My sister and I went for our first head spa and it was the best! Sydney took care of me and she was so amazing. She took the time to explain everything to me, was gentle with my scalp and was extra caring, as I'm 6 months pregnant. I like seeing the before and after of my scalp. I do wish they would take a little time to learn more about my current hair routine to make suggestions on what I could be doing differently. I heard a girl a couple chairs down get a full explanation of what she should be doing. The massage table was a little intense. I asked for it to be turned down and she did but I still didn't care for it. Felt a little claustrophobic for me and I think I was just nervous about laying on my back for so long. Totally a me thing not them. Loved the deep hair wash and the different oils and stuff she used. Didn't care for the complimentary drink options. We got a discount for attending a Yelp event there the previous week. That definitely helped make our decision to try it out because it is pretty expensive. 10/10 will go again! read more

My sister and I came here for a Yelp event a week ago, and we decided to come back for full service because we really enjoyed it. We took advantage of the couples room, which I highly recommend if you're going with a friend. It was nice to chat during the appointment with her. We started with the express option, and both had very mixed reviews. I overall really enjoyed the service, I loved the pampering and the vibe. I did not like, however, that there was not any time taken to understand the hair care routine that I currently have, or any time for me to ask questions about what kind of products would be recommended based on what my scalp looks like. I really appreciate the picture that they take, and prioritizing scalp health, but I heard that from a girl two mirrors down from us. The girl who was conducting her appointment, asked about her current hair care routine, the products that she was using, and what her goals were. I feel like that's very important if you're coming here for the first time, so you can understand what you may be doing right or wrong, and what products will help get you to the goals that you have. I feel like this was not done for me during this visit. The actual session in the room with a massage chair was amazing, and I really enjoyed all of the products that were used and my hair feels really good. I just wish that there was more time to help and guide so I can continue at home care. It wasn't even asked about buying products, I think that the girl was in a rush because she had another appointment after me. read more

The space is clean, well kept, and initial check-in was friendly. Sydney was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. I really appreciated her taking the time to educate me and providing me with ways I can care for my scalp after the appointment. I was expecting a little more of a massage during the hair washing portion, but I think because my scalp was a little dry, she focused more on scrubbing, which I understand. The chair is a massage chair, but the massage was okay. Better than nothing! I made my appointment over the phone, and one feedback I have is that whoever is taking the appointment should absolutely work this question in during booking: "Do you have long hair?" This is a question listed for online self-booking, and it apparently adds on an extra 15 min free of charge to ensure the person taking care of you gets ample time! Sydney had informed me of this. I wasn't asked if I had long hair, and for someone new to Atana, they may not realize that it's a helpful piece of information to provide. The appointment came with a complimentary beverage, and it was okay; I had the pumpkin turmeric chai, which had chai notes, but my friends got the matcha rose latte and butterfly latte and those both tasted like there was too much milk. read more

My daughter's hair was still oily in the back and did not hold one curl. Mine did not hold any curl as well. We left looking pretty bad. The valley had a gap in its (plethora) of spas and ATANA filled it perfectly. Among the med spas, day spas, facial-only spas, full service resort spas, what was missing was a Japanese head spa! I indulged in the Signature service and Nicole did a fantastic job! Her touch/pressure was the perfect combo of firm (to really get into my thick hair) and relaxing. Nicole is a true expert with years of experience in the hair industry. She took the time to explain every step to me but also offered silence for those who prefer relaxation. Since it was my first time in I was fascinated and wanted to learn. The signature included collagen moisturizing gloves and hand/arm massage which was lovely. The "full 15 min blow dry" is a "rough dry" not a full blow out. It was plenty for me, even with long h the ick hair but if you want a real blow out make sure to add that on. Overall a wonderful experience! My scalp feels clean and refreshed. My hair feels soft. What I would change: - wear a button up/zip top. Would have just made it easier to get dressed after the service. - asked them not to seat me right next to someone. There was a long row of salon chairs and they sat me right next to the only other person in the spa. Why not give one chair of space in between if it's pretty empty? They do have a (understandably) strict cancelation policy. Unfortunately I booked with my BFF whose flight from NY got cancelled so she could make it. Can't wait to return with her! And I learned that even though it's not available to book online, if you call, they can put you and your partner in the room where there are two treatment chairs so you can be together :) read more

Came in to try their growing facial business to complement their extensive hair and scalp offerings. Rather limited menu on the facials, however, the website mentions this business will be expanding to some more complete treatment soon. I opted for the lymphatic facial, with the add-on of a rose mask treatment. My facial was done by Ms. Sydney Carroll and can't say enough about the thoroughness and care that I got. The lymphatic massage of my face and neck felt marvelous. And the cleaning, application of the Rose mask, and a final moisturization made me feel like 1 million bucks. The salon was hopping pretty good at 6:45 on a Monday night, so I expect it gets crowded on the weekends. Reservations highly recommended. Facility is quite large with many treatment rooms, everything seemed very clean and fresh and the treatment rooms were perfectly lit for a comfortable feeling. The spa is located in a strip center, so there's plenty of parking. And when you finish your treatment, they have a latte of your choice waiting for you as a parting gift. I will definitely be back and will probably ask for Sydney again as I think She is one of the first aestheticians they have for facial work. Well, done experience. read more

Booked a Glory treatment for the GF and I to celebrate her birthday. I'm not one for massages typically. Other people pulling and stretching my body isn't relaxing for me. THIS however, I could do once a month at least. The booking staff was so helpful in getting me set up with two appts at the same time. We arrived about 5 min early and they got us in our chairs right away. It all starts with a quick oil infused hair massage in your choice of scents, then a camera inspects your scalp for buildup around the follicles, dandruff, dry skin, etc. Super cool to see a close up of my scalp! Then they walk you through the treatment and take you in back for the true spa experience begins. Undress to your preferred comfort level, a robe is provided and you lay on a table with automated massage things in it. (Like a massage chair at the mall, but a table) then they spend the remainder of your appt scrubbing and shampooing and conditioning and exfoliating and massaging and soothing you with all kinds of creams and shampoos and wonderful aromatherapy... it's heaven. I simply can't overstate how wonderful it was. Worth EVERY penny without a doubt. The GF loved it and came out looking so relaxed i thought she was going to fall asleep on the drive home. I booked a 120-minute "Glory" head spa service at ATANA as part of a carefully planned self-care day, with multiple appointments scheduled back-to-back. Unfortunately, the experience became stressful before I even arrived. The day before my appointment, I received a text asking if I'd be willing to move my start time from 11:30 to 12:00. I didn't respond because I couldn't accommodate the change -- my schedule was intentionally tight to allow time for checkout, getting ready, and commuting to my next appointment. Despite that, later that same day I received a text and email confirming that my appointment had been rescheduled anyway. This was frustrating, as the original message explicitly said my time would remain unchanged if I didn't agree. The forced delay created unnecessary anxiety and risked making me late to my next appointment, which defeats the purpose of booking a relaxing, indulgent experience in the first place. What made this more disappointing is that ATANA enforces a strict 24-hour policy where guests are charged a 50% fee for late cancellations or reschedules -- with "no exceptions." Yet in this case, my appointment was altered well after that window, without my consent. That double standard left a bad impression. I understand that therapists may need preparation time, and I respect policies when they're applied consistently. However, communication and consent matter -- especially when clients are paying premium prices and planning their day around your services. Despite this, the experience was other-worldly. From the moment I walked in, Ximena was super friendly and explained everything to me. Michelle, my therapist, was so kind and walked me through my first visit. During the session, she put me to sleep several times--and I'm a snorer! I felt refreshed and lighter after it was all done and can't wait to come back. read more

Tracy is incredibly knowledgeable and has such a healing touch, which made the whole experience wonderful. I came here for a pamper day with two of my besties on a Sunday and we had the BEST experience! The decor and ambiance of the head spa is fresh, modern, and calming. I got the signature service which was an hour and fifteen minutes of pure delight. They start with a camera on your scalp to show buildup, dryness, etc. You can pick your preferred scent to use throughout the treatment as well. Then, they comb your scalp and fold oil into your hair while you are sitting in the chair (and do a little massaging at that time as well). Next, they take you back to a soothing massage room with a bed that warms + massages and they give you a soft robe to change into for full relaxation. They use a sink/water feature to massage, wash, apply a hair mask, steam, and more. Lastly, they take you back out to the chair and bring you a complimentary beverage of your choice from their menu and end with a blowout (or you can leave with wet hair and request a tad more massage time). The head spa treatments were relaxing. Everything that's done is very intentional: how the product is put on, how it's massaged in, how it's rinsed out. It's very sensational (pun intended ). The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the bed you lay on during the treatment is an electronic massage bed. I'm sure lots of people would love this added bonus. I'm just not a fan of "robot" massages and as a result of not using the massage feature, the bed was rather uncomfortable. I did try the bed and once it was off, I felt like I was better able to enjoy what the head masseuse was doing. read more

I really wanted to love this place, but I unfortunately had an experience that likely won't bring me back. I visited the spa for a scalp treatment and went through the first portion, including scalp analysis, oil, and exfoliation application, and was brought to the treatment room. After changing into a robe and getting comfortable, I was informed by the practitioner that the treatment could not be continued because of my inflamed seborrheic dermatitis. While I understand the decision was medically appropriate, I was surprised this wasn't identified earlier in the process. There was an apology, but no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, no offer to make it right, and no offer to wash or dry my hair. I had to leave with greasy, wet hair. This was a birthday treat for myself, which made the experience especially disappointing. read more

The "massage" was less than a minute long and I did not receive part of the service with the handheld massage tools like my friends all did which was supposed to be included. It was all very choppy and not relaxing at all. Basically a triple shampoo to leave with your hair wet. If you are looking for a place to really clean your scalp and hair, this is for you. They spend most of the time rinsing and washing your hair multiple times with different oils and masks. You get to choose your scents which is nice. I was under the impression when I booked I would be getting scalpmassages throughout the visit. I did get a hand/ forearm massage while my hair was being steamed and some sort of electric head massage for maybe a minute or two but that's it. I didn't even get the circular water massage that is advertised. It seems the main goal is to show you how clean they can make your scalp because they show you before and after photos of a microscopic view of your scalp and really focus on that and talk about it. The woman who did my hair was very kind and attentive and the salon and tools were very clean. The back room that they take you to for the bulk of the visit was very loud- you can hear other people talking with soft spa music in the background so not the most relaxing . You get to sit in a massage chair which was great. I bought the signature package and I absolutely don't think it's worth the price. They do give you a drink included at the end but if you don't like it or have allergies/ restrictions to where you can't drink it they don't even offer you water or any sort of refreshments. I thought that when I would walk in the door they would offer me water or tea or something like that- things that most salons do. Lastly they do "dry" your hair but we ran out of time so I left with mine half wet. Not a super big deal but for the price of $169, I would expect a little more/ But overall I would not come back. read more

This has to be the most unprofessional business I have ever come across. A few weeks ago they put out an ad online that they are looking to hire licensed cosmetologists for the scalp therapist position. I went in person with my resume and was told by an employee named Michelle there was no manager in that day. Michelle texted me after I left and asked me to forward my resume to their hiring manager. I did just that and I received an email back quickly from the hiring manager named Cherrie Paul asking me what day and time that week I would be available for a video call to interview. I emailed Cherrie back that same day and told her my availability and I was very excited! A couple days go by and I haven't received any confirmation or response to my email so I decide to follow up and try again to get my interview scheduled. A couple more days go by and still no response. I emailed her again letting her know I'm still very interested in the position and wanted to make sure she had received my emails regarding my availability for an interview and to let me know if any additional information was needed. STILL NOTHING. I felt very confused and wondered if somehow she hadn't received my emails so I decided to text the employee Michelle who had asked me to forward my resume to the manager. I sent Michelle a nice text just letting her know what happened and thought for sure she would be willing to look into it for me considering the circumstances and that she could at the very least have just screen shot my text to a manager. Well, the apple doesn't fall far with this establishment because she read my message right away and left me on read. I don't know what their problem is, but it's very rude and unprofessional to show interest in someone who wants to be a part of your company and then ghost them without any explanation. It's already hard enough in this day and age getting out there looking for a new job and then to be given the run around is really a disappointment. They could have easily had some human decency and responded with even just a sentence letting me know they changed their mind so that I don't waste my time writing follow up emails/texts. read more
