The lot was open and he was just standing around with a friend so we pulled in. Says to me "leave your keys in the car." I immediately said "no, no valet". The lot was nearly empty, the spot was a head-in spot, and it was literally 10 feet in front of us. Who needs a valet to park their car head-in 10 feet away? Besides, what kind of valet issues a directive for me to leave my keys in my own car without even explaining store policy? So then he says "I'll go get you a ticket." Figured he understood me clearly saying "no" (it was 2 of the 3 words I said to the man) and was going to get me a ticket to validate. So he walks around to my wife who was driving and tries the same thing on her. He said to her "leave your stuff here, give me the keys". She immediately said no and we pulled out of the lot.
