I finally got an answer from the Chase bank on Cobb Parkway, who did what this bank couldn't - look up the answer. The latest: Hubby dropped by to get an annuity form signed for Western & Southern to have funds deposited directly to our Chase account. After 30 minutes of back and forth, the bank staff told him they couldn't sign the form. He wasn't trying to take money out. It's a required form from Western & Southern to deposit money into the bank. They didn't bother to do the easy thing, call Western & Southern and check that this was a legitimate form. When we're in Cali part time, the Chase bank representative always signs the form. The staff clearly doesn't understand required annuity-for-deposit forms. If laziness is a trait for hire at this particular bank, the staff has it in spades. If it wasn't for the other two Chase Banks being top notch, hubby would have changed to a different bank by now.

They had the lowest rates, no loan processing fee nor other junk fees, no pre payment penalty and no long drawn out time consuming process to become a member and get the loan. The loan officer who helped me was Ms. Ericka, and she was awesome! She was extremely responsive to my needs to get my loan done as soon as possible. Her quick ability to get back with me first thing Monday morning, her thorough explanation of the process, her consistent timely communication every step of the way, her excellent customer service and professionalism made something I dread doing every 10+ years or so (because I don't like debt:-( made the experience pleasant. Additionally, the recipient of the funds specifically requested that we complete the transfer in person at the bank to avoid any delays. Unfortunately, the employee who initially assisted us was extremely rude, condescending, and unhelpful. She repeatedly told us that we could complete the transfer through the app, even after we explained several times that we had been instructed to come into the branch. Despite our explanation, she continued to repeat the same information as though we did not understand. It was only after I asked whether we should go to another branch that she reluctantly agreed to assist us. The interaction was so unpleasant that my mother seriously considered moving all of her accounts to another bank after the transfer was completed. The one bright spot in this experience was Jose. When we returned, Jose assisted us and completely changed our impression of the branch. He was patient, professional, respectful, and genuinely eager to help. Not only did he assist with the wire transfer, but he also helped my mother with additional needs, including obtaining a replacement card. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled properly. Because of Jose's exceptional customer service, my mother has decided to return for additional services, including discussing investment options. Quite honestly, Jose is the primary reason we are continuing our relationship with Bank of America. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but the contrast between the service we received from the first employee and the service we received from Jose was remarkable.
