Wow! I can't believe I finally gave in to the iPhone bandwagon! And as a recent happy customer, I feel I have to pay it forward to other future should-I-get-an-iPhone? customers. The AT&T Store here is located at a shopping plaza, in between Tractor Supply Co. and a sports apparel store. Across is Wal-Mart Super Center. They have all current models of the iPhone, including both colors, black & white for the 3GS. Their accessories are pretty cool, not the tacky ones like from Radio Shack or Wal-Mart. If you're not looking for an iPhone, they have numerous brands and models to choose from also. Staff is okay. Since there's not a lot of customer traffic, you may be accommodated immediately. Matt P. helped us out in the two visits we made. The first trip was a dud since I couldn't go ahead with the purchase if the primary account holder, my husband, wasn't physically present. I made Matt know I was upset since I called ahead to ask what was required for a service transfer. But apparently, the person on the phone failed to mention that major detail. But Matt helped me out and gave options. He was very patient and apologetic. Although in the end, my best bet was to go back the next day with my husband. We did get what we came for so, 4 stars for a smooth, stress-free transaction. I think Matt P. deserves it. read more

Went into the Potsdam store to get my daughter a new phone and even after I told them I didn't want the next plan. they signed me up for it. good thing att sent an alert to my phone notifying me that I was enrolled before I was even out of the store. when I asked them to remove it they said they couldn't and I would have to remove it from my account in 14 days. this is a scam they are doing to give them a kick back from corporate. after speaking to the manager Dana it was obvious he is involved as well because he told me to "prove it bro". and would not give me the number to the district manager. i spoke with the people at corporate hopefully something gets done about this before others are taken advantage of. read more

I am not reviewing AT & T but the service I received from Gary, one of the customer service/sales agents at the store on 9/6/21! I was a victim of Sim Swap and had been at my wits end of what to do. I won't go into the utter nonsense and run around from some of the agents over the phone. One Fraud agent recommended I go to an actual store and have a new sim card put in. The store was closing in 40 minutes when I got there and Gary waited on me. He actually CARED about providing good service! He stayed with me on the phone with various agents and fraud people an hour and a half past closing time. I wasn't able to resolve the issue until almost 24 hours and many phone calls later. Beware of Sim Swap Scammers.....if you are in need of AT & T service in Potsdam NY...ask for Gary....he is the best. If I had a business I would hire him immediately! read more

I've been an AT&T customer for a few years now, and have found this store to have mixed service. Sometimes it's been decent, and sometimes they've treated me like they want me to leave AT&T. Very weird. read more

I was surprised to read some negative reviews as my recent experience at this store was stellar. I came in as i had issues with my 2007 Galaxy Note 2, and Potsdam was the nearest ATT store to our summer home. The manager checked everything out, discovered that the phone was picking up roaming towers (Canada), though set not to... and advised I should contest any charges that may turn up for roaming on my next bill. As the issue could not be corrected with new sim card, etc. and I had been planning to replace the phone within the year... he showed me a Galaxy phone in my price range. He was not the least bit pushy...which made me feel free to consider my options. I did purchase with the reassurance i could stop back anytime for help learning the new phone systems... and can call too. He set everything up, transferred my contacts, etc. from the other phone and i was good to go. So, for me, the service could not have been better. read more

Waited for over and hour for a simple SIM card issue while the salesman attempted to sell an aux cable to someone purchasing a new iPhone. It was the most painful experience I've ever had at a retail store in my life. Was told multiple times "it won't be much longer" by the manager who just seemed to float in and out of the back room not actually doing anything. Avoid this store at all costs!!! read more

Why is it I always run into the shittiest customer service? I went to the ATT&T store locally. First of all I did my homework so I knew what I was looking for and what I wanted. I basically wanted to put my hands on the phone itself before I decided. So, armed with facts and a steadfast decision, I spoke to the store manager. HE tried to sell me the most expensive model. When I flat out refused and said cost is a BIG factor to me, he refused to sell me anything. he waved at the display models and said they are over there. I looked to my heart's content, knowing that I would order on line. On my way out, he yelled at me to get the F*** out of his store. I called AT&T right away and lodged a very serious complaint. The rep I spoke to gladly renewed my contract and they are sending me a new phone of my choice at no charge and they are waiving all fees. SO there is a happy ending. from now on I will deal with AT&T online and on the phone. read more
