Ben's crew came in and expertly removed many white oaks that were allowed to grow dangerously close to the house by the previous owner. The West deck was even built around one of the large white oaks which had already had a large branch break off and land on the roof prior to my purchase. Extremely rude front office staff answering phone. This business couldn't care less about their customers. Changed the amount that they originally quoted me when they saw they could take advantage of the Father's Day storm. I'd rather give zero stars. I assumed nothing. I was specifically told, when I specifically asked, that the price was the same. One I called back several weeks later, I was informed of the new price. This review would have never happened if it weren't for the fact that your front office person hung up on me when I challenged the information. read more

I recently had tree service by Atkins and was less than impressed. It started when I called to get an estimate on some tree pruning/ cutting. The estimator was a no show the day we scheduled and I received  no phone call to explain. After a week and a half I called them and rescheduled the estimate. That was my first mistake. We agreed on a price and set up a date to get the work done. As soon as the workers arrived they immediately started scouting out my back yard/porch. They found a power outlet and plugged in their microwave and made themselves comfortable on my back patio set, leaving food behind after finishing. After 45 minutes of eating they started on the tree trimming. As a side note both trees that needed trimming were in the front yard, not in my back yard. No issues there. When they were finished a member of the crew went to the back yard to presumably urinate on the back of the house before leaving. After calling the office and asking to talk with the owner, who I was told was busy and would call me back. I let Cody know what hapened and asked for a call back from the owner with an explanation of how they were going to fix this and make it right. I got a call a few hours later from Cody who said they apologize, but whats done is done and they could take $50.00 off the bill if I wanted. She also said I dont blame you if you dont want to use us anymore. At this point, I'm astounded at the lack of customer service as it is more than a simple discount at this point. I couldn't even get the owner to call me back and talk, that tells you something about the pride he has in his work and business. read more

I'm on my fourth season of using these guys and they continue to be affordable and trustworthy. It was a shame to see the poor review they got from a lady who waited a long time on them. I've never had that problem with them, but I do know that these guys are busy as they've clearly grown over the past few years. I see some new faces and larger equipment, but that's a good thing as I needed all hands on deck recently. I had major landscape drainage issues that was causing flooding in my basement level. Ben came out and found that an old tree removal from a decade ago had caused a cavity/hollow area in my back yard. It was causing all the rain water to get pushed towards the house. His team removed the problem and regraded the yard in under a day. While I hate paying for stuff I can do myself, this was something I could't diagnose and certainly couldn't fix myself. Flooding problem solved and yard looks great, so thanks Ben and team! read more

Ben at Atkins Tree Care was amazing and I would absolutely recommend them. We asked them to do many difficult tasks and they completed them with ease. They showed up early and got the work done in one day, cleaned up their work (and made our yard look better than before!), and all of their workers we're respectful and communicated every step of the job to us. He did everything he promised and more. Not only that, but they are very knowledgable about tree care and they made sure to cut the trees in a way to keep them healthy. They are very competitively priced, as we received many quotes, and if we need this service in the future I will definitely call him. Atkins was responsive, timely and a pleasure to work with. I contacted them via Yelp on Thursday, Friday they came out to the residence to take a look and provided a quote on site. Monday the work began as promised and was completed by noon. All debris and limbs were picked up and the yard was left in a clean condition. We would use them again for future needs. read more

Excellent customer service. Ben came out & gave me an estimate on removal of half a tree that went down in a storm & trimming low limbs on 3 big oak trees on a Friday. On the following Monday I confirmed with them & they work was done by Friday. They did the work & I think the yard was cleaner than it was before they arrived This is the tree company to call! read more

Hired Atkins to remove a couple of old, dead trees before they could fall and create damage. Their estimate was well below others that I had called. Ben and his asst showed up promptly and did a wonderful job! They were quick and efficient and they left the yard looking better that before! I originally had an appointment for Monday but they had an emergency due to a Sunday night storm so they called to reschedule for Tuesday. I totally understood and Tuesday worked out better anyway. When they arrived, Ben walked my property with me and pointed out several things that they would take care of for me including tree trimming and stump removal. Atkins Tree Service did an excellent job in my yard. They were there to cut down three large trees and grind the stumps. They arrived at 9:15 AM ready to get to work and all three trees were down and yard cleaned up by 11:15 AM. I did several bids before I chose Atkins Tree Service. I was only looking at four and five star rated companies and Atkins wound up being the less expensive bid. I would recommend them to anybody read more

#1 - Scheduling with Atkins Tree Care is easy and their coordinator is very friendly. #2- Ben Atkins is very personable, performs a walk-through on your lot and will tailor services to meet your needs and budget. We had one dead/dying maple tree taken down in the front yard, a medium-large oak pruned, and one very large oak tree (covered in vines) with vines removed and branches pruned. This was an entire day's work and the Atkin's Tree Care team did a fantastic job and warrantied the work - they just came out to remove branches that had snapped due to recent wind/storms free of charge! Furthermore my trees have fared very well with the recent storms and I attribute this largely to the work that was done. #3- All employees on the Atkin's Tree Care team went above and beyond to provide me with education about the types of trees/flowers/bushes I have on my property, best care practices, future concerns, and what to re-plant in place of the dead maple tree. I have been so impressed with their work and will be calling them on any/all landscaping or tree-trimming projects in the future. Highly recommended! read more

I hired Atkins Tree Care to remove a stump of a very large shrub that I had cut back. He showed up exactly when he said he would and did an excellent job of removing it. Even though he had given me a quote over the phone, he never charged me a dime. That has never happened to me before.
