Jimmy was awesome! Very helpful, nice, and fast! He faced all the stairs in the apartment many many times to make sure he was getting what we needed done. read more

The worst ISP I have ever dealt with in my life. I can't even begin to detail all of the service issues we've had on top of rate hikes. The equipment was free then they started charging for it out of the blue. The payment was being taken out of checking then they switched to debit card for an additional charge. Cancelling is a nightmare. Not a single customer service rep or retention specialist reads from the same script. The last straw was yet another rate hike. Chat, phone, nothing mattered. The offered to lower the new bill by five dollars for the same poor service, which I was never credited for even once. When I started the cancellation process everything got even worse. Outright lies. I was told I was going to cancel service with my new ISP and continue with them. Even after cancellation they wrote and called two days in a row trying to get me to accept a new deal that was never offered until cancellation. And those offers didn't match from one retention specialist (sickening job title) to the next. Now they're trying to steal another payment from me. I've reported it to my bank. You cannot reach a human being at Astound who will look at what happened and refund the charge. It's as though if they treated a customer well and did the right thing they've been told they would be fired immediately. I supposedly only owe them another $60. Refund or rescind that and leave me alone. No. They are dead set on screwing me at least one final time. The bank is going to issue a new debit card if they try this again next month. Hopefully the bank can handle this for me before it comes to that. read more

DO NOT FALL FOR ASTOUND'S LIES. After making all sorts of promises, they raised our bill slowly each month, hoping we wouldn't notice. Service was spotty at best. They made us jump through all sorts of hoops to cancel. We cancelled on the 2nd of the month, and they billed us for the whole month. We called and asked to just pay for the service we used and they said they couldn't do that and would send our bill to collections. Customer service hung up on us lol. read more

This is the worst internet provider I have ever had, I wish I could negative stars. Not only do they not value loyal customer by hiking your prices up year after year after year, they have failed to spell my name correctly on bills after YEARS of telling them it's spelled wrong. The service itself lags, cuts out completely and will go through spurts of not working. I can't wait to move so that I can SWITCH TO SOMEONE ELSE. Over $100 for shitty internet. DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS UNLESS YOU LITERALLY HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS. read more

Astound will bury their line directly through your sewer line and other utilities. I would 100% recommend avoiding them if you want to prevent property damage that they are unwilling to fix. read more

Astound Broadband Powered by RCN - Here they cross bored a sewer line that they aren't willing to fix. - Telecommunications Near Me - Evansville, Indiana

I have had Astound for a few years & recently moved so it made sense to stick with them. They had to run a temporary line, which was pulled down by the snow plow recently. Being sensitive to the fact that weather played a part in an entire neighborhood outage, I patiently waited but checked in daily to make sure that when the crews got around to my neighborhood, they would remember to rerun my temp line. That was mistake number one. They did in fact NOT restore MY service while they were already out here. I had horrible service from one of the reps named Calista who refused to listen to me that cycling my modem was fruitless. She also refused to contact another department on my behalf which I had asked to happen because I had lost my voice. I can't imagine how she would have treated someone who had disabilities! The 9th was scheduled as an appointment which Astound no call, no showed! Then when I called in the next day they stated they could be out on the 16th. That pretty much was fuel on an already simmering fire and working from home, my internet connection is key. I called sometimes twice a day & stated that if someone could please just reach out & communicate with me, that would go a long way. Each of the dozen or so people I talked to had a different story as to why I wasn't receiving phone calls. They straight up told me my tickets were cancelled by a department that apparently didn't think this was their assignment to fix. At no time did I feel like a valued customer. In fact, over the last 11 days it seems like they did the most to make me cancel my service altogether. That happened today when I called for the last time. I can't imagine why anyone would want Astound's service! Especially when they can't and won't simply show up during scheduled appointments, give courtesy update calls and treat their customers with respect. Do better, Astound! I'm Astounded by how badly you DON'T want to keep customers and I was told I would be receiving a call soon because of the issues. Since I've NEVER received a call from them before, I'm not holding my breath!!! Chose any other service available to you. Do NOT choose Astound! read more
