Encinitas is really nice so they have a great location! Parking available on the street, womens locker area also has shower and bathroom. The hot yoga class was solid however just way too hot for me as it was at probably 105F and with the humidity, was just too much for me. I used to practice this style a lot when I was in my 20s and 30s but lately I just dont enjoy how hot it gets, and because I sweat profusely, the shift in fluid loss and electrolytes is just too much for me. I usually have a headache after classes like these and thats what happened. I think I could have preemptively assumed this would happen and down a electrolyte pack (which I had on hand) but of course suffer fools gladly haha. Instruction was good and I deeply appreciated being able to practice on xmas! Thank you Yoga Tropics for being open on xmas. Id consider coming back to a less hot class. They also have a great intro offer which is $30 for 10 classes in 1 week, so you really can't beat that! Definitely give this place a try if you enjoy Bikram level hot!

He is knowledgeable and gives clear instructions, making it easy to follow, disconnect, breathe, and fully work your body. He is super positive and just gives off a really great vibe. The brand-new heater makes the room wonderfully sweaty, enhancing the experience. This studio is truly one of the top yoga spots in Encinitas! I highly recommend checking out this studio!

I feel the new Barre3 classes are an improvement to the previous Studio Barre classes for several reasons, even though, like many, I miss some of the old choreo. Barre3 workouts are kinesiology informed and remind me of a physical therapy session. The dynamic stretching and mini breathework at the end are great for my nervous system. This place is great for all ages of women that want a workout that will tone them all over and actually prevent rather than cause injuries. I adore Nora, whose class I took today, and every other person that teaches and works here.

They host a lot of community events outside of just yoga classes (book club, holiday parties, hiking, annual watermelon festival, etc) The owner is such a fun, eccentric baddie who wants to bring people together. It is by far the best deal for unlimited yoga in town. If you're coming from class pass I recommend double checking the class description on the website because I've noticed they don't always match up. I'm not sure if they have an agreement with the gym next door or not (it wasn't advertised if they are at the yoga studio), but the yoga studio itself has no extra amenities, so you will need to bring everything, such as a sweat towel, water and all that. The yoga instruction was great, and the class was full but not crowded. It can comfortably fit about 12 people I would say, so the classes are pretty small. I started with the intermediate vinyasa class, and it was the perfect level. The studio isn't heater, but it isn't cooled either, so it can still be pretty hot. They may heat it later in the year, but in September it was 90 outside, and felt around 80 in the studio, which is just right for me. It can get pretty noisy around the studio. Since it's right in the middle of a popular shopping center, you can hear everything going on around you. During our a class, a band started playing outside which was kind of distracting. The teacher ended up turning off his music so we didn't have two different musics going, and obviously had no control of the outside music. I was able to find parking, but I could definitely see it being an issue in the future. It's in a pretty busy shopping center with a medium sized parking lot. I brought my own mat, but they did have mats, blocks and bolsters you could use. Their fees for membership right now are VERY affordable, but I think it may be an opening offer, so I'm not sure how long they will last. I came here with a Groupon, but probably will not stay after my Groupon period is over. For me, I enjoy a few of the extra amenities that this studio doesn't have.

Pros: I've been going here for a few weeks now, a couple times a week, and I've really enjoyed my classes. I've gotten to try some new stuff, it's not repetitive/formulaic at all, and the instructors are very personable and helpful. I've had one or two cramped classes but for the most part the numbers are manageable - probably about 15-20 people, max? I like the more intimate class sizes! It's also super affordable! I'm here on a Groupon, and for the quality of the class you get it's a good investment. Cons: It's right smack in the middle of everything (there's a grocery store next door as well) so it can get a little noisy outside. It's also a bit limited in terms of both class scheduling (I've had a bit of a struggle finding times that work for me) and space - there's no bathroom, for example, or anywhere to stash your stuff. One other thing I hate to point out is that the studio has that musty, people-have-done-a-lot-of-sweating-in-here smell that whacks you in the face when you first enter. You don't notice it after a couple minutes, once you're all settled in, but you do kind of have to brace yourself when you walk through the door. The gist: It's a cute little studio with some talented teachers, and I love that it's easy biking distance to my house, but I prefer something with a little more space. You can get your groceries and gas up on your way out. Instructors: I have had the pleasure of meeting a few and the staff is super nice and knowledgeable. Studio: There are 2 practice rooms with heat in both and radiate from the ceiling. There are NO fans and every class ends up being hot yoga. So if you are not up for the heat, the owner has not found a sustainable way to keep the treatment rooms a normal temperature below 90s (seriously and literally). Several complaints have been made but not yet resolved. Weights are available for sculpting classes. Sound system is good. I wish they had some singing bowls or some items for a little more classic anchor but the variety of classes are decent. I would say it's geared more towards those that are more advanced and practice several times a week. Studios are clean and tidy. Storage for your belongings are upfront with some cubbies that have locks. There is also a restroom for quick change and showering. Boutique up front, waters for purchase at $4 each. May rental at $4 each. Normal Core Power Yoga app to schedule your attendance or cancel. Online on-demand classes as well. Late cancellation Carrie's changes. Check the app. I'm glad they opened this location. We were needing a closer option in Carlsbad.

This studio has a wood plank looking anti microbial flooring with lines to help line feet up on, small intimate studio, far infrared heating systems with a LUNOS heat system that maintains the heat in the room and exchanges it every 70 seconds with fresh air from outside. This studio is the only one with a LUNOS system in the San Diego area. This heating system has me sweating by the end of the breathing warm up! I stay sweating all the way through posture 26. After the 90 minute class you are handed a lavender scented refrigerated washcloth for your face while relaxing in Savasana...that alone is what sold me on this studio. A new student special of $45 is such a nominal cost for the detail that goes into this studio. If you are new to the Bikram philosophy, this is not like other yoga classes and it is worthwhile to give it a go...if you are familiar with bikram, plan on attention to detail, always Improving your practice and consistency with this studio. Parking is not an issue here. Plenty of parking available, doors are locked during yoga session. No Mindbody online to book...just show up. I am so happy with the results so far by getting back into bikram yoga for mind body reasons. Your focus is only on you in the mirror, no judgements, just trying the best you can for that moment. Come on an empty stomach, bring a yoga mat, a towel, water bottle, and be hydrated. Namaste

With NO mildew and other smells it makes it a real plus to practice there. She has artwork in the entrance making it lovely to enter there, and a window in the classroom for natural light to enter while you practice. Second, I am so grateful to have a studio in Encinitas where they teach the original Bikram sequence of 90 minutes, and not some modified version. Lisa is true to the practice that has helped many people regain their health and well-being. My vitals which have not been normal for years, were perfect in a recent check up. What a testament to how the changes happen on the inside too. The third reason I recommend this studio, is that Lisa encourages us to go at our own pace, and take breaks if needed. Her interests are foremost in everyone's well being. If you aren't having a great day, you can show up anyway. Just get your practice in - tomorrow is another day. She understands and accepts where people are at, and she encourages everyone to do their best, in the meantime promoting the "form" that ensures healthy knees, neck, spine etc. The fourth reason I recommend the studio, is that it is not a place that attracts people who are all about the ego. You can be yourself there, and be somewhat reassured that others there with you are intent upon their own practice and not looking to leave an impression. The fifth reason, is that Lisa provides additional activities for her students from time to time, invites guest instructors, and keeps her business fresh with improvements, incentive challenges, and a warm friendly greeting and smile when you come in. You get the impression that she cares deeply and wants the best for her students. I could go on, but it is probably best that you head on over and try it yourself to see what you think.
