I went to google to review but now it says permanently closed so I cannot. Not sure if its still open or just closed on google so reviews can't be left. Let's just say total scam. I am a believer of this stuff and actually have a close family psychic that we came across organically via being my moms coworker that has never missed (literally told my mom she sees twins in the future the first day they met and 3 years later my mom had Irish covid twins) . I thought it would be good to try someone local to me out as I have always appreciated spiritual advisors. $400 and a total of 15 min interaction between two visits. I came in originally for the full tarot psychic reading - after 3 mins was told there was block and a 3 day mediation was needed and to come back. I hesitantly agreed as I was new to the area and down bad about life, when I came back she tried to tell me it had nothing to do with me and karmic from something else and in order to get the bad energy away she had to burn a candle for each year of my life and literally pulled a catalogue of spiritual tools. The catch - each candle was $132...she really tried to get me to pay up front $3,168 to take away some energy that has to bs because nothing she said was accurate at all even for being generic. I later came across a review from years ago that had a similar situation but the girl knew better than to fall for it. If she did, I wonder if she would have been told the same bs. Got to give it to her, Carolyn is a professional scammer and can def take advantage of those who are spiritual, if it wasn't for the legit people I have come across in my life I would never believe in it again. Almost called to dispute the charges but realized how silly I would sound to Chase bank saying I saw a psychic and didn't like what I heard lol, avoid at all costs and go find a person who truly is intune and wants to be a service. Do not go to this fraud!! I visit this "psychic" and she was so unprofessional. She was cold and annoyed at me being there and told me a bunch of vague things that did not come true at all. This was a few years ago. That's what these phony psychics do, never give specific answers, make observations and read body language. She told me things about myself that I already knew and not even relevant to what I asked. I came in there because of emotional state I was in. Do not go to a psychic if you feel emotionally vulnerable, go to professional support. Lesson learned. The next day I went to another psychic in Lincoln park who was extraordinary. This reading was very short. I did not get what I wanted out of this reading. She did not give helpful advice. I am late doing this review. I went to Astrology Boutique in July. Prior to going I had be contemplating on going and knew if I went it would have to just be a walk-in. Well one Sunday I remember being in the area and while I worked up the courage to go I just went ahead and parked and carried myself up those stairs. One I rung the doorbell I know I couldn't turn around and walk away. The young lady that gave me my reading was very lovely. She had long dark hair she seemed a though she could've been in her late 20's or early 30's. However, my readings were dead on. Some have come to fruition and maybe two things she has said hasn't come forth as of yet. One I can share was she was able to tell me that my dad was ill without me giving her any information. She also shared some information that my dad battled with regarding his illness. At the time of this reading my father was still in the hospital. I know I did the palm reading and I believe I did one that I was able to answer questions. I would definitely visit her again. I wish I remembered her name. Let me add this was my first time going to an astrologist or psychic. I had always been skeptical but curious at the same time. I will admit, that some of what she said to me was surprisingly accurate, but much of it was very generic, and I was very disappointed. My 2-star review is due to her behavior. My daughter and I scheduled an appointment for Sunday morning, our last fun activity before we headed to the airport for our return flight to Boston. When she answered the door, she was not happy, very grumpy. I have no idea why she was acting like that, but we both felt very uncomfortable. There should be "zero star" option. I bought a groupon for a tarot card reading which cost me $40. The reading normally costs $80. What a waste of money. This lady spent 5 minutes going over my cards. Don't get me wrong - I don't believe in this stuff and I was going more there to have a fun time hearing her out. So I'm not disappointed that everything she ended up saying was wrong. What bothered me is the cliched, bored way she delivered it. Things like "Someone from your past will come in your future" and "I see changes coming your way." Not only was she obviously bored while doing my reading, she tried upselling me like 5 times. "Do you want to purchase an additional palm reading for $25? Perhaps a full future forecast for $50? Or maybe the deluxe reading for $175?" Ok maybe those aren't exactly the names of her "products" but you get my point. After she spent a measly 5 minutes looking as though she'd rather be back in bed (she had her pajamas on. No. Joke. And it was 12 PM so its not like it was early in the morning), she tried upselling me again. No thanks. I thanked her and left. If this lady would have at least made the reading fun (because its obviously all fake) or had spent some more time on the cards and at least looked like she gave a damn, then I would have rated her much higher. Wow! Talk about spot on! I've been here with about 7-8 of my friend over the course of a month or so and she told us all different spot on things about ourselves during our palm readings. This was the worst experience ohmygod. Why. DO NOT spend your money here. What an enormous waste of time. My boyfriend and I stopped by here on a Saturday during the day. She opened the door and looked so mad that we had knocked. She immediately goes "You want a reading?" "Um. Yes." "It's $10 for 2 questions. $20 for a palm reading. $60 for an hour aura reading." We were taken aback. We asked if we could both come in. She didn't like that but said fine. We went in and it's a normal apartment. There were pretzels accidentally dropped around the crystal ball tray and ash trays everywhere. Not great. Horrible. DO NOT GO HERE. FAKE FAKE FAKE. I wasted $50 on a tarot card reading that lasted 10 min. My friends lasted 5 min. How could you charge such an outrageous price?! She told all three of us basically the same thing. She told my friend she will leave her job in the next 6 months but she doesn't have a job she is in school! WHAT A JOKE. I cannot believe I wasted $25 and 4 minutes (yes, my reading only lasted 4 minutes) of my life on this place! Such a waste of money! This lady was so horrible. I wish I could give it a 0 star! I opted for the "palm reading" however she didn't do any reading-she didn't even touch my palms once! She was so vague on everything she said-"you're going to get some money in the next year that will be a comfortable amount for you" (mmmm ok so like $20 or $20,000?!) , "you are stressed out" (isn't everyone just a little?!). Then she was just totally off on other things-she said she had a sense I'd had an abortion-NOPE. Not true at all. But then when I told her that I didn't, she said "Oh I meant to say you are going to." good "save" honey, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. 2 more things that were really annoying about this place: We asked how long each reading took (we were wondering if the others should go to a bar down the street to wait when each other went) and she said she couldn't say because every reading was different. Little did we know we would each be in there for less than 5 minutes, so OF COURSE she didn't want to tell us. Because would anyone want to spend $25 or $50 for 5 minutes? Good move on her part. We totally got scammed by her. When we first got there I asked if we could use a credit card (I saw a little sticker in the window of credit cards so figured we could) and she said yes! When we were finished I handed her my card and said "Oh you have to spend $50 in order to use the card". MMMM WHAT? you had just told me a few minutes before I could use my card and didn't give me any sort of restriction. I'm assuming she wanted me to round up with a tip and use my card. NO way girlfriend. (One of my friends had cash but I wish she hadn't and I would've put up more of a fight) Whew! This "boutique" was the first experience I have had with a psychic. I went with a friend who has been to many different psychics around the country and convinced me to try it. I can't even begin to explain how disappointed I was with this place (as was my friend - afterwards she repeatedly apologized that my first psychic reading was so awful for both of us). I opted for the $50 option - a tarot card reading. The other options were a $10 question and answer (two question limit) and $25 palm reading. The "psychic" told me that the $50 option would provide the most information. Well, this was the biggest and FASTEST waste of $50 I have ever spent. I was in and out of the room in about 6 minutes. She laid some cards out and spouted off very generic information. Nothing she said seemed specific to my life. I asked a couple questions and got very boring answers. Carolyn acted like she'd rather be sitting on the couch instead of talking to me. Turns out, she said the same things to my two friends after me. "You will come into some money in a year" and "You seem to be stressed but want to be happy". I don't understand how she could even know or sense anything about in such a short time. My friend had the palm reading and was in and out in about 3 minutes. She said this was the worst "reading" she'd ever had because it was the shortest, most impersonal, and most generic. What a scam! Oh, and one more thing. Before we started our readings, Carolyn told us that we could pay with credit card. however, at the end she told us that no, we needed to pay cash. What!? I went here with an open mind, not really expecting anything, so I thought it was a fine experience. I had gone here at the recommendation of a friend who got a very true reading. It's a nice family that lives in the boutique, and 3 generations of women have "the gift." My reading was pretty generic, but it was a fun experience and when you go to a place like this I think that's probably what you have to look for. THIS IS A CROCK! WASTE OF MONEY! I bought my mom a palm reading for $25 for Mothers Day, just for fun. We arrived a few minutes early and waited for about 10, after this man peeked his head out, shut the door and then came back and invited us in. Carolyn came down in slippers and a nightgown/robe and looked like she had just rolled out of bed. She sat with my mom for a total of 7 minutes. My mom explained to me later that Carolyn only answered the questions my mom was asking her and the rest of the time she was trying to talk my sweet old mother into paying her $325 for 3 separate meetings with candles that would banish my mothers bad energy. When my mom politely replied that she was only in town for the weekend, Carolyn informed her that they could do the meetings over the phone and that my mom could pay with a credit card.
