I have been going to Athletico in River Grove on and off for over 11 years. I first got introduced after my first knee replacement surgery and have since been treated for my second knee replacement and am now a patient once again after a work related car accident. I cannot say enough about the top notch team of physical therapists and assistants that work at this specific location, most notably my therapist, David French. I know his work is his passion because of the care I am given each time I have a therapy session. I feel like David truly cares about how I'm doing and what we, together as a team can do to get me back on track. This guy knows his stuff and I am so glad I have him working with me to get me back to my best self! From the moment you walk into the building, the folks at the greeters desk are welcoming and attentive. They are very good about keeping to your appointment time too! I have never waited more than 2 minutes to get taken back to begin my treatment. Even walking through the facility, you are greeted warmly by other therapists with a friendly "Hello" and a smile. Every person that works here seems happy and gives the vibe that they actually enjoy their jobs! Such a refreshing observation to make, especially when dealing with folks that aren't feeling well....we can be kind of crabby but this staff handles it very very well. I recommend this location to everybody whenever I can. This location should be the model locale for the company. They really do a great job here for the patients and the community! I feel fortunate to have such a wonderful group of professionals, especially David French, looking after me! I have such respect for physical therapy since my experience at Athletico. My therapist, Matt Garski, and the entire staff are top notch. They are always courteous, friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. Matt Garski even attended my orthopedist appt. And conferred with my doctor to ensure that we were all on the same page. If you go here for therapy DO NOT let them schedule you with Paul. I have never had a worst experience in my life. This guy is beyond clueless. I can't even explain what happened, because it was so weird. it seemed like the guy was looking for an argument, he was basically yelling at me for 6 or 7 minutes straight. About something he knows nothing about and more importantly was not his concern and none of his business. Not only am I dealing with the pain from my injury now my anxiety is threw the roof...I left that place 6 hours ago and I'm still on fire from the way I was treated. read more

I just wanted to say this Athletico is honestly the best. When you walk in the front staff is so nice, welcoming, and so friendly to talk with. My physical therapist is Christina and she is the sweetest thing ever. You can tell that this is her passion to help by the way she talks with you and how focused she is on her clients. I always feel so comfortable going there especially after dealing with a bad auto accident. They find and customize the best treatment for you so you can recover faster. Everyone in the office is amazing and have such good personalities and all help assist each other. They have really great teamwork and that's how it should be in a workplace. I met one of their PTs (Cassie) at a 5K race I was running. I had been having hip issues and she had me do an injury screen at her office. They were great. They scheduled me for an appointment with an orthopedic doctor they prefered and have been extremely flexible about scheduling my PT appointments. I have gone to many physical therapy centers and this has been my favorite. They worked around my schedule. They are all very kind, professional, and genuine. I have been receiving treatment at AthletiCo for about 6 months and still a current patient. After years of chronic back pain that started to manifest to my leg I was force to undergo a microdiscectomy surgery. Post surgery symptoms were worsen which left me with a droop foot resulting in loss of sensation and strength. Since I began physical therapy I have made a dramatic improvement due to my therapist (Brett). I've been able to start running again in half the time I was quoted from my doctor, decreased pain medication intake and increased my strength. I started going to this Athletico in 2009 for a knee injury. I came back in 2011 after I had knee surgery. and now I am back again. My Physical Therapist is Kristina. She has more patience than I've ever seen in a therapist. She takes so much time to try and help me get better. She comes with me to my doctor appointments which really makes me feel like she isn't just another therapist treating a patient. She is a real person who cares about about getting her patients better. My knee is really messed up. It dislocates constantly, I fall all the time because of it, and it just hurts all the time. She tapes my knee to help keep it in place which helps a lot. She always asks how my knee is feeling, and just makes sure that I;m not in too much pain. When I came here in 2011, i was just put with her. But this time around, I had to make sure that I had Kristina as my therapist. I have been to a lot of other physical therapists since my knee injury first occurred in 2006, and Kristina is by far the best therapist I have ever had. She has so much patience with me, and is helping me get better! She is also hilarious with her Jersey accent! If I ever have to come back here, Kristina will be my therapist for sure.
