They FORGOT i was in the exam room waiting to get my tooth fixed, mind you i am the ONLY patient in the building

I was able to go to the Wilson, NC Aspen Dental office and spoke with the woman at the front desk. I explained to her what has been happening and she was able to look into her computer and see the notes that had been made regarding my prior phone calls. She spoke with the Manager of that office and he was able to clear the account out to a zero balance. They admitted it was their error and that we should not have gone to collections. It was all part of the mess from when Aspen Dental's corporate computer system was hacked. I thanked them for their assistance and am quite pleased with the professionalism that was shown to me by the front desk staff as well as the manager taking responsibility to clear this out for us. read more

Don't waste ur time and money. They r slow in sending insurance charges, give u a run around and put in hidden fees that don't show on your mailing invoice. Not a professional business and I will let friends know not to bother going there. I have should have listen to friends and go with the reviews that people posted about them.. They don't even deserve a positive rating, my rating will be -10. Sorry company. read more

Aspen Dental is in your corner if you have Commercial and BCBS insurance . It is my opinion that Aspen Dental is unethically/illegally dumping patients with Medicare /Medicaid and Medicare Advantage ( scheduling them and later canceling them on the day of their appointments ). I call it " shuffling insurance " Medicare / Medicaid / Medicare Advantage payors will pay them a lower fee on certain procedures. Keep in mind that Aspen Dental has signed contracts and agreed to these fees with these insurance carriers. Which makes it unethical/illegal practices to "shuffle insurance " and choose the most profitable insurance payors on their scheduling software. I do not recommend to use Aspen Dental for your mouth health because of my very negative personal experience with Aspen Dental. I have Aetna Medicare Advantage insurance . I called Aspen Dental on 2/7 about an implant crown that came off . They scheduled me for 2/16 at 8am for an exam and possibly cementing back the crown on the implant. I showed up on 2/16 at 8am just to be told by the front desk staff that they have been trying to contact me and left me a VM that they want to reschedule my appointment. I verified with her that the phone # in their system is the correct phone # for me , than I proved to her that I did not receive any calls from her office and there was no VM left for me , but it is okay we can reschedule me . She said how about Tuesday 2/20 ? I told her that I am traveling to Philly to visit my daughter but I can do Friday 2/23 . She said okay and gave me an appointment card with her hand writing for 2/23/24 at 8am . I arrived at my appointment at 8am today Friday 2/23/24 to be told by the front office staff that I missed my appointment because it was scheduled for Wednesday 2/21/24 and they will be willing to reschedule me. I told her that it was for today , Friday 2/23 at 8am . She said no it was not . I showed her the appointment card with her hand writing for 2/23/24 at 8am. I also told her that it seems to me that they do not know what they are doing and I will no longer be using them and I will find me another dentist and left without being seen by them . This office , Aspen Dental, is doing unethical/illegal activities by scheduling patients, in order to meet certain contractual requirements with the government payors and later dropping them because of their insurance. They are doing " patient dumping " similar to what hospitals used to do . Hospitals stopped this practice after they were penalized by the state and federal government, and paid millions in fees. I relied on Aspen Dental in Wilson for the purchase and services related to full dentures. it has been a nightmare of horrific customer service and qual of product. The customer care issues relate to a complete lack of communication with regard to appointments with specific staff (explaining the issue, have an appointment made, then find out that person is not there after I've driven 40+ miles to get there), not canceling appointments when there are shipping in staffing to accommodate my appointments, not having qualified dentists on the premises when necessary, and completely inflexible with customers. I am going on about 2 years in this process and now going on a second set of dentures because of ongoing breakage and cracking. in a torrent of rain last week, I went for a scheduled appointment and was minutes late because of car accidents and road flooding. I was told to reschedule the appointment because of being late. it was policy, I am one to completely respect policy, but in a scan of the parking lot, there were no cars, likewise, no patients in the waiting room. Each time I go, I am driving 40 miles from my job. I am taking time off of work because I cannot make appointments earlier in the day. Anyone who is even considering services through Aspen Dental in Wilson, NC should think twice. I regret ever doing business with them! read more

Just another corporate dental office they don't care if you're in pain just tell you to take ibuprofen and Tylenol when enough becomes enough. You need relief and they should give it to you. I will never recommend Aspen dental read more

I initially had a great experience. However- I am now on my THIRD call to the billing office because they keep billing under a Dentist that I did not see that is out of network. The DENTIST that I saw is in NETWORK hence I keep getting inaccurate billings. If this is not resolved I will contact an attorney for legal assistance. I absolutely can afford to pay this bill but should not have to since they clearly seem to not know how to bill properly!!! read more

The office itself is absolutely wonderful, but calling at any time for any reason is a nightmare. No one ever answers the phone! Leaving a message is pointless as they never return calls. It has been this way since January when is started dealing with them. You may as well drive there if you have any questions. They do t know what that noise is when the phone rings apparently its an ALL day problem and ALL week problem! read more

I've tried, yet again to make an appointment to have my dental work for dentures set up. I was told by the office staff they had "no idea" when that needed dentist will be in since she's covering for other offices - this is customer service!!!! Dr. Baldwin and her support staff at Aspen Dental in Wilson, NC are absolutely wonderful!!! They are all very caring and compassionate while talking to you and explain everything that you will need to have done per your care plan to fix your dental issues. They even sit down and talk with you about financing options. I had big dental issues due to long term Bisphosphonates (over 20 years and still on Reclast infusions) usage for Osteoporosis and they have been so wonderful getting my teeth cleaned and taking care of my other dental needs due to damage from the Bisphosphonates . They referred me to a dentist in Rocky Mt, NC (at NuImage and I highly recommend them too) to have two molar extractions first, ater the extractions, they have since put a crown on a top molar (#15), performed a deep clean on my teeth, and have made the impression for a partial plate for the two bottom molars that were extracted. They even put a rush job on the partial plate because I'm flying to Salt Lake City, UT and Missoula, MT on Jan. 30th for 2 weeks. I live in Roanoke Rapids, NC but they didn't have an opening in December (because they are newly opened) so I chose to go to the Wilson office and don't regret one single moment of that decision. ALL of my dental needs will now be taken care of by the Wilson office!!! I can't speak highly enough about the staff. As I said they are very caring, compassionate, and really good at explaining the whole care plan they have for you. I love Dr. Baldwin and her Assistants and Office Staff (Shout out to Bri, Jamie, Jessica and all the others)!!! They will always be MY dentist now. read more

This place is a guaranteed bet that you will waste your precious time. With a cracked tooth they wasted well over an hour of my time! They told me they would not have time to pull a completely broken tooth. This all was on a Friday and they assured me they would call me Monday morning with a new appointment to get my tooth pulled. Long story short I never got a call back and it's now Tuesday, and I sit in another office, from another doctor waiting to get my tooth pulled. read more

I had 7 teeth pulled and got full upper dentures. no issues. staff has been very helpful and happy to answer any questions I've had. They explained everything to me , and have been very caring. My temporary dentures look great.. have gotten so many compliments on how natural they look. It's a process getting used to them, but am getting there. Definitely recommend this office! read more
