I have had 10 surgeries so far and have been through several therapy places and therapists but I must admit that ATI PT in Schaumburg is the best so far hands down. They actually treat you like a person and even remember and greet you by name. They work with you and your pain and injury rather than go by the book and go out of their way to help you, way beyond the call of duty. They spend time getting to know you and your injury and focus on those points not like the other places that tell you to do your exercises by rote and don't even make eye contact treating you like a zombie. A special shout out to the therapists there who genuinely care like Barbara, Pretzel, Mocha, Brittany and Palak who treated me like family. I've used ATI Schaumburg on several occasions for different rehabilitation needs (neck, shoulder and knee replacement) and each time they have exceeded my expectations! The entire staff makes you feel welcome and go out of their way to greet you and realize this is a trying and painful time in your life. My sister Susan C. had a total left knee replacement and went to ATI for her therapy. Each and every visit she was greeted by name by the staff and Nicole at the front desk. What a nice welcome! She learned so much and had such wonderful help from Brianna who was her favorite therapist. She also worked with Avani and Pretzel who were very nice also. Great staff. I worked with Brianna who is an excellent PT assistant. She was tremendous. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, caring, and most of all worked diligently to get me healed and pain free. It's hard to believe she is an assistant with all she does and all her knowledge. This is the second time I have gone to ATI, and they continue to not disappoint. As soon as you walk in the door each day, you are greeted by everyone on staff by your first name. The staff is amazing. They are the true example of what a team really is. My therapists, Amy and Kevin, are beyond amazing. They took such great care of me. I was only supposed to go for 6 weeks, but they added on an extra 5 weeks of treatment to make sure I made the necessary progress. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Throughout the course of my leg injury, ATI has been the place where I spend quite a bit. The physical therapists there are very knowledgeable and caring when it comes to your treatment. They constantly re-evaluate your pain and mobility, as well as providing new exercises. I am slowly but surely getting back to where I was before my injury, and I thank Jen and all the physical therapists for working through it with me! For quite a while I had been suffering with painful achilles tendinitis and living with daily pain. I saw an orthopedic doctor who advised me to go to physical therapy to learn some passive exercises I could do at home. I contacted ATI and met with Mitali. She was amazing! To begin, COVID procedures were in place - social distancing, masks. She did an evaluation and provided 6 exercises that I could do at home. I began them immediately and within a week I was pain-free! So grateful to Mitali and ATI! read more

I had the most healing, positive experience at this ATI over the course of a year (pre and post back surgery). My first visit, I met with Pretzel and she so patiently and compassionately listened to my whole story, which included lots of my own frustrations and fears dealing with several different back and pelvis problems postpartum. I felt very vulnerable and had already been through many different courses of treatments (different PT facilities, shots, prescription pain meds, MRIs, etc.). Throughout my treatment, I looked forward to every session, and I always felt comfortable to ask any question and pursue any line of thought and healing that I felt I needed. Every therapist was entirely trustworthy, encouraging, patient, and knowledgeable. I am happy to say that after a few years of struggling and pain, because of Pretzel, Bri, Britney, and everyone else, I am now mostly pain-free and feeling so much more empowered than before. I have exercises to do at home, and I can now identify what the cause of my various symptoms are when they flare up and work to mediate them. I used ATI for "pre-hab" and after having ACL reconstruction. I really enjoyed my time here. I was bounced around between different PTAs, but it was fine because there is great communication between the PT and PTAs. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly, encouraging. I'm a very active person, so being injured was tough for me, but everyone was very supportive and kept me motivated. I would definitely recommend them. read more

This past winter I had a hip replacement and was fortunate enough to have found ATI Physical Therapy. From the very first visit until the very last one tremendous care was received, Starting with the drivers (Steve and Ken) who drove me to and from the facility (even when schools were closed due to our winter storm w/ blizzard conditions.) They always had a smile on their face,were very cordial and friendly. Not to mention always took every precaution needed to assist me in and out of the vehicle safely. The secretaries always greeted me and said good bye on my way out. Quite Frankly, All the therapists were knowledgeable and professional to all the patients. The teamwork was incredible and I never waited for equipment, an ice pack or heating pad. They each helped one another thus enabling each patient and myself to receive the utmost attention and care. Truth be told, this is the place you want to be when you are in pain. With each and every visit, I became stronger and self reliant due to the quality care I received. The Schaumburg facility and the people who work there are fabulous. I have no issue's with the people at all. My issue is with the Corporation itself. They do not and will not give you a bill until after all your therapy sessions have concluded. They claim its due to your insurance and that they can only give you the amount of your co-pay once insurance has paid out the benefits according to your policy. Well, now i understand why they do this.....it's because if they were to give you the amount your insurance will not pay, you'll quit going to physical therapy altogether. I had no idea that after everything was done, that i'd end up owing almost $1000 due to Blue Cross paying only a portion. This is deceptive on ATI's part. They know very well that i would've stopped going to physical therapy if i knew i had to pay $1k. Now, the worst part is that if you don't pay the balance off, you have to pay 1.5% interest per month??? That's 18% a year! Are you kidding me???? This company is a joke and the way they do business is to hide what you actually pay until after you're done. Ridiculous. read more

ATI is the baby boomers Puppy Mill of Physical Therapy. There treatment is no better or worse than I have had at other places. Where the rub came is after all the insurance company's were done I was left with a bill. I have spent over a year to try to understand all charges related to my therapy, while friendly ATI staff are all trained to hand you the company line, and maximize billable hours. Had I known I would have brought a stop watch and insisted that anyone working on me that they were not allowed to leave me in the middle of my paid session to treat and bill other patients for the same time. I was also give the impression that all staff that was working on me were certified licensed physical therapists, not assistants, helpers, or students, from what I've bin told this is not the case. My major concern was there lack of privacy of patient files, not only were there times wen my file was left out unattended , but there were times that other patent files were in my full view unattended. It's understandable why there are so many fines are floating at one time because the staff are trying to service numerous patients at the same time. I have never seen a company before the feels it's ok to charge 2, 3, or 4 people for the same blocks of time. The last company I retired from fired an Employee for punching in to get paid and working on the side during his paid time. Till now I always thought it was simple, you work an hour you get paid an hour. Never again!!! read more
