SLOBS!!!! I would give them zero stars if I could. Horrible job, no respect for my property. They dropped branches into my hedge and would have left them there if I hadn't shown them--I mean BIG branches, 8 feet long. They should have seen those! They walked all over my gardens, destroying some of the plants. When I told them to get out of my gardens and I would pick up what was there, they went right back in! They guy in charge said to contact the company and they would pay for the plants I will have to replace. Probably a lie. read more

Amazing job! I have 2, 30-40 ft spruces that were encroaching on my patio and getting out of control. These amazing guys came and took about 5 ft off the bottom of both tress, trimming it around and making them look better than I ever could imagine. Aspen did a large job on our property in July 2021, and they were excellent in every respect. They came out promptly to give us a quote. Their quote was totally reasonable for a full day job that involved cutting down and removing 7 large trees and 2 small ones (with stump grinding for 4 that were between the sidewalk and street, thus preventing a tripping hazard near the sidewalk) in addition to pruning several large Japanese Sawara trees, one very large Magnolia and two large spruce/pines. The crew and foreman were skilled and friendly, professional and polite. When they were done, they made sure to clean up completely. So: A+ for the tree work itself. The front office was also excellent. They promptly emailed me a professional contract (meaning: itemized and complete), and they responded immediately to my request for their Proof of Insurance documentation. I mention these Front Office things because not every tree company does them, even if they may do good tree work, and it's nice to have everything totally clear and written down. Prevents hassles and disagreements afterward. At the signing of the contract, Aspen gave me an accurate wait time based on how busy they were. Five stars for Aspen Tree Expert Co. Great team and service, I used them for tree trimming and removal and plan on using them going forward. The team did a great job and thought their pricing was reasonable. The front office was easy to deal with and enjoyed speaking to the owners. In a town where the prices are high and the quality can be really low, Aspen Arborist is the opposite. I started using Aspen Tree Service after having another tree service come and literally hack my trees :/ I was devastated. We had just bought our first house. Every time there was rain or wind, our backyard looked like there had been a hurricane. We have a large sweetgum tree and it needed some dead upper branches cleaned up, our magnolia and sugar maple had girdled roots and were dying, and aphids were consuming our plum tree. Aspen came and cleaned up our trees and suggested using a stronger sprayer setting on our hose to kill the very fragile aphids without pesticides. We prefer to avoid chemicals whenever possible. Aspen did air-spading and cut the girdled roots saving those trees and also does injection fertilizing to our magnolia which really needed some extra tlc. We then had Aspen come out to remove a weeping willow that was planted right next to our pool and pond. They came and, as always, were professional, detailed and cleaned everything up perfectly. The summer of 2021 we lost another tree to tent caterpillars and neglect. It was yet another one we inherited and Aspen came out and removed it as well as ground the stump down so that you can't even tell that there had been a big dead tree there. Since then we have enlisted Aspen for their ORGANIC LAWN SERVICE and for the past 2 years our lawn has looked more and more magnificent, greener and more lush. Our tech, Jay, always notifies us in advance that he is coming out and is super responsive to our questions and needs. They also treat the lawn for fungus which used to kill large circles of grass over the summers. Chris has given me recommendations to help with care of my trees also! I can't even express how absolutely delighted we are with all of the incredible care we have received from Aspen Tree & Turf Experts. Aspen did an excellent job pruning our willow. The tree had a lot of dead wood, which they removed and nicely shaped the tree. The cleanup was excellent. I would do business with them again. read more

Had a difficult and dangerous monster tree threatening our home after a recent storm. We called and got 6 different prices which were all over the place. I expected Aspen to be expensive but their price was both fair and reasonable. The crew was professional and listened carefully to what we needed done. The equipment from the chain saws to the bucket was top notch. They wore all the right safety gear. Insurance made us feel safe. They also did some pruning with the bucket truck on trees that came out beautiful. The trees needed a haircut and look great now. I can't say enough about the 3 men who did a super job. I had two trees taken down and 6 trees trimmed. The trees that I had trimmed were very tall and some not accessible with the bucket truck. Not a problem to them they used a climber. They had all the right machinery to do the job correctly. The trees looked great and are much safer. They even had a discussion about a tree that needed to be carefully watched for future problems. The 4 man crew were polite and very professional. My property was left very clean. The price quoted was the final price. Very reasonably priced project. We hired Aspen to take down a tree for which we paid over $900. That was an acceptable amount considering the size of the tree. But when they were done, they left a sizable mound of wood chips. Upon placing a call, they said that it will settle into the ground, but would come back to take a look at it. We gave it a few weeks and numerous rain storms and of course it never settled and of course they never came to look at it. We made eight trips to the recycling center in as many buckets as we could find to remove them. Upon removal of the wood chips, we discovered a secondary stump sticking out of the ground which we tried to remove ourselves. We hacked at it and broke our chain saw trying to remove it. So we made another call to see if they would finish the job. I was told we would get a call back and of course we never did. read more

I'm 100% pleased with the tree trimming work done today by Aspen. They raised, thinned and trimmed a huge Bradford pear tree next to my house. The trimmer was an "artist" in his approach to cutting and trimming. It looks amazing. Their price was very competitive too. They cleaned up all the debris so it looks like they were never there. I called one of their "tree experts" because some of my fir trees started dying. He came out, charged me $50 to do so and told me the trees had winter damage and would be fine. It turns out my trees have a fungus that has to be treated or they will die. I do not recommend them for diagnosing problems with trees. read more

called aspen on Mon sept 19, s/w Dave to have someone come by and give me an est for tree work. by Fri sept 23, nobody called so I called Dave and he said yea Rob has my info. that afternoon rob shows up, I show him what needs to be done,we agree on a price, has me write my email on the back of some piece of paper, and says they will send me a est/bill. it is now 1 week later, no call,no email, no nothing. would you use this company? this was just my experience. I'm sure they do good work. good luck getting them. read more
