But the attic was still a scorching 155 degrees on a hot day. If I could cut this heat down, it would transfer less heat to the 2nd floor as well. Dimitry came out, walked my attic with me and flew a drone overhead (and gave me some really cool shots of my roof)! He explained that I did a great job with the foil, but I now needed either a ridge vent to pull the heat out or convert my small turtle vents to active solar fans to draw the cool air from the edge soffits and pull the hot air out the top. After inspecting my roof, Eric gave me a call while still outside to give me a summary. He followed up with a detailed estimate and guidance on working with my insurance company. After filing my claim with my insurance company, I had to wait nearly a month for my mortgage company to release the insurance check (the mortgage company had to endorse the check). During this time, I kept Eric in the loop and he was very understanding. In fact, he even offered financing options while I waited for my insurance check. When I finally received the insurance funds, I called The Roof Clinic to schedule my appointment. My roof installation was scheduled for 8am on 8/21/20. That morning, Eric was sitting in his truck outside my house a little after 7am awaiting delivery of the supplies. The team arrived by 7:30am. The supplies were delivered by 7:45am and by 8am they were actually ripping the existing shingles off my roof. By 8:45am they were done stripping the roof. Around 1pm Eric returned to inspect the work that had been done. By 1:30pm, I had a brand new roof and the crew was gone. I can't say enough good things about my experience with The Roof Clinic. We had a roof installed by Universal Roofing in Fall 2023. Everything seemed fine at first…read more During a siding replacement this year, the siding contractor discovered the drip edge, which is a component of the roof, had been improperly installed. It had been nailed to the fascia instead of the roof decking and tore off as a result. We contacted our project manager, David Locke, assuming the improper installation was a roofing error. He told us drip edge was "out of scope" and not installed by Universal Roofing. Essentially, we were told it was not their responsibility. However, after doing our own follow-up, our insurance company confirmed Universal Roofing billed and was paid $2,034.32 for drip edge installation. So the company billed for drip edge, did not install it even though the existing drip edge was improperly installed, and then denied responsibility. Our home now has no drip edge and the roof is not code compliant. Correcting this could require invasive work that may affect our warranty. We contacted the company multiple times seeking resolution. Management never responded. The only replies came from an administrative assistant, with no resolution offered. I would recommend going with another company.

I needed some work done on my office building's metal roof, so I got several estimates for both repair and a replacement roof. Their attitude was "we are busy without your business"! Luckily, I came across Nailed It Roofing and Restoration on Google; Kevin returned my call right away and came out the next morning to check out the roof.
