Dr. Chris, Dr. Joseph, Dental Assistant Lani and Lead Lab Tech Ann and the rest of the staff are fantastic and very professional. A special shout out to Ann, her work is truly a work of art my teeth look so good that no one and I mean no one can tell where my real teeth end and the partial denture begins. After breaking a bridge that was in place on the upper left side of my mouth for 30 years, I was very afraid. I had to find a new dentist because my old dentist had retired and I no longer had dental insurance. So I called around and priced several dentists in the area and I am sorry to say I use price and cleanliness as my determining factors. I am so happy that I did! The staff is fantastic and the offices are are clean. Dr. Chris is a master of the partial, making them fit comfortably, securely, beautifully and what a great personality. Dr. Joseph is always there with his sweet smile and his knowledge of exactly what you need to make your visit safe and make the necessary adjustments so you can eat and smile with ease. Lani helps you feel comfortable right from the start and throughout the whole process, which in my case was a bit complicated. But Ann is the star of the show with her wonderful creative work. Who knew that making teeth look beautiful was such an art. I must also mention Amanda who got the whole thing started when I walked in without an appointment and she took the time to talk with me and figure out how much it all would cost with my dental plan which is not insurance. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I waiting forever. The front staff is rude and not helpful at all. The doctor proceed to tell me I needed 3 crowns and when I told him to take another look because there was no way he was like yeah just 3 fillings. The day of my fillings comes and he couldn't get me numb after 6 lidocaine injections. I told him how much it hurt and cold sensitive it was to the point I was crying. He brushed it off to my anxiety. This was almost a month ago and the company has not fixed my tooth despite going back the next day. The dentist has no idea what he is doing. First visit to Aspen Dental, York Pa. location over charged me by $500.00. I had to fight to get the refund. Arrived for my appointment on 11/11/2025 for my cleaning appointment. I explained that I wanted the standard cleaning that is covered 100% by my insurance. I was told at the front desk that I was not allowed to step down on the cleaning once I had the more extensive cleaning. The gentleman that answers their phone is so lacking in customer service. I called the office as I didn't get any type of confirmation from their office about my appts for myself and my son. There was no type of apology that all our family's information had been kicked out of their system and none of our records could be requested to be sent over from their corporate office. I won't be back to this location. I was treated like I was the crazy one that called them to confirm my appointment instead of them not being able to call their patients to inform them of the issue. I could not have been the first one to have called about this issue but rather than be contrite, the rude treatment was the response instead. I just moved here and was looking for a new dentist to give me my periodontal cleanings as I get these every 3 months and have for the last 10 years . Before moving here my last dentist informed me it was time to see the specialist again because my periodontal pockets were getting deep again . Trying to find a new dentist near me who has appointments open has been a challenge but Aspen said they had availability and could do my pero cleanings . They insisted I had e rays and a exam so I just had to go through it despite already having that done about 12 week prior at my previous dentist . The dentist came in and looked in my mouth for about 3 seconds without even using any of the tools that were laid out . She then points to the e rays and informs me about the deep pockets which I knew about and I asked for the referral to the specialist and she sold me on a deep cleaning to get me through until I could see them. She then informs me that I need 2 root canals on my front up teeth which stunned me because I have had zero pain or indications of a problem and had just had my annual exam a few weeks ago at my trusted previous dentist. I decide to not get those done until I see the specialist since I could lose those other teeth from the deep pockets and bone loss in which time it might be better to just save the money for implant surgery . I get the deep cleaning done while I am there and as a person who has had many of these cleaning I suspect that they only gave me a regular cleaning but I can't prove it of course . I go to the specialist a few weeks later and they do their own xrays and make a plan to do Lanap on my periodontal problems and so while the specialist is looking at my e rays I ask " besides the deep pocket all of my teeth are healthy and well " ? He tells me that all my teeth are great and cavity free and my only issues are the bone loss . Just as I suspected I do not need 2 root canals on my front teeth so I am quite displeased that Aspen dental are willing to ruin peoples healthy teeth to make a profit . I feel sorry for people who may not go to the dentist as often as I do and who fall victim to these scam type crooks who disguise themselves as professional care givers . Horrible! Stay away! This place should be closed and the "Lead" Dentist should lose her license. Tooth had broken off with gums bleeding on one side, other side bad tooth pain also. Suppose to be a "Urgent" care office What a joke! Took xrays and was told the broken tooth had to be extracted and the other side needed a root canal. Was told the Lead Dentist would call in some pain meds. this was at 3:30, Never called in any meds that day had plenty of time. Closed at 8. Suffered terribly! This place needs some lessons on customer service! The ladies who answer the phones, very rude and unhelpful. My fiancee has been calling everyday for 2 weeks after he got his checkup done, to schedule an appointment to get 2 teeth pulled that have been hurting him everyday. He got told everyday that someone would call him back to schedule that appointment. 2 weeks have gone by still nothing, I called today and the lady who answered, right away was very rude. I was trying to explain to her how he's been in pain and still hasn't gotten a call and it's been 2 weeks. She started getting all loud and tells me she's just a nurse and she can't do anything about that. Along with other comments. She said she was just filling in there today so it's not her fault. Even if your just a fill in it's called respect for the people who use your service and pay for you to get a check. She told me well look how your talking to me, excuse me? What should i be kissing her butt when she's being rude no other way around, which I was not rude until she started getting snappy with everything I said. You ask for a print out of benefits and they lead you to believe your insurance covers the bare minimum. When it's a lie. Told me my son root canal would cost over 6k after the insurance. Naturally I called them, gave them all the codes provided to me by ASPEN and it was a lie. It wouldn't even cost more than $600. What's worse is the "billing" guy knew this and still wanted me to set up a payment plan. I asked for a pre determination of benefits and they didn't want to do it (because it meant they would actually have to contact the insurance) bottom line Is they want you to pay the total upfront and then when the insurance pays out they want to give you a credit on your account. The waiting area was pleasant however the bathroom was dirty with a dripping soap dispenser and trash in the floor. The treatment rooms had gouges on the walls and leaking ceilings. They had tried to force the new bottom dentures on me but I stopped them due to severe pain as they were cutting into my gums but the Dr kept insisting I let him put them on! I have a tooth that needs extracted. I have a good dentist, and he made a referral for an oral surgeon. After making a tons of calls to reputable surgeons, I couldn't get in anywhere. So even tho I've had great dental care my whole life, I gave Aspen a call. The lady on the phone was sympathetic and I really thought I was going to get the treatment I needed. I was even scheduled for the next day, as all the other places were booked through at least 3 months. So I made the trek from Elizabethtown to York. I arrived 15 minutes early, as instructed. My appointment was at 3:15, I was there at 3:00. When I filled out appropriate paperwork and gave them my insurance. And I waited. And waited. It was about 4:15 when I went up and asked if they were really running behind and the young lady told me they were, in fact, short staffed. Ok. I get it, but a heads up would have been nice. So I waited a little more and was finally called back. Mind you, I see a GREAT dentist- and he's been awesome w X-rays and I have a treatment plan. They pushed me in this little room to do even MORE X-rays- I asked how necessary this was??? She told me it's Aspens policy to take the films so the dentist had a solid baseline. My dentist had already sent them my films. Why waste even more time and money- whatever, I cooperated. It wasn't till I got back to the exam room that I became angry. It was dirty, the chair itself was falling apart and I had complete information from the patient in the next room- (HIPAA?) The dentist FINALLy came in. It was 5:15 now. I was done waiting at this point. She explains to me what is all wrong with my teeth. I KNOW what is wrong w my teeth because I do see a dentist regularly. I just want a silly tooth pulled! Then she proceeded to tell me they won't treat my tooth today, but will get me a referral for an oral surgeon. WHAT?'??!!!! I ripped the referral up and told them to get bent. That was THE biggest racket! Aspen Dental is nothing but a ghetto dentist looking to make an extra buck. Waited 45 minutes before asking why we weren't being seen. The receptionist told us the dentist was "mid procedure" and that they were running behind. A few more people went in ahead of us. At this point they were an hour behind schedule. The receptionist assured us we were next, and a few more people went back. When asked a 3rd time, the receptionist admitted that the dentist came in an hour late, and instead of calling and rescheduling people they just pushed everyone's in time back by an hour. Stay away from the dentist office. This place is the absolutely worst dentist I have ever been to in my life. I scheduled a simply dental cleaning online. I arrived for the appointment at 2:00 pm. I sat in the waiting room for a hour and the lady then handed me a clip board to fill out. I am like are you kidding me. The lady seen me when I walked in and never acknowledge me and proceeded to joke and play on the phone. Then finally 90 minutes later, some lady bought me back to the room to take x-rays. I said x-rays for what, I already had x-rays and refused to take them. The lady then walked me to the exam room and I waited for the doctor another 30 minutes and he walked in and really was not a nice person at all. He told me to open my mouth and close my mouth and then walked away. Then the lady said okay you can follow me and she said we going schedule you for your cleaning. I am like are you kidding me, I have spend a total of 2 1/2 hours here for nothing??? The lady said the visit was to establish dental care. I said to established dental care. I set the appointment online for a simple dental cleaning. If this place can not handle a simple dental cleaning I would not trust them something more complicated. The women that work at the front desk are totally unprofessional and really rude. My mistake was that I did not read the reviews which concur with my experience. Stay away from this place. Worst dental experience ever. I received their number from my insurance company. I called in advance stating that I needed a cleaning. They scheduled me for an appointment. Upon arriving, they took xrays. Then they had me sit in the back. The dentist came and looked in my mouth for about 1 minute and said everything was ok. Then he left. After waiting 25 minutes they came back and pulled me to the front desk to schedule a cleaning saying "we do "comprehensive" exams first. This is an issue as I had scheduled time from work for this as well as cancelled another appointment and I would not be available. I would be cautious about going here. During my visit today I experienced something called mandibular block - this is something that can happen when teeth in the mandible are numbed. (It goes away after a while) When the Dr. ( I don't even know his name because he didn't introduce himself) was injecting I felt a sharp pain and immediately felt numbness in my eye followed by blurry vision. I asked him to stop and expressed the numbness and blurry vision in my eye. He proceeded to tell me that I was NOT feeling that. I work in medicine and was shocked at how my feelings weren't acknowledged. And even then said that "blood flow in the face doesn't work like that" And then he just left the room without a word.... I sat there with my eye numb scared. As someone who works in medicine I have EXTENSIVELY studied anatomy I am well aware that there are dozens of nerves in the face specifically cranial nerves 5 and 7 that branch to the eye and go through the mandible. If he had just taken a moment to explain what a mandibular block was I would not have been so anxious. He came back didn't ask me how I was and then as soon as he was done he just said "you did good" and left the room. Did not ask me if I had any questions or concerns and didn't even offer to show me what the fillings looked like before he left. I had to ask the dental assistant before I left. This terrible experience could have been avoided with some common decency and professionalism. I miss my old dentist-that took the time to explain procedures and SAFETY RISKS as he was working keeping my comfort and safety in mind. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for 6:45 pm at Aspen Dental and had this appointment scheduled since my last cleaning 6 months ago. I arrived 5 minutes early and approximately 20 minutes after my scheduled time (7:05 pm) I was informed by the receptionist that the doctors are running so far behind that I NEEDED to reschedule. It's now my understanding that this location only has one set of cleaning tools and the wait would simply be too long until they were available. the only time slots that work for my schedule is later in the evening. The receptionist then informed me that the next time slot that would be available for me would be some time in March. A two month additional wait is obviously unacceptable to me. She did apologize and offer to call me if another appointment time frame opens up. The receptionist also seemed rather unprofessional when I was standing at the counter waiting for additional information. I must say at first I was nervous about trying a new Dentist, however when I found Dr. Williams and his staff, I was pleasantly surprised. I have had many routine visits over the past 3 years as well as some pretty serious surgery done in office. They have always provided an excellent, service, value and performance. Then went back and the dentist came in and looked in my mouth for what they called a comprehensive exam. The Dr at this place have poor social skills. He's very short on words and quite arrogant. As a patient I felt like I didn't matter and my concerns were brushed off. Some of the assistants are nice but the receptionist also lack some social skills. After my procedure I felt like I was rushed out. I had to ask about aftercare practices and some alternative pain solutions which it seems like I was brushed off. I felt like I was being profiled as "not worth the effort". They even told me that I didn't have insurance and when I proved them wrong I was given ugly looks....I don't know maybe you have to fit a certain criteria to be treated like some of these other customers but I know that was definitely not the case with me. Horrible experience!!!! I showed up 15 minutes early, as i was instructed to do, for my New Patient visit. No one was at reception, apparently they were out to lunch! The receptionists rushed back in after lunch and never said a word to me or the others in the waiting area. After another 10 minutes, I walked up to complain and was then allowed to check in. They then proceeded to take a ton of xrays all close up on my face (not sure how safe that even is) without asking if I was pregnant or asking if I had on jewelry. I noticed the signs warning about getting the xrays while pregnant or with jewelry on after the xrays were completed. , They then tried to convince me to buy an up charge service for a "deep cleaning " to remove tartar from under my gum line that they tried to show me on an xray. I saw nothing on the xray and recently had a cleaning elsewhere with no mention of this so I declined. Long story short, after waiting over 2 hours, I still had yet to be seen by a dentist. Also, while I was waiting to check in, a lady came in pissed. Said she just left from getting a crown on her tooth and it fell out in the car on her way home .Needless to say, I won't be back! read more

Find any other dentist to repair your teeth. I was over charged for services they did not need to do and the services they did provide I have had nothing but issues with. They received payment from my insurance and proceeded to charge me an additional $600 that I never received an invoice for but was also covered by insurance. They turned this over to a collection agency who keeps DEMANDING payment for services that were already paid for. I have a denture I cannot wear because it was done incorrectly, I now have more issues with my teeth than ever before and I'm stuck with a very expensive denture that was made poorly, does not fit and they wont stand behind. read more
