I happened on Aspiring Minds Scotland through a voucher deal, I purchased a voucher for a Sports massage and as I have been pretty stressed lately at work and with life in general I was really looking forward to this.
Although AMS is in Clydebank it is really easy to get to, I arrived a little early as I thought there would be a health questionaire, and I was correct.
AMS is situated in a Comunity Centre and the Receptionist was very welcoming and let them know I had arrived.
Angela Carrick is the sole practioner and owner she came down stairs to meet me and take me up to her studio.
It is very well furnished and cosy and I felt relaxed and I had only crossed the threshold.
Angela immediately made me feel at home by offering me some water and giving me the questionare to complete whilst I was doing this she chatted and explained ethos, she asked about me and about my health in general both physical and mental.
I got undressed and lay on the couch which was very comfortable with paper roll and soft fluffy towels to cover me, Angela explained how she liked to work and I should let her know if I felt that her pressure was to strong.
Wow I had not realised how tight my muscles were, Angela told my I was wearing my shoulders as Earrings, she worked tirelessly from my waist down I have recently been diagnosed with Osteoarthitis in my right knee she explained that all the muscles in this leg were ceased up and at times I did have to take a deep breath, then waist up oh my goodness it was superb I cannot believe how relaxing it could be, to be pummeled so vigorously.
As if the massage was not great value Angela was very caring and we spoke at some length over the reasons why I felt stressed, she is very easy to talk to and empathetic.
I have booked to go back in two weeks. At Aspiring Minds Scotland, Angela offers various Holistic Therapies, Hypnotherapy,NLP and various Workshops read more
