I went in for a consultation at Aspen Dental (4450 N Harlem Ave, Norridge) and was rushed through a treatment plan despite telling the billing staff I had limited time. I was encouraged to sign what I thought was a simple payment‑plan application, only to later discover it was a credit card application that hit my credit report. I was also charged $1,000 on my HSA card even though no services were performed that day. My treatment plan included 18 individual Arestin charges of $160 each. When I requested that all Arestin charges be removed, only 17 were deleted, and one charge was missed. Because of that oversight, I was still billed $160 for a service I had clearly declined. My bill dropped from $2,100 to $460. When I asked for a refund, I was told it couldn't be released because I had a future appointment, but that someone would call me back. No one called me back. My HSA card was later suspended, three different medical providers could not get paid, and I was told I had 10 days to repay the $1,000 or my paycheck would be docked. Yes, I have some faults and lessons were learned from this experience. Proceed with caution. read more

Went four an upper denture. Next thing I know I'm told I need a crown and three bottom teeth pulled and a partial made. I was supposed to get the upper denture yesterday, but I got a phone call that it wasn't ready and they didn't know when it would be. I was told the first time I went there that it takes a little more than a week to make the denture because they make everything there in their lab. Now I'm being told they only design it there and send it out to be made. Don't go to any Aspen office. read more

I had a cleaning on Nov. 26 and spoke to the dentist about some issues with the Motto liners and asked if there was anything that could be done. He said he would make a call and follow up next week. No follow-up happened. Over the past 30 days I've called the office 3 times and was told each time someone would call back. No phone call. I even called the main customer service number and they said they would escalate my issue and the manager of the office would be calling me. This was about a week ago. No phone call. Can anyone tell me what is going on? I've never experienced service this bad in my whole life. Being completely ignored. I work in the hospitality industry and this would never be acceptable. I don't know any business where this would be acceptable. read more

They lied about being able to help me with a root canal and then suggested seeking out the endodontist who was 1-2 hours away. That's a pretty tough drive in this much pain. The office staff was also incredibly unhelpful. read more

Booked an appointment with Aspen Dental Norridge for severe tooth pain and knew I needed a root canal (my dentist is closed Friday-Sunday). After an hour and a half they tell me that they only do root canals once a month and I can come back in 2 weeks. What a joke and major waste of time. Will never return! Do not go here if you have an emergency! They have an endodontist on location once per month! read more

If you are looking for a Dental Office that you can never get in contact with look no further. I have had two occasions with Aspen Dental on Harlem where I have not been able to get in contact with anyone in the front desk to confirm information or change an appointment. The first time I called for over 20 minutes right after I left asking a question that wasn't answered during my appointment and had to call the Dentures department in order to speak with anyone. My last visit today had me calling from 5:10pm until 5:45 with no one answering, I was nearby so I went inside to see NO ONE at their front desk (see picture below). It has been very bad customer service, especially since I need to call the office for anything more complicated than setting up a new client appointment. Do not go here, save yourself the frustration!!! read more

I went to Aspen Dental a couple of weeks ago...and anyone thinking of going beware!!! The staff could not have been nicer...and the place was spotless and super clean. However, they are there to make money and told me that I had over 3000.00 of treatment needed...100% wrong!!! I have always taken excellent care of my teeth and the only reason I went there is that my old dentist no longer takes my insurance. I would not advice going to any of the large Dental clinics...found a nice private dentist that I am happy with. read more

Look up "Stop Aspen Dental Group" on Meta. Went in excruciating pain and the "Doctor" on-site he basically told me that root canals were beneath him, that I'd need to pay up front to schedule a week out at a facility 45 mins away and I literally had to turn around before leaving to ask them for an antibiotic. The prescription was only 3 days supply and they literally did nothing to help ease my pain. Thankfully I found another local dentist. read more

Went in to get a crown replaced they instead focused on doing fillings which of course turned into root canals. Mind you I had recently been to another aspen for X-rays and they mentioned nothing about even needing fillings. Ultimately I trusted them and they did the fillings but then of course it turned into needing root canals. After all that when I asked them to replace the previous brought up crown that I had originally went in for and after they did all the other work the dentist told me that he would need all the measurements from the implant I got done 15 years ago. He wouldn't work on it otherwise. When I had brought this up prior on multiple occasions they never said it was an issue. BTW dental offices don't give you that kinda information when you're getting the work done and dental practices usually terminate records after 10 years. This dentist did not provide a solution. I need a dental practice that looks past obstacles not one that makes excuses for not wanting to do the work. When they called me to schedule a deep cleaning I communicated this to the office manager and she mentioned that the dentist who had told me this wasn't certified to do a replacement on an implanted crown. The dentist never told me that. So what was the real reason then im sure they would say that they needed the records from the previous dentist but that's not always possible. The next dentist down the street had no problem replacing the crown. How can you trust a dental practice that doesn't take care of your primary needs and that makes excuses and beyond that won't look past the obstacles. The truth is that Aspen is ran as a business first with customers best interest being second for sure. read more

Very busy and long wait times. I was in the office for about 2 hours for a consultation and had to come back that afternoon for a root canal. My appointment was at 2:00 and I did not get seen until 3:15 pm. The endodontist only comes once a month so his schedule is slammed. Had I known that, I would definitely have checked out another place. I had to purchase all of my services before any work was even done on me. I had to pay for a consultation/root canal at my morning appointment and then I was told that I had to come back to get the root canal done. I did not feel comfortable paying all that money and having to leave the facility without any work done. Yes, I eventually got my root canal done that afternoon but it was such a hassle coming back and forth. Was not impressed at all. read more

Stop! Go anywhere else! They don't operate like a normal dentists office does. First I was greeted by the x-Ray technician who started the x-Rays, then I was examined by another person who took in depth pictures of my mouth and teeth. After that, the dentists came in and reviewed the x-Rays and exam notes with me. Then I was led to a small closed door conference room with the office manager waiting for me. As we were alone with the door closed, she handed me the whopping $17,495.00 estimate for my unique treatment plan. And this was after my insurance had been applied. The manager wanted a commitment from me on the spot. In fact, they REFUSED to complete a basic teeth cleaning (which was the purpose of my visit) because I could not commit to their expensive treatment plan. So they used up my one time free x-Rays and exam benefits from my insurance company and they wouldn't clean my teeth. I would never recommend this company to anyone after the way I was so harshly treated. read more
