I moved in in 2016, I tried posting this earlier, this morning I called because my fridge stopped working, by afternoon a man had been here look at it and he's gone already wow I mean that's unheard of. I'm so grateful for Athens realty. To be honest I'm blown away they were so fast. I've been listening to my children complain they have their own places in different cities and horrific landlords they wish they had mine both of them already said that today. I truly mean this when I say wow, I am so grateful I'm renting from them and no one else. They are always so friendly when you pay your rent even you feel glad you visited. I cannot select a rating. I paid $40 app fee to be told oh I'm sorry but another tenants place flooded so the one you were to get is being given to this other tenant as long as they pay deposit. Now if they rent from you why would they have to pay another deposit? They were given til 5 pm yesterday to show up with deposit well then they extended it til noon today so of course I called and guess what no answer and no call back of course but trust I will get that $40 app fee back whether they like it or not. The management is nice and the house is the best place I've lived in Athens. However, I've been asking them to fix a leaking pipe in the attic that is causing a mold to grow out of a hole in the ceiling above my shower...since January. Multiple emails, I've called them. Someone came out and diagnosed the problem as the leaking pipe, and they keep saying they're going to send someone out to fix it, but alas nothing has happened. Keep in mind I have reminded them every single time we've spoken about the matter that I have a mold allergy...and they still haven't done anything about it. If you want to have nice management, this is the real estate company. If you want to have things fixed in a timely manner, try someone else. read more

This is the most dishonest company I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. The Apartment I rented from them was declared pest free in the contract, but upon moving in I discovered it was long infested with roaches, with roach feces and bodies in every crevice of the apartment. In may of 2018 my window started flooding (it was underground in a culvert and the gutter broke and drained directly into it). I promptly called Ms Barbara every day and it only took until the middle of July for them to finally get off of their lazy asses and inspect, only to tell me there wasn't a problem. Finally, at the end of the month they sent someone out and it was fixed. After I moved out, I was charged nearly the entire security deposit for damages caused by their own roach infestation and for damages to the window caused by their own incompetence, and when I have so far tried to get the deposit back I have only been met with lies and avoidance. Save yourself the trouble and rent from anywhere else. Living in your car is better than here. Also, if you're a college student they will definitely try to prey on you. They know you don't have the money to go to court or the time to fight them. read more
