With Ted was a calisthenics based class, no cardio but boy did I work up a sweat. Definitely a full body workout. Then I took Yoga Flow that is taught by Ted's amazing wife. Wow was that hard. Samahdi Yoga Studio is located directly across the street from the Walmart in the Santurce area (5 minutes from Condado, 10 from Old San Juan) and there is free parking if you enter via the back of the building on Condado Avenue. Jendar is 100% the real deal and has done a lot of work to give people an amazing experience of Puerto Rico- from Bomba dance lessons, to private museum tours, yoga on the beach, waterfall hikes, catered local farm-to-table meals, and meditation, yoga nidra-- the activities just go on and on! Even with all the items on the schedule there is still the perfect amount of time to relax, see San Juan, explore Ocean Park, Condado- or go to poetry readings and salsa at night! I have lived all over the world and currently still have homes in a number of places, Puerto Rico being one of them. So all that meant to say, I've used a LOT of gyms and trainers. What's unique about Armando is he customizes the workouts to your age, stage and body. He also goes the extra mile to stretch you and work on problem areas. He's very knowledgable, personable and motivating. He also is a good example of fitness, flexibility and lifestyle. Don't let the lack of machines or bar bells rack you out. I promise you'll leave there sweating your ass off and seeing results and importantly setting new goals and feeling better about yourself. Client for life (when I'm here).

I learned improvements to some exercises I have been doing for years. I've only been going for three weeks, and I already see noticeable changes in myself. Normally I get bored of fitness classes and find them repetitive, but this gym mixes it up each class, so I'm often learning something new. This is a fantastic gym!
