She is a very direct, no-nonsense person, not rude. I would much rather a doctor be an expert in their field and communicate clearly than one who addresses you as "sweetie" and sugar-coats things. I got within a half a mile and calle agaian and asked if they had any transportation. They called an Uber ride for me and they were there within 2 minutes! It is AI overdone and it is most difficult to get to live person and if you try to go to one expect to get voicemail. When you go for tests you get report that give pictures and numbers but no written narrative to understand the results. You leave with more questions that answers. The office staff is pleasant and there is not a long wait to get an appointment. The waiting room is almost always empty. They sub out another company for colonoscopy prep and they will tell you the cost is $30 versus zero cost if the office calls the script into your local pharmacy - and the service they outsource to for the prep is quite bad. Goes to a call center in Cambodia, I believe, with people laughing and giggling in the background and you cannot understand their English. There is grave confusion in the way they brand themselves as United Digestive versus Atlanta Gastroenterology. They need one brand for the entire operation because they confuse patient. The care is not consistent. This may just be the state of medicine today following the reign of King Donald and cuts made by the muskrat, but this is not the same practice It was several years ago. The mail order service also reached out and attempted 3 times before sending me a letter saying they couldn't put me on mail order because my doctors office wouldn't return their calls. I then called in trying to change my pharmacy because I'd moved to a different neighborhood in town, they never called me back so I ended up having to switch my prescription internally within publix to the nearest publix which is still not my closest pharmacy or where I would like to have my rx filled but I can't go outside of publix bc I can't get ahold of anyone to transfer it! Most recently I asked for an medication refill for something I have to take daily and it took Porsche TWO WEEKS to respond to my pharmacy and me with the response of no?!? I also tried to call back to schedule my appointment at the extension she provided in my voicemail and she still hasn't called back...it's been 6 days. The call center could not schedule the colonoscopy at the hospital and the person that was scheduling never returned the calls to schedule. The office manager never returned the calls either. The office staff is horrible. I don't even know how they are in business with staff that simply doesn't care about doing their job. I will have to start from the beginning and look for another doctor that accepts my mom's insurance.
