Jackie was the best hygienist! I recently switched to this Midland-based Aspen Dental because the Hobbs, New Mexico, office where I reside canceled all of their patients due to "no more doctor and at least one hygienist not available." This office answered my call on June 2 and got me in at 10 am the next day (6.3.2025). I think the transition was easier since I was already established with Aspen. My insurance never covers the fluoride treatment that I always opt for. It was $22.95. It sucks that it is an hour and a half away from me. It sucks also that this office is not nearly updated and as modern as the Hobbs office was, but I'm very satisfied with the friendly, fast, and efficient service! I checked in a few minutes early and was out in less than a half hour. I'll be back in December unless something drastic happens yet again. read more

They over charge for all services and overall less than sub par services. Had a top denture made, have gone back twice because it doesn't fit properly and I cannot not eat with it and I'm told it's a "me" problem and have been dealing with it for 2 years. There seems to be a different dentist every time we go, so you can't build a relationship or trust with them. Periodontal cleanings they charge over $1000 after insurance and they make sure to bill items that are not covered by insurance and the make you pay out of pocket. I will now have to go to Dallas 5 hours away to get all of my dental work done with a reputable dentist, it'll cost less. read more

Overall experience with the provide service was good. However the female Dr who does the procedures has a poor bedside manner, she game me an impression of an arrogant person. I did not feel comfortable with her off putting demeanor . She made a mistake but would not admit it and now it will cost me a lot of money. I will take my business somewhere else. My wife and I went in for a routine cleaning and exam and they immediately started pushing a "deep cleaning" to the tune of $4000 for me and $12000 worth of bridge work for her. They did the same thing for my son. When I said that we just wanted a 6-month cleaning, we were told that they can't under-treat a patient. The place is a money pit. read more

Out of all of my appointments with the midland branch everyone was kind and knowledgeable. After the initial consultation the dentist that examined my teeth was no longer there so I was reexamined and given a better treatment plan. They also helped me with financing the extensive treatment that I needed. So fare I have had the best dental experience of my life. I've been through a number of other dentist, including one that would intentionally hurt me when I was a child, so I've never been fond of dental visits. This has been a life changing experience for me and I will continue to be a patient of this practice for the foreseeable future. read more

This is the WORST ran business in Midland. I went into my appointment today and they said "you didn't confirm your appointment so we canceled it." I told the girl I did confirm and I got a message saying it was confirmed and she said "our system doesn't show it so the appointment was canceled." So I get to continue to be in pain (already waited weeks for this appointment). This is NOT the first time this place has canceled/rescheduled my appointment without me knowing. not a good experience at all every time I turned around they wanted to charge me more money after having set up a treatment plan and coming to an agreement amount. I paid money on some crowns ahead of time and decided to go with someone else for my crowns because they wanted to charge me again. They kept my money, said that I owed them. It appears to me that the Midland Aspen Dental office, and the Odessa Aspen Dental office (who I know nothing about) reviews are being mixed up. The Midland Aspen Dentist is a woman. So any recent reference to a male dentist must be for the Odessa Aspen office. The MIDLAND, Aspen, dentist - She has always been respectful, professional, and gentle as is her staff. I've been going there for six years. They have been patient with my questions, I haven't had canceled appointments. They had some Internet issues one time, but hey, it's MIDLAND. I wish I could give 0 stars. After totally dropping the ball on my daughter's appointment on 06 FEB, they contact me today to cancel her appointment she had this morning. At least they didn't make me lose time at work, but holy cow, is it really that hard to schedule and keep an appointment? Apparently here it's mission impossible. At the conclusion of my daughter's cleaning appointment back on 06 NOV 17, I made an appointment for her next cleaning which was scheduled for 06 FEB 18. I was handed an appointment card for that appointment (picture attached to this review). Going to the 06 FEB 18 appointment required me to leave work early, resulting in having to use earned paid time off and the loss of paid over time that day. It resulted in my daughter accruing an absence for her last period class. We arrived 20 minutes early and upon check in I was informed that they had no record of the appointment and the hygienist was fully booked the rest of the day. So what good is it to even make an appointment and receive an appointment card? I emailed their customer service two days ago and have received no response. If you make an appointment here you better be proactive and call them a day or two prior and ensure they actually scheduled it for you, otherwise you'll be out time and lost pay like me. read more

They cancelled my appointments twice and I have tried and tried to call to reschedule left messages and they do not ever return your calls and they certainly do not answer the phones. This particular Aspen Dental is terrible. You schedule an appointment for a cleaning and they bring you in to take x rays and have a doctor look at them to tell you the good news is you only need a cleaning. Then you have to wait for a consultation to schedule your actual cleaning. So after an hour nothing is accomplished despite having an appointment. They take X rays every time you come in even if you have already had them done that year. The more time goes on they are just adding all this extra unneeded things just to milk you for more money. No other dentistry does this. Even the aspen in other places don't do this. After a little over a year at this place I will be choosing a new Dentist. The only reason I gave a 2 was for the great office staff. My hygienist was great as well. The 2 is for the exceptionally poor mannered dentist that did my fillings. I had to look online to actually get what his name (Joopally) was because he said a total of 5 words to me the whole time he did my 3 fillings. I expressed that I had some needle anxiety and was feeling a bit light headed, and he sighed and sat back in his chair, acting completely put out by me. He did nothing to help me feel better and did not even go over what he planned to do to me or the teeth he was doing it to. His personality was a zero, and I will not go back to him again. 1st temporary crown lasted 72 hours; 2nd lasted 1 1/2 hours. 4 calls to the 800 number resulted in 4 promises of callbacks only 1 of which happened, some 1 1/2 hours after it was supposed to be called back (20 minutes according to their system!) And experienced Dental tech who i know VERY well 9she has over 20 years experience) has confirmed no way should a temporary crown come loose let alone come out after such a short period! $1647 for incompetence which has resulted in me having to file chargeback proceedings with my credit card! The Aspen Dental Team was amazing! I had a root canal done this week. I was nervous about the procedure, but the staff made me feel comfortable, and explained the method to calm me down. I didn't feel any pain during or after the root canal. The staff is friendly especially the office manager. The prices are reasonable for anyone who has to have any dental work. read more

Here's the deal - I've seen my share of dentists, good and bad. Dr. Patel - she's very good. Aspen Dental as a whole - absolute worst business I've been to. My first appointment consisted of waiting an hour to get X-rays and then dealing with an X-ray tech on her cellphone the whole time and being rude. But that's midland isn't it. It gets better. I live out of town, so any appointment I schedule is me taking 4 hours out of my day to drive there and back. My first appointment I'm told I need a filling. Ok sure, fine. Let's schedule it in two weeks on the one Friday I have off for the month. Fast forward to that day and I drive two hours to make an 8 am appointment. I sit down and 20 mins later get called up and told, "Sorry we have overbooked and we need to cancel your appointment." Are you kidding me...... I don't care that you overbooked, but call me Thursday afternoon and tell me this! I will never go to Aspen Dental again, either in Midland or elsewhere. I feel bad for the actual dentists and hygienists because I can tell they're not terrible. Their company is terrible. read more

I scheduled a cleaning appiointment for myself a month in advance. A few days before my appointment, they called to reschedule because the doctor would be out. So the soonest time they could reschedule me for was 5 weeks later! 5 weeks later (again, 2 days before my appointment) they just called to tell me that they have to reschedule me because the doctor won't be in...again. Not very efficient when it comes to managing a patients time. After 2.5 hours I only had X-rays done. I expected to get my teeth cleaned and pricing done for my next appointment but they seemed to be a bit busy so in the 2.5 period I waited and consulted with a dentist. I truly regret calling this place but I was desperate and had a very bad toothache, so dr. Patel takes me back and gets me to show which one hurts. After that she just says okay! We'll set an apt. For 9 days later... most miserable 9 days ever. Anyway, she proceeds to put in a crown that still gives me pain on certain days. Anyway, I went back for a 2nd apt. And Dr. PATEL and she proceeds to break a filling in another tooth while extracting another. She didn't tell me what happen but proceeded with handing me a ton of papers to sign that basically said I couldn't sew her or hold her reliable for anything else that happened. I signed it because I thought everything went great, low and behold 2 days later I notice my tooth that had the filling is more sensitive than ever. this is consistently the worst dental office i have ever been subjected to! i scheduled a cleaning, i got x-rays, though it hadn't been a full year since my last x-rays, and a consultation with the dentist. he had a whole list of things to do with my teeth, none of which surprised me. then, they directed me to the most ghetto blonde wig-wearing business manager, who couldn't seem to find an appointment for something like five weeks in their system. i told her to look at odessa, which is supposed to have a couple more hygienists over there, but somehow, since i couldn't come next saturday since we will be out of town, she says they're all booked up, too! i made sure i didn't owe her a dime before i left and told her i'd let her know. they are crooks of my money, since they charge an arm and a leg for their services, thieves of my time, since somehow i spent an hour getting told nothing i didn't already know, and liars because they knew they would not be cleaning my teeth when they set up the appointment in the first place!!!! if they told me what they planned to do, i wouldn't have gone there and used up my x-ray credits with my insurance company-i would have gone elsewhere in the first place!!! i swear to god i hope someone starts a class action lawsuit against this company because they misrepresent what they are going to do! if i take my car into the shop with a flat tire on the back of a flatbed truck to get it there at my appointment, i expect to get a freaking new tire, not a bill for overhauling my engine and a new paint job, then told to come back in five weeks!!! screw aspen dental. take your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

This Dental operation is nothing but a fraud. After a year of being told a turn key price that was never intended, dentists that disappear between appointments and partials that have to be redone with a terrible fit anyway. After going back for my first appointment for a possible adjustment the dentist denied that the plate hugging my palate did not have a gap that causes food to accumulate due to the gap. If I would press on the gap it would split my tongue in two. I am considering legal action at this time... I just left Aspen Dental , I had a patient consult with the office manager Bre , I had left a negative review and FEEL BAD. Not realizing that it personally affects DR PATEL very much and she is the most caring and compassionate dentist in the Permian basin and I have been to a few and would not recommend any of them. I could not understand why they operate the way they do , until it was just explained to my by Bre . I had questions and she spent time with me answered every question I had and I even had Dr Patel come in and clarify a procedure to me and her concern about me having it done BECAUSE SHE REALLY CARES. People the treatment that she sets up is done and if it is stretched out a little , it is because she want to. E sure that you tolerate the procedure and don't have adverse problems. And for your comfort. I am totally looking forward to getting stuff going beginning Tuesday. If you want A GREAT DENTIST THAT GENUINELY CARES WITH A GOOD BEDSIDE MANOR. She is it! Today I was told by the Director of Aspen Dental for the Midland Texas area that Dr. Patel would not be completing my dental treatment plan. The director stated that Dr. Patel did not feel comfortable giving me any further treatment as she was concerned about my health? I had just had 6 extractions done on 6/20/17 and was trying to adust to the the temporary upper denturet that was made for me and a lower that didn't fit; no matter how many adjustments they made? I had reported issues with my upper denture and the soft reline that was applied; as I had a severe reaction to the chemicals in the material. Ir is still unbelievable for me to even comprehend how this could be happening and especially the reasons I was given for stopping my dental work? I don't know why Dr. Patel did not discuss these issues with me? Full payment was made on 6/20/17 for my dental work; except for a crown that Dr. Patel stated I would need on 7/24/17; the last time I saw her. I did ask a member of the office staff to please have Dr. Patel call me; but that did not happen?. I now have to find someone else to complete my dental work and all this is very stressful for me to say the leastl! . I am a senior citizen on a limited income and I don't know where to start looking for a dentist who will stand behind their work, be kind, caring and wants to listen and help their patient? Got double billed and had to call insurance company to clear it up before aspen dental would stop sending me bills.
