This morning I did the exercises given to me by Elite Health along with five incline "sprints" on the treadmill, a weight workout including squats, lunges and deadlifts and walked for a total of two and a half miles. Comfort Keepers has taken care of my father since 2020 or so until his death last month at the age…read moreof 92. We've been very happy with most of the staff who worked with Dad (we probably saw over 20 caregivers over the years.) Dad had dementia and required 24/7 in-home care: both my sister and I live out of the area. CK staff assisted with toileting and eating as well as preparing his meals. Some of the staff were good cooks, others not so much. These latter could heat and serve frozen meals my sister or others cooked, or order food in. They worked with him to keep his mind active, playing cards and working various dementia toys and arts and crafts with him. They took Dad to his many medical appointments, and supervised his taking his medications (which my sister or I would prepare in advance. Staff are not permitted to set up medications.) With our permission, they took him out to outside enrichment activities and occasional meals out. Due to his dementia, he was occasionally belligerent: the staff had dementia training and most of them were well able to work with him when he got this way. Todd, one of the co-owners, took the lead on ensuring that our wishes and Dad's needs were met, always going the extra mile for us. Before Dad's dementia set in, he made clear that he wanted to stay in his home of 60 years. 24/7 in-home care is not cheap, but we're glad we were able to arrange it for him with Comfort Keepers.

PJ/Pam was very supportive and assisted by providing a schedule for me to choose appointments as I travelled from San Francisco to seek Dr. Mally's expertise for 3 days of treatment. I came into their Tri-Med office with a headache, back pain and slight limp to compromise for my foot pain. After a full exam and x-rays Dr. Mitch explained my jaw has been out of alignment which contributed to chronic migraines. He also showed me 3 compression fractures of my mid back thoracic area in my x-rays. He felt where my foot was hurting. He then strategically realigned my body from head to toe! When he worked on my jaw and my jaw starting getting into proper position, I was overcome with appreciation. The pain in my head finally began to fade. My jaw was moving much smoother without clicking and popping in my ears. I was advised to eat soft food and not chew too much. He checked my neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, back, hips, legs and finally my feet. When Dr. Mitch realigned my cuboid bone I was able to walk balanced again versus avoiding the painful foot. He also aligned my fingers and toes. I've been suffering with migraines almost daily for about 2 years. I'm grateful to report since returning home to California from Iowa only 1 headache this past week. I'm starting to feel more like my happy self again.
