Most importantly, the teachers take excellent care of my child--always nurturing and attentive--which gives me peace of mind every day. The director, Stephanie, always keeps us updated about center news and holidays, and the KinderCare app is a great way to stay connected throughout the day. In the morning, I'd be waiting for the "opening staff" to get there because they were ALWAYS late (clearly the before school cleaning they advertise is untrue). They defrosted breastmilk despite there being multiple freshly pumped bottles in the fridge and did not understand the issue or that it goes bad after 24 hrs non frozen. They did not feed my child throughout the day (sent home multiple bottles even though I sent just enough for the day) and rarely changed my infant's diaper to the point that she had such a bad yeast infection that her diaper area was sloughing off and bloody. Administration turnover is extremely high- from when I left mid summer til January when I needed a childcare tax form, they had already been through multiple directors. I do not recommend this establishment for anyone to entrust their children, especially not infants who cannot advocate for themselves or tell us what is going on. Stay far away!!!

I don't know what's happened since May of 2015, but we will never allow our son to go back to this day care facility. Our son was four years old, had a speech latency, and on the tail end of potty training when he began going to the after school care program at this Discovery Point. All of his clothing, extra shoes, extra pull ups, and baby wipes were lost every single time he had an accident. We couldn't understand why he'd come home covered in dirt and mud, and have accidents every day. His demeanor had changed completely, and instead of being excited about school the next day he actually seemed sad, which is not like him. After questioning the staff on several occasions we realized that they weren't encouraging him to use the bathroom when he got off the bus after school, and they were keeping all of his belongings either under the front desk, or in the back of a closet where the teachers couldn't find them. After arriving one day early to pick him up I found him playing in the dirt on the playground while the other children played nearby on the play equipment. I asked him why he wasn't playing with the other children and didn't have to wait long before the other children informed me that he is not allowed to play on the playground, so they'd push him away. The teacher watching this group of 5 years and up confirmed this, had instructed the children to keep him off the equipment, and informed my husband and I that the teacher with the four year old class was over capacity so he was placed with the older children. My four year old son has a speech latency, and could not verbalize what he liked or disliked, let alone verbally defend himself, or tell us what was happening. We removed him after three months; in November and have yet to find any of the clothing or other supplies that we provided for him when we originally registered him. I have never seen Any Discovery Point run like this. We definitely noticed turn over in that three month period. I truly hope that no other child has to go through what our son did.

It seems there are lots of staff who have been there for a long time. I really appreciate the caring culture of the preschool. The daycare is clean, organized, fun, and feels intimate (even though they have a lot of kids). My son has been in the infant classroom for 8 months. He started when he was 2 months old, and after meeting his teachers, Miss Jamie and Miss Hamida (who has also worked at Today's Kids for 18 years!), I was not nervous at all. The classroom is bright, spacious, safe, and homey. My baby has fun and his teachers are so loving. They have always been supportive of any specific feeding/sleeping/tummy-time schedule. The infant classroom has a maximum of 6 babies at any one time, so I found it to be a lot calmer than other daycare centers where the classroom had a maximum of 12-16 (albeit with more teachers). Drop-offs and Pick-ups are smooth and efficient. The entrance requires a key code to unlock the door, and a password-protected computer application is used to check in/out the child, and it is so easy. It takes about 10 seconds or less. The driveway has a loading zone, which is also super convenient. The front desk is always attended, and the people sitting at the desk know every family, so they call over to each classroom to request the teachers to start getting each child ready to go. For my baby, this usually means Miss Jamie will pack his bag with his bottles and his daily chart and give him one last diaper change.
