Some nice sea view rooms. The beds aren't very comfortable, but the host is absolutely lovely. Unfortunately the wifi doesn't work in the rooms. Breakfast was filling and tasty. I would definitely stay here again! read more

The five stars that this B&B boasts are truly representative of the experience that my father and I…read morehad here a few weeks ago. Firstly, David was extremely helpful in booking us a tee time at the Ballybunion Golf Course which turned out to be the most enjoyable 18 holes I have ever played. He also gave us great pointers pertaining to the course and various other activities to partake in while in Ballybunion. I would take any golf advice from David after observing his impressive amount of awards displayed in all their glory in the common room of this fine establishment. The house was kept spotless and we both felt very safe and comfortable the whole time. They even include shampoo, conditioner and body gel in the bathrooms that smell exquisite! Not to mention, they make a mean porridge! All in all wonderful B&B to stay in whether you're a golfer or not!
for this very anal traveler and mom to an active 18 month old, this 5 stars means alot! however,…read moredavid and doreen truly deserve it. this place is a gem with exquisite service, impeccable home cooked breakfast, and is spotless. they know how to run a 5 star establishment. the husbands were playing golf at ballybunion so we decided to stay for one night. it then became two because david helped us navigate our way so we could make it to the cliffs of moher before heading to sneem (opposite direction). david gave us detailed directions, made phone calls to change tee times, and even lent us their gps! thank you!!! i am not a b&b / guesthouse type of person as we are starwood platinum members hence we usually stay with the chain. however, this was such a grand experience i would definitely come back. it's been a true highlight during our trip. it was a little hard to manage with our one year old since we had to watch him like a hawk with all the nice decor in the sitting room and dining area but david and doreen were very gracious with him. we stayed in 106 and it was roomy with a walk in closet and shower bathroom. their attention to detail is great with tea kettle and a wine fridge in the room (which we used as a fridge for milk and yogurt). hands down a wonderful place to stay if you are in ballybunion. guaranteed you will not be disappointed, promise!
Great B&B in the heart of Listowel…read more You would be forgiven in the heart of Kerry for wondering aloud 'Why in the name of Jesus, Mary and Joseph and all the Saints in Heaven can I see that womans bare chest?' The Maid of Erin is so called for the large plaster Mother of Ireland which adorns the outside Apparently, a decade or so ago, they attempted to preserve her decency by painting a dress over her chest and were quickly put right. As it is a listed building no such alteration is permitted and so, she is preserved in all her bare-bosomed glory. There is an advantage if you're staying here, when people ask you can just say 'The one with the boobs?' and it clears things up pretty quickly. We stayed here a few weeks ago as we were attending a wedding in the Listowel Arms. 35euro each for a double room and breakfast, not too shabby. The room was clean, comfortable, lockable and had an ensuite with a decent shower. The breakfast was definitely up to scratch (full Irish, aw yeah!) and the Bean an Tí told us it would be available any time after 9:30, with no particular 'end time' which I thought was very nice of her! Overall I'd definitely recommend it for the bed, breakfast and boobs. (I've probably done it a disservice by referring to the plaster bosom so often but really, I found it hilarious!)
We had a wonderful lunch! Very friendly and good cafe food! And reasonable prices. The staff was…read morefriendly and helpful. The food came out pretty fast also! If your heading through, I'd make a stop here if you are hungry!
