I cannot speak highly enough about Granny Nannies. When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's…read moreand needed in-home assistance, I did my homework. Granny Nannies was the first company that offered everything we were looking for--and they exceeded all expectations. From the start, the administrative team--including my case manager and the owners, Melvin and Meghan--were consistently responsive, supportive, and genuinely invested in my mother's care. My mother shares her home with her 93-year-old partner, who also has dementia, and Granny Nannies understood the complexity of caring for both of them. Our primary caregiver, Marie A., was truly exceptional. With over 20 years of experience, she brought not only professionalism but deep compassion and warmth to her work every single day. Marie cared for all of their needs--providing physical and emotional support, managing doctor appointments, coordinating care, and keeping the household running smoothly. Her presence brought peace of mind to our whole family. She supported them through a wide range of challenges, including a broken hip, anxiety, depression, and the daily realities of dementia. Marie consistently went above and beyond in every way, and we are endlessly grateful for her dedication. We were also fortunate to have Anna G. assist Marie at times. Anna is sweet, warm, and caring--her gentle presence brought additional comfort and kindness to the home. She and Marie worked together beautifully to provide consistent, high-quality care. We feel incredibly lucky to have had such a remarkable team by our side during such a difficult and emotional time. I wholeheartedly recommend Granny Nannies to anyone seeking compassionate, professional, and truly outstanding care for their loved ones.

Annabel is a very caring professional. She exudes happiness and helped to cheer me up which, I think, helped me to heal. Always helping me with my needs even in the middle of the night and with a smile on her face. I also had a wonderful experience with Thaura Abdalia for several months. Thaura, also very professional and helpful and she is a gentle soul. Always willing to do whatever I asked to be helpful to me. Easy to talk to and my little dog picked up her good vibes and like to hang out by her, she'd get excited to see her when she arrived. I only saw Elizabeth Cruz for three days but I liked her immediately. Also very professional, and couldn't do enough to make sure my every need was taken care of. I would recommend any of these ladies, they would not disappoint. Granniesnannies apparently hires only the best. The company itself needs a little revamping of organizational skills and better technology to track things. This is the reason I gave only 4 stars. The caretakers would get 5 stars.

**READ IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONE**…read more This facility in all honesty needs to be closed. -They accept COVID patients which is fine IF you have the proper ventilation, they do not. The AC in each room is a wall unit like you'd find in a less classy hotel, but I believe hotels clean theirs.. this one unit had mold in it. The same phone in my family members room was covered in yellow gunk as if someone was talking and eating. I cleaned it and everything else before i felt ok to leave. -The nurse call buttons, they do not alert the nurses station, and the "speaker" doesn't work. My family member called me via her cell phone numerous times in pain, or needing something and waiting for almost 45 mins with no response, my family member called and the receptionist hung up on her because my family member didn't speak Spanish. -The food is absolutely atrocious, it's the same thing multiple times serviced differently. It usually arrived cold or chilled and who in their right mind wants to eat cold eggs ESPECIALLY if you are served them every morning. In one form or fashion. - Do they care? My family member was coughing a lot, and it got worse quickly. We spoke to the director of nursing (he's also a waste of time, he delegates everything to everyone on his team and NOTHING gets done hence why my family member became so sick). They finally put her on meds, unbeknownst to us she wasn't seen by a doctor. I dropped a semester at school because i realized I needed to visit her everyday. I went in one morning to find her skin color being off, I altered the nurses station and when their oxygen was checked they were at 82%!!!! They ran like hell and got oxygen tanks and non rebreathers to get her stats back up. WHY?!? Is it my responsibility as a family member to make sure they don't aide in my family members passing. - I received a call later that evening that during rounds they noticed that my family member was short of breath so they called the Dr and they took my family member to the hospital. A BLESSING in disguise. - There were lab levels on my family member that were so low they could have had a seizure or more, and they would have NEVER know because they look at the lights, I've sat their and have heard MANY people yelling for help because they don't come. - The facility has these small little like fruit flies, they're absolutely disgusting and everywhere! Talking to this supposed "DON" in the midst of our convo apologized about the flies and chuckled, in a medical facility! Are you kidding me? Finally I hope to be able to update this post as soon as we are finished proceeding in a manner my family feels is deserving with the information, documentation, and photos to back it all up. Unfortunately between Ponce Rehab and Miami Springs Rehab sent her in septic shock in less than two weeks. The rehab team here is amazing. She had a roommate who was adorable, and became my mother's friend immediately. The staff is very friendly and speak Spanish, which was very helpful since that is the language my mom is most comfortable with. The food was great. Hopefully we won't have to return anytime soon, but if mom is ever in the same situation I will definitely bring her back here. They treated us like family and we will be forever grateful.

Cannot explain what a relief it's been to find a qualified, communicative, flexible home health aid…read moreprovider in Miami. The hunt to find caregivers was exhausting-probably made worse because this is a stressful decision and one that when that time comes, a loved one is already in pretty bad shape. Preferred Care at Home of South Miami was the very first place I called that I had access to the owners (it's a pair of siblings). Both Ricky and Natalie immediately provided emails and cell phones and just that communication is life changing. We interviewed several caregivers and we had several options through Preferred Care. Our needs were pretty specific, including English speakers. In miami, that's harder to find than you might think, especially in the home health care space. Within the first few days we adjusted the schedule multiple times, and Preferred Care was SO understanding. I'm guessing when a family first initiates home health care services, it's a guessing game as to what schedule and needs the family member needs. But they were incredibly flexible and understanding. It's been a few months and we have daily care (split between several caregivers) who have all been AMAZING. They help with bathing, doing errands with my mom, taking her to doctor visits if I cannot, prepping simple meals and most importantly, helping my mom get around so she doesn't fall again. This service has saved my mom's life. I'm certain of that. But we "kissed" (aka interviewed) a BUNCH of frogs before finally finding a home care provider that made us comfortable and that we could communicate easily. I will also report that even though we are in a routine now, I still regularly text/call the owners wheh there is a schedule change or when we have family in town and owners are ALWAYS easy to reach and hyper understanding. I highly recommend.
