When I brought the broken coupler to management's attention, Eric's initial response was that their warranty "only covers leaks." Evidently, if the crew breaks your property, you are expected to foot the bill. Although Eric agreed to review the repair estimate, over two weeks have passed, and I have heard nothing since. It is now more than 20 months since the roof was replaced and I am still devoting time and energy on this roof replacement. Courteous, yes; exterior clean up, very good. Professional and prompt, sense of accountability, No.

We had a roof installed by Universal Roofing in Fall 2023. Everything seemed fine at first…read more During a siding replacement this year, the siding contractor discovered the drip edge, which is a component of the roof, had been improperly installed. It had been nailed to the fascia instead of the roof decking and tore off as a result. We contacted our project manager, David Locke, assuming the improper installation was a roofing error. He told us drip edge was "out of scope" and not installed by Universal Roofing. Essentially, we were told it was not their responsibility. However, after doing our own follow-up, our insurance company confirmed Universal Roofing billed and was paid $2,034.32 for drip edge installation. So the company billed for drip edge, did not install it even though the existing drip edge was improperly installed, and then denied responsibility. Our home now has no drip edge and the roof is not code compliant. Correcting this could require invasive work that may affect our warranty. We contacted the company multiple times seeking resolution. Management never responded. The only replies came from an administrative assistant, with no resolution offered. I would recommend going with another company.

I needed some work done on my office building's metal roof, so I got several estimates for both repair and a replacement roof. I was shocked at the prices that were being quoted to me, and was about to resort to one specific company to do the job; however, I had to text them several times and ask them to schedule me in, and never received any response. Their attitude was "we are busy without your business"! Luckily, I came across Nailed It Roofing and Restoration on Google; Kevin returned my call right away and came out the next morning to check out the roof. I thought for sure, he will suggest replacing the whole roof just like the other companies. To my pleasant surprise, Kevin recommended that I do some repairs which may hold for a few years and then replace the roof if it is absolutely necessary. My cost for the repair????? It was $275.00 instead of tens and thousands of dollars; how can you beat that? Kevin even came out on a Saturday to do the work so not to interrupt our business; who does that anymore? It's rare to see a contractor with only positive ratings these days, so choosing Tom and Jerry's…read morewas a no-brainer for that alone. I needed to replace the roof on a new home for my son. I obtained a few estimates from different contractors, and they were not the cheapest, but they were reasonably priced with far better reviews than the cheaper option, which is another reason I chose them. Thomas is highly responsive to communication, which again is quite unusual with most contractors in my experience, so that was a nice plus too. They provided evidence of insurance upon request. We paid a 50% deposit to get on the schedule and I was able to pay that by credit card without an extra fee, which was appreciated since it allowed me to get reward points on the purchase. A crew of three guys came out to the house early in the morning and completed the job just before dark. They did a phenomenal job. Each step was documented with pictures to show where rotten decking needed to be replaced, and an explanation of everything. Despite already being reasonably priced, Thomas gave us a nice discount for the extra decking on the final invoice, which was a happy surprised and very much appreciated. They also cleaned up very well after themselves. If you need a new roof or any kind of roof work, Tom and Jerry Roofing is the best there is without a doubt!
