La Barbera Movers are the top of the heap of anyone we've hired to help us move. Everyone was professional work extremely fast and they finished in a surprisingly rapid manner. We kept saying to each other I cannot believe how great this company is. We were literally astonished. They were careful with our belongings and they placed them in the new house exactly where they were labeled to be placed. They also unrolled the carpets and mats and offered to do all kinds of things that no one ever did before. Every member of the group was professional and hard-working. Take our word for it, don't waste your time anywhere else. Call Labarbera. From a couple that have moved literally over 40 times. These people are THE BEST! Mic drop.

They wouldn't be able to come for another two weeks. We asked to be compensated we were all packed up. They said no and we could cancel and find someone else. We were all packed and said no we would wait for them. The customer service was awful. She acted like it was our fault the truck broke!!! Not the nicest person. When they finally came two weeks later we mentioned to the movers about the truck being broken. The movers didn't know anything about a truck being broken. . . We knew we were lied to from the beginning. The real reason was they had another delivery in CT and they combined our move with them. I would definitely find another moving company in Myrtle Beach.

Nothing broken, damaged or missing. All aspects of their work was top notch and made what can be a stressful event into just another couple of busy days for us. All member of the move day teams were respectful and detail oriented in their work. all items that were taken apart for the move-out were properly reassembled at the move-in location. Large items were properly and securely protected and wrapped for the move. The team did not damage walls, floors or any other part of the move-out or move-in homes. Walk throughs were performed on both ends of the move before and after the loading/unloading. The teams were on time on both ends of the move and super accommodating for any questions or request we had. Initial estimate walk through was thorough, and pricing quote was honest and fair. Signed contract pricing was honored and no surprise gottchas at the end of the move. The company is fully licensed and insured for the work they contract to perform, and they complete that work without any drama or surprises in a professional manner. From the office employees to the onsite movers, this company and its team are excellent at what they do. Shout out to Corey, Emmet and Nick for your hard work and support on our move. I highly recommend Positive Moves without hesitation if you are in need of services they provide.

For example, a 65 inch TV powered up the evening of the move, suffered internal damage their claim the TV did not reflect any external damage to the screen or casing. Most often the newer tv's when dropped, would not show any outside damage,, even with its interior parts being broken. Their claim was the TV was already broken prior to the move, or why didn't I power up the TV once delivered. The movers were quick to leave and pressured me to sign the delivery receipt. They also claimed that the TV should've been boxed up rather than padded. All I heard were excuses, even with the other items that were damaged in the move. Our 85-inch TV was clearly part of the move, was discussed, and was packed/wrapped by their crew. After the move, we discovered the screen was cracked and the TV was ruined. Yes, we were told the morning of the move that TVs are not covered, and we signed the paperwork. But at that point, we were already moving that day and had no realistic alternative for a 100+ pound, 85-inch TV. That kind of policy should be made crystal clear during the estimate, not when the truck is already there. A moving company should not agree to pack and transport a large, expensive television and then take zero responsibility if it is damaged. "We'll move it, but if we break it, that's your problem" is not acceptable. I spoke to the manager, Keith, and told him we were happy with the move until discovering the broken TV. We generously tipped the 4 movers and I was planning to recommend them as I'm a realtor. He would not give a penny toward our loss. We are now out the cost of replacing an 85-inch TV, which is approximately $2000. I absolutely do not recommend this company.

He had the crew show up to my job, load truck, and then go get gas...charging me $234 per hour to do so. He sent 4 VERY young movers to my job and there was no leadership. The boys were very nice but they had no business moving people without a seasoned mover who could provide leadership and direction. They dropped my dresser and put a hole in the wall. Shattered the dresser completely destroyed. At one point I walked up to the condo and found the sofa stuck between the door jam. I said "pop the hinges of the front door and you can get it in there". Seriously....4 guys with very little experience. Most of the time the leader was on the phone with his boss....which then created a situation of everyone stopping work. At one point they were in the parking lot...one guy holding a box and the leader stopped to take a phone call. The other guy just stood by him until I said, "why don't you take that box upstairs while he finishes his phone call". CRAZY. A $800 move ended up costing me over $2000 because they are not experienced movers. This was a move with: VERY heavy dresser, sleeper sofa, a second sofa, night stand, 4 boxes, a rug, a boxed mattress, and a canopy bed frame that was already broken down and wrapped up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....YOU WILL BE VERY VERY VERY SORRY.
