    Ronnie Wright Concrete

My husband and I are extremely impressed with the professionalism and work ethic of Ronnie Wright…read moreConcrete. Ron really took time to explain every aspect of extending our driveway and adding a sidewalk onto the side of our home. This included a thoughtful discussion on water management and drainage. From quote to concrete pour, the job was accomplished in a remarkable four days. There were several changes that we discussed with Ron throughout the course the project. Ron always showed enthusiasm about helping us achieve exactly what we wanted. My husband and I came up with several fitting slogans: 1. He's the Wright man for the job. 2. Ron will take care of your concrete needs the Wright way. 3. He's got the Wright stuff, baby. 4. You can't go wrong with Wright. 5. Concrete issues? Ron will make everything Wright. With fair prices, remarkably quick turn around time, and dependable service, Ronnie Wright Concrete was a joy to work with. We will definitely work with Ron again in the future.

Ronnie has low prices but that's the end of the good news. He took 34 days to do my 18x20 driveway…read moreand a 16x22 slab. I hired him to do my 12x34 patio slab and it went well so I hired him for a bigger project a few days later. Each day he showed up he was asking for another 4, 5, or 6 grand. He was at the 90% mark of the $32K quote and still hadn't done the driveway yet. The dumpster company that he contracted to put the old concrete in called me and said they were putting a lien on my house because he refused to pay them after they'd hounded him. I wonder if he ever paid for the concrete delivery or will I have an additional $4,000 lien to deal with? I told him about the lien and he assured me he was taking care of it. Nope. The dumpster company thinks I'm giving them the run around, still demanding $400 on top of my incomplete job that I now have to pay someone else thousands to finish. In 29 days he was at my house just 7 days and never more than about 5 hours per trip. He removed the driveway and framed it out but then I waited weeks for the concrete. He constantly had 'relatives' with emergencies (some out of town) that required him to vanish for days on end, always right after I gave him another $5K. He's fine for small jobs but don't do anything over 12x30 or you'll be hearing the stories. The dumpster driver sent me a text where he told the dumpster company he was so broke he could only put down 3 to 4 inches of concrete instead of the 6 inches he said he was putting down. He told me several times "they all crack, just get used to it". I should have checked the BBB site for complaints because there were several. All the BBB complaints read the same: incomplete or improper jobs that he refuses to correct or refund. After seeing all the complaints here and elsewhere I doubt I'll get my $6,000 back for the work he didn't do even if I take him to court. Serial scam artist, apparently the concrete guys are not required to be licensed or bonded so there's no recourse to get satisfaction with the county/city/state and they know it. I tipped each member of his crew any time they actually worked more than a couple hours and even bought all 10 of them lunch. Can't believe this guy is still in business, he showed up late the last day when I told him not to come back that someone else was doing the rest of the job and he said "I sure wish you would've told me that before I bought this $200 worth of supplies", as if I had put him in a bad financial way somehow. That showed me he still had no awareness or understanding of how bad the situation was at all. 12 sunny cloud free days in that span without anyone showing up at all, no answer to calls or texts or explanation as to why they didn't show. Buyer beware.

Thief...AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Johnny will take your money for a job and then you will never hear…read morefrom him again. Poor work ethic, poor work quality. He Poured a concrete parking slab for my father which was supposed to take two days, but took nearly two weeks, and he left a broken down backhoe in his front yard for nearly two weeks which really pissed off the neighbors. He was also paid an additional $100 to poor a small 4'x4'x4" pad in my backyard with the leftover concrete from my father's job. He happily took the money, then disappeared. My father called him every few days for about 6 weeks to get him to finish the job...every time he stated that he would be over the next day. I finally got his number from my father and have been calling him 3 times a day for 3 days. He answered the first call, promised to be here the next morning, and asked me to call him in the morning to ensure he got up and around to do the job. He hasn't answered my calls since. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I hate writing negative reviews but I've made every effort to fix this issue without satisfaction…read more I needed a slab poured for a 12x20 metal building. The only thing I asked was it was level and tied to the existing slab with anchors. The concrete is 4" off of level from a 12' run, 4" off! It blows my mind to say it. In other words if you place a 4' level on the slab you have to raise one end 4" above the slab for it to be level. I contacted Johnny repeatedly, he says he came and looked at the job and would fix the issue with self leveling concrete but after 3 months has yet to return or fix the issues. Do yourself a favor and find someone else!
