I've experienced complications such as fat necrosis and an ear infection following the procedure. The ear infection was directly related to the permanent suture that was left at the incision site, requiring frequent follow-up visits every 1-2 weeks for removal. These visits were quite painful as no numbing was used. I left the office crying every time. I've had some issues with communication and support from the office. After filing a complaint with the hospital, they recommended that I bring my husband to my next appointment. However, when we arrived, they did not allow him to accompany me into the room. I've never had issues with doctors in the past, but I found Dr. Placik's demeanor with no compassion. Post-op he was extremely rude, mean and dismissive. Based on my experience, I would not recommend him for any procedures and services.

He really took his time examining me and then also showed me a ton of his before and afters. After seeing his work and meeting with him I scheduled my surgery. He's very down to earth and makes you feel very comfortable. The nurse that was in my consultation was super sweet also. I went for my surgery yesterday and met with a different nurse who was INCREDIBLE! So sweet and really too her time explaining all my meds and how to care for my body after the surgery. I am amazed by Doctor Placiks professionalism but also his funny character. He did a TT on me and the results are phenomenal already after day 2! If you're looking for an amazing doctor with skill I highly recommend Dr. Placik and his team. Also Angelica- the scheduling coordinator is sweet as pie!

I've heard that mammograms are excruciatingly painful. And, sitting around in that stupid hospital-issue gown (with black socks!) doesn't do much for your dignity. But let me tell you -- the technicians put me at ease right away. Very friendly and explained the procedure step-by-step. The breast compression, while not comfortable, proved not to be the torture I'd imagined. The tech went slowly, and said she'd stop if it got too painful for me. (Staffers even entertained my infant outside, since she wasn't allowed in the room) When the x-rays came back inconclusive, they called right away and asked me to come back ASAP. I started to freak out, but the woman explained that a lot of women have dense tissue that requires a closer look for the first mammogram. Thankfully, I got a clean bill of health. My next appt. is in a couple of weeks. Now for the public service announcement: ladies, go get yourself checked out. You don't have to come here, just go. It's not something to dread. The discomfort is momentary and in the big picture, this could well save your life.

There have really been no changes to their lab. You can walk in with lab orders and they will take you in the order of check-in time. Their phlebotomists are good, and results come in quickly. As for the ER, they seem to have a lower staffing level. I think part of this is I heard they are no longer a trauma center. If that is the case, I understand their reduction in staff. As with most ERs, wait times can be outrageous. I brought someone in who was in terrible pain - 10 out of 10 on their scale. How much pain you are in doesn't seem to matter in their triage. We waited a very long time before we were finally taken back. Once in an ER room, the service was outstanding. The quality of the nurses and the ER doctor were top notch. When we left, the medical issue was resolved, and although it is cliche, we had service with a smile. Aside from the wait time in the ER, Endeavor seems to have kept the quality of care up to par.

Two different people (one's name was Julie) lied to me and told me that it was free to get a copy sent directly to another doctor. Julie put me on hold and then "checked with her office manager" and told me that, since I didn't get a direct referral to another doctor from them, that they would still charge the $25 to get a copy of the records. Bottom line is: these people are impossible to deal with. They dig in their heels, and refuse to provide a simple service to their customers. You're better off finding a doctor's office who appreciates their patients, and doesn't nickel and dime them. On another note, Alan Loren will spend as little time with you as possible, and rushes to get you out of the office. I visited them with some specific concerns several weeks after having a procedure done, and he told me just to come back in two weeks, if it was still an issue. I wouldn't have come there if I didn't have an issue, so they essentially wasted two hours of my time.

I was rushed into critical care and received 6 pints of blood. Over the course of the next 6 weeks in the hospital I developed pneumonia, a blood clot in my left leg. Also my stomach was so distended with blood and puss I looked like I was 6 months pregnant. My intestines stopped working and my stomach had to be pumped from the accumulating bile and decomposing food. I was at the brink of death on several occasions. The entire time the surgeon insisted I did not have a perforated bowel. He discharged me after 6 weeks, week, swollen and still in tremendous pain. 48 house later I was readmitted in an emergency condition as a cat scan showed 3 large internal absesses. I was given a pic line surgery to administer massive doses of antibiotics and a surgery to implant a drain tube through my right pelvic bone. Again I questioned this surgeon, do I have a hole in my colon. He denied it. Several days into my second stay around Xmas 2010, an infectious disease doctor proved I had indeed a hole which had not closed and was emptying contents of my bowel into my pelvic cavity. This had caused the assesses to form. The surgeon visited me the next day and I confronted him with this by saying why did u deny I had a hole in my bowel. Your incompetency almost killed me and I have suffered excruciating pain for weeks on end He smirked and said well u have a drain now and are on antibiotics the hole (fistula) should close on its own. Then he walked out of the room. On January 2 I was back in surgery, this time at Lutheran General. Dr. Prasad, professor of colon and rectal surgery told me in his 35 years of practice he has never seen a fistula of this type close on its own past 6 weeks post surgery. Because of the botched surgery In November 2010, I endured 3 more surgeries in2011. The first was for a temporary colostomy, the second to redo the bowel and the third and final in June of 2011. I don't see this surgeon practicing with this group at this time. I tried to sue for malpractice but was unsuccessful The reason they gave me was the doctor followed standard protocol. If that is the case, standard protocol almost took my life. It took a fine surgeon to approach my condition with specialized treatment that saved my life.

After three surgeries from two doctors in this group, I'm fully qualified to review their practice…read more My first surgery was by Dr. Tingle, who repaired a torn (shredded) rotator cuff. I saw several other orthopedic doctors over the years who misdiagnosed the problem. Rehab only made it worse. When I was referred to Dr. Tingle, he did a CAT Scan and saw a small tear. We scheduled the surgery, and he found the tendon had completely torn off the shoulder. Their surgeries are done in the Outpatient Surgical Center at Northwest Community Hospital. The recovery from this kind of surgery is long and painful. It's been over seven years, and I almost have full motion back to that arm. In fairness, I was very flexible, so I have better than 100% of a normal range of motion, but I can't quite reach where I used to be. I started having problems with my feet a couple of years ago. Bunions were growing on both feet. They were tolerable until they were not. Dr. Abraham works on feet, and I saw him at the beginning of 2022. I had surgery on my left foot in March. He warned me that the big toe was very arthritic, and he wasn't sure how much ligament was left. If it was bad, he said he might need to fuse the toe. If not, he would ease arthritis and correct the bunion. He suggested that if he felt the fusion was needed during the surgery, he would stop so we could discuss it. I did not want two surgeries on the same foot, so I told him to fuse it if it had to be fused. That's what happened. After I had two days of pain, then another. Six weeks in a boot with the ability to start driving again in two weeks was amazing. Two weeks after not using the boot, I went on an active trip to Ireland, which involved walking, hiking, claiming, and bicycling. and more. Aside from some expected swelling, I had no pain. It was great. When we returned, we scheduled the right foot in October. This was my dominant foot and my driving foot, so this would be personally problematic. The surgery went very well, and fusion wasn't needed. This time, a full eight weeks in the boot, plus two more just in case. I was able to drive at six weeks, What I find best about this practice are two things: (1) everyone on their staff is nice, attentive, and caring - from the front desk staff to the nurses and doctors, and even billing. (2) Their aftercare is second to none. Both Doctors always had time to talk, to see me if needed, and to ensure we had appointments scheduled until I would be released. While I hope I'll never have to revisit them, it is only since I hope I never need orthopedic surgery again. After a lifetime of activity and osteoarthritis, I'll likely return. After being released this morning, I learned that Dr. Abraham is retiring. He's giving up his practice to work full-time at the VA Hospital. What a mensch!
