I was not told up front I would be charged for part of our visit. It was for a contact consultation. That literally involved 5 mins of time by the way. I assumed we wouldn't be charged that twice since we did that the first time my daughter got contacts. So yeah not very happy. Then I'm told that since she has a balance she can't have her glasses. Um what? She needs them to see. The manager was rude. So I wrote a check even though that wasn't budgeted for the week. Then we are told my daughter can't have a note for school because she didn't see the doctor that day. What? Regardless of seeing the doctor she missed part of her day at school to pick up her glasses. I was then lied to again and told the school has asked them not to write notes unless the doctor is seen. I said my daughters school name and the manager was rude again and said I'll just get you a note. I said never mined and walked out. I also informed her that they lost seven patients that day because we will not be back. I did call my daughters school and let them know and was told that her school has NEVER told anyone to not write a note. I would not recommend going to Midwest Eye ever.

Due to the fact that I have a full time job and the business has extremely unusual business hours for a guitar shop (closed on weekends, open 7:30 - 10:30 & 12:30 - 4:30 Monday - Friday), I decided to call them because I was extremely interested in purchasing the speaker cabinet, but I live 3 hours away. Their voicemail message said to leave a message and they would return my call, so I left a detailed message explaining the situation on Monday, 4/6/26. Two days later, on 4/8/26, I still had not received a call back from them. I called again - this time during their unusual business hours. Someone answered the phone. I explained the situation to him and we made an oral agreement that he would hold the speaker cabinet for me until I could take the day off work and make the 6 hour round trip drive to pick it up from him on Friday, 5/1/26. During the first 2 weeks that followed, I saw that the cabinet was still being advertised for sale by them on eBay and Reverb. The third week, it is no longer on these websites. On Thursday, 4/30/26, the day before we had agreed to make the deal, I called them back to confirm. The man told me he doesn't have the cabinet anymore. He said it was being stored at the residence of an employee, and they can't locate it. It's missing, lost, gone. He said if he ever finds it, he will call me - which would then be the first time he ever called me. I took the day off work to make the long drive to purchase and pick up this cabinet because they are closed on weekends and like most people, I have a full time day job Monday - Friday. Thank goodness I called first. I've been looking forward to purchasing this speaker cabinet for three weeks and my day of paid time off is completely wasted - and without even so much as a simple 30 second courtesy call to save me from driving 6 hours for nothing. I would not recommend doing business with these people.

He even gave me his personal cell phone # in case I had any questions about the guitar, etc. I got a great deal on a great guitar and great customer service. Can't really get much better than that.
