On my last visit I got a balayage, toner, cut and style by the owner Malina who did such a phenomenal job on my hair that I can't stop staring at it 24/7. Just take a look at the photos I've attached for visual proof. The ladies at Gamme understand what it takes to make a salon experience fantastic - they take their time to get it right and make sure your hair stays healthy after the treatments so you stay looking fabulous between appointments. I can't say enough good things about this place... It is run but an ambitious, dedicated, inspiring lady boss (Malina) who has a hardcore loyal clientele (no wonder!) and is in my opinion a visionary and avant-garde leader for the Montreal hair scene. What I loved about this salon is they went above and beyond to make me happy and it was such a wonderful welcome to the French Canadian people. Benoit and Daniele beautifully styled our hair. First let me tell you how they treated us with EXCEPTIONAL FULL SERVICE. I was in a terrible time crunch and did not have time to do my nails so they brought me a nail file, acetone, and I did my own nails while they were doing my hair. They also brought us a big standing makeup light and let us stay in the styling chairs after they were done so that we could do our makeup. And to top it off, a glass of champagne or a beverage of your choice to only make things better! Finally and most importantly, Benoit and Daniele did a beautiful job on our hair! They were both so diligent and skilled. I am very particular so I went through a lot of places and their reviews before deciding on Helmet Salon for a hair cut and a completely new look after having super long hair for months!! Booking an appointment was easy and a smooth process. They booked me in for the time slot I was free and told me I would get Sacha. Got there for my haircut and met Sacha. We discussed the photos I had saved and the look I was going for at length and he was very patient and responsive! We agreed on a style and he gave me exactly the same look I was going for!!! I was very nervous, as my hair is complicated to cut. I have always had very thick, curly and long hair and was worried going in, but he promised that was his favourite type to cut. Clearly that's true because he did a great job!! Took his time with the cut, gave me a great blow dry and then straightened my hair!!
