They charged in advance of even making appointments for fillings and appliances. they never performed work and didn't provide bite guard I was charged for. Refused to make refund for work not performed. They need to have Medicare do something about fraudulent charges and claims. Go here only as a last resort and hold on to your wallet. They will never complete plan of treatment. You really don't want them to once you experience the level of expertise. read more

I had great service when I first going here but now they have a new dentist in there now its horrible in there I told them to take my partial and make sure it fit with the 2 crowns I had to get put on when they put the partial in they took and kept cutting it and mind u this partial was made almost a yr ago as expensive as it was you would think they would have tried very hard to save it so when I got home I had hell trying to get it off it was so tight I couldn't stand it I also asked for a cleaning and they supposedly couldn't do tht I paid them over a thousand dollars and they just sent me another bill this is ridiculous I will be investigating this I will not return to this place ever again read more

I have never seen a business that was so disorganized and so unprofessional. I arrived to get a deep tissue cleaning on my teeth. The hygienist only spent 15 to 20 minutes cleaning my teeth and they charged me $1075 for only half of my teeth being cleaned. I questioned the hygienist about what a bad job he did and he told me I have lots of experience on the job and this is the way we do it. He spent 10 of those minutes using a water pic device and he used the tools for maybe eight minutes trying to get the stuff off of my teeth. When he tried to floss, it kept getting stuck, which meant it wasn't very clean in between the teeth I canceled my other appointments because this place is such a joke. Do not do business with this place. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I would give this place a zero rating. read more

Mouth trauma can be expected when you have teeth extracted. My mother suffered much more than that. She is 80 years old and I live out of state. I had to book a flight to take care of her and to try and resolve the issue with her Dr. I found out that the dentist that did her extractions was from a temp agency. I asked to speak to him and they said they did not know how to reach him . When I asked to speak to her real Dr. I was told he was with a patient. I said we would wait. Twice I made the request and twice I was told he was unavailable. Twice I told them we'd wait. I wanted for him to take the impressions himself and to explain why her dentures had no midline,occlusion , no curve of spee or curve of Wilson. I wanted him to make things right. Aspen made me a great lower partial, even though it took two different attempts. Their hygienists saw me twice to clean my teeth within six months. I saw two different hygienists. Neither hygienist told me I had a horrible cavity in one of my front teeth. The first I knew about it was when my tooth cracked. The staff is different every time I went in, and none are friendly. They talk to each other and ignore the patients. The dentist is not helpful or interested in what's going on with you. I won't return. Debra H read more

Worst dental experience ever! my husband was suffering with a extreme toothache so we went in on a emergency Saturday morning.. They made us pay $160.00 prior to service which was fine but should have been a red flag.. The treatment he received was a very weak antibiotic along with 600 mg Motrin the bottle said take 1 tab with 2 Tylenol extra strength every 8 hours.. long story short he suffered with the tooth pain. No pain relief we were told they were just going to treat pain because it was a walk in on Saturday.. $160.00 later he had a prescription for Motrin and Amoxicillin.. anyone that has had an abscess tooth knows the pain... read more

My wife saved about $5000 for some dentures. It took her several years to do so. She put her faith in Aspen Dental and it was a HUGE MISTAKE!!! They misled us into thinking she was going to get a second set of dentures that, if she were to come up with a certain amount, I believe it was like $600 -$900 more dollars (don't quote me on these prices they are ball park figures as it was some time ago), that the second set would be the "comfy light" (spelling?) upgrade. Anyhow, she saved enough to get the comfy lights and they told her that she didnt pay fast enough. Now that she already had a set of dentures that absolutely suck, they told her "well, if you were going to upgrade, you should have done it within 6 months, sorry." MY WIFES HEART IS BROKEN!!!!! Do NOT go to them for dentures. They assured me that if I had any problems with the dentures that I could come in and they would fix them. So I went ahead and paid them $3000 to have them make them. Now about a month later I've tried to start using them and they don't fit right, they seem to be too big and they hurt me. Called them today to come in and see about making adjustments or whatever is necessary, nope sorry we can't see you until September. So I have a set of $3000 dentures that I can't use and they will not help. Steer way clear of them. Today I went to my oral surgeon, he looked at the dentures and they are not even close to being right, says they will have to be completely remade. I scheduled an appointment a week ago and show up this morning to find out my appointment was cancelled to fit someone else in. they said they called to confirm and got no answer therefore just cancelled my appointment assuming I wouldn't show up. woke up early to be there at 8am just for her to say there's nothing she can do about it and to just reschedule. I planned my day around this and took off work. just because you don't get a confirmation doesn't mean you just cancel someone's appointment. I came in as a new patient and here is my experience from the Temple, TX location. I showed up to an early morning appointment and wait over an hour to be seen for x-rays and exam. The tech and dentist were pleasant which is the only good. Besides the hour plus wait my biggest issue is their stated procedure on requirement at least 60% prepayment for ANY procedure to be even scheduled. I have NEVER heard of that and neither have any of my friends. I have insurance. My out of pocket for a periodontal cleaning and one cavity was $264. Not even something major, so I don't get it and they won't be getting a penny out of me. January is not far away so I will wait for my next year to get evaluated and any work done. I don't recommend them unless you want to tolerate a wait and put up with a stupid policy. And an update: As a further update of their unprofessional-ism and incompetence, they have failed to follow through on promises to make a resolution nor forward my records as promised within 24 hours. It's been over 100 plus hours since their regional manager promised they would be taken care of. Avoid them y'all if you care about your service and respect. read more

If I could give them a -0 I would Aspen Dental on slide rd in Lubbock tx is the worst. I was recently there 7-20-20 and had the worst experience ever. I literally left in tear due to the rough dental work the dentist done. Long story short I had my wisdom tooth pull which took over and hour and during the procedure the dentist let her tool slip a hit me in the roof of my mouth. Now I have a big black bruise in the roof of my mouth. To top it all off my tongue is numb on the side I had the tooth removed from and when I called and asked about the numbness I was told it could take a month or two to get my feeling back. Why wasn't I told this in the beginning but whatever it's worth don't waste your time paying someone money to hurt you. I went in for a "perfect smile " ...now I grow a beard and mustache to cover my smile......The little red headed boy in the back making partials cut the tendon to my upper lip....giving me a smile ...that was less than desirable....(nurse practitioner,or whatever noticed at check up ! Said we cut your (latin medical term) And ran out to tell dentist of procedure .....also after growing a beard and mustache (that I may keep for life due to the alteration of my f&$#@cking face) ...for over 5 years now.....the lady dentist left a full root with nerve (that she broke off at gum line).......which is now absessed .! Can anyone say malpractice!.........run like hell! I should sue....and now that after 4 or 5 years on a procedure that should have no nerve endings.....I may.....I'm a working man and did not pursue....but I'm in such pain I will now.!.....if you want A bad face alteration, and long term mouth pain this place is for you!!!!!! .....I am a malpractice lawyer's dream...... read more

Definitely worst dental clinic! The billing system is chaos. The customer service is rude and mean. They are more than happy to charge you way much and when you question them, you got stupid answers. I have two dental insurances, from my workplace and my husband's. I told them the preventive cleaning should be free and even called my insurance company to talk them. They still insisted that I have to pay $50, even with my insurance representative online talking to them. The manager just said they charge what their system told them and I can't have any services unless I pay that $50 upfront. Never mind! I went to my normal dentist office (6 months after) when I had dental insurance again. Turns out I actually have ZERO cavities, and no gum issues at all. For the Lubbock location on Slide Rd. Oh where to start on this place...If there was a negative star then that is what I would give. This is the WORST place I have EVER had an experience with! And ACTUALLY, I don't even go here. This review is based on the experience my Mother is having. She is getting SCREWED and getting the run around when it comes to her dentures. This has been going on since May and she STILL DOES NOT have her dentures! She has been told every month that the FINAL dentures will be SO MUCH BETTER and SO WORTH it when it is all said and done. (She just has temporary dentures right now. Why? No one seems to know. The people I know that have dentures have never heard of this) She has not been able to eat anything solid since MAY! She has lost close to 30 lbs because of this and the dentist just keeps saying "be patient Ms ***. It will be worth it when the final dentures are made." And now a new/different dentist is telling her that her lower dentures (the one's she has had trouble with) are "just for looks anyway. Not for eating." WHAT?!?!?!?!?! The office on Slide Road has an incompetent and rude staff. I was a first time patient and wanted to make sure my records from out of state had been received. I called them before making the appointment to make sure and was told that the records had arrived. Today (the day of the appointment) I called to make sure that they would be in my chart for the doctor to review. I was told they were not there. They placed me on hold for a long period of time. When I asked to speak to someone in charge I was put on hold again. When I became upset and said to cancel the appointment the receptionist hung up on me. Common courtesy would have dictated that a supervisor should have called me to see what the problem was but I have heard nothing. Very unprofessional! read more

Took my daughter with gum inflammation, pain, and bleeding from wisdom teeth coming in. Instead of cutting the gum or giving ANY relief for the immediate problem, they told us she needed a plan for BRACES. What a heartless upsell! When we said we were worried about the immediate problem first and wouldn't be committing to braces today, they said we were finished with the appointment. Will never be back. Absolutely ridiculous. Last year, my daughter and I went to our appointments on separate days. She had a normal cleaning and was overall a pleasant experience. My insurance stated cleanings and annual visits are free, but I get a bill in the mail for her appointment. First red flag. I went in for my appointment, they stated I had stuff wrong with my teeth and gums, and that I would have to pay over $1000 for the procedures. Another big red flag. The third flag came from today. I had a scheduled appointment today that I confirmed with them last week through their automated system. I also get a call to confirm the appointment. This was on the 21st of this month. I took my daughter in, and they said they were trying to get into contact with my stating they didn't have a dental hygienist to do my daughter's cleaning, and they would have to reschedule for August. This was their negligence and it's absolutely ridiculous that they're unable to see my daughter because of staffing issues. Pushing my appointment three months. No. So. I recommend to not go here. Absolutely the worst dentist in Lubbock. My husband had over $4,000 in dental work (a permanent bridge) done about 2 years ago. The bridge should last 5-10 years. We are now sitting at a new dentist who has informed us that the bridge from Aspen Dental was done incorrectly.. to quote the new dentist, the bridge was "jerry rigged." We now have ANOTHER $4,000 dental bill for work that should have been done correctly the first time. Not only was the work sub par, but the dentist was rude and condescending. They added things to our bill like a toothbrush and toothpaste and never told us. They pretended like it was free. Thankfully we read the bill and asked them to take off the extra things. Save your money. Go somewhere else. Literally anything else. Mexico might be a better option than these people at Aspen who don't care about you, your well being, or your wallet. I scheduled my appointment two weeks out, confirmed my appointment through a text message I received, filled out all my paperwork online, took off from work, and even received a message in the morning reminding me of my 4pm appointment. I arrived 15 minutes early, checked in, and waited patiently; after 20 minutes I was told that my appointment was cancelled because I did not verbally confirm my appointment. We asked to have a tooth pulled because of extreme pain. was told could pull at time of appointment. when we go there they decided to do a full exam that we did NOT ask for & when asked about pulling the tooth they had no record of that request. They said that the person who pulls teeth is contracted out & does not live in Lubbock & it would be another month or more before we could get it pulled, but we could spend thousands of dollars in the mean time & get other work done. were only given meds for 1 week but would have to wait over a month. Really sad with this practice from start to finish. They did not care about me at all. I went in to get my last trays for Invisalign today. Note my bottom teeth shifted as I waited a month in a half to get my last set of trays. I let the dentist know that I would like for them to fix them since I waited so long. She said I would have to pay for Invisalign again since they already sent in for my last tray. Why would I pay for something that wasn't done correctly in the first place? I let her know I wore my trays while I waited and it's not my fault they shifted back into place since they took the attachments off. She said it wasn't their fault and if I wanted it fixed I was going to have to pay for it. I've had many problems with them messing up my Invisalign before this, them "throwing" away my trays, waiting months to even get them and calling to set up my own appointments. I walked out today with the job partially done and a $3100 loss. This place is ran by unprofessional people all around. Save your time and money. This practice is a joke. read more

I went into this location and was quoted around $3400.00 after my insurance, so I paid the whole thing up front. From there I felt I had nothing but bad experiances with this location. Several times my appointments were randomly moved without them even notifying me. When I would call about this the receptionist was very unfriendly, and seemed like she really didn't care about my issue. After the 3rd time this happened I really didn't even want to go back, but I had already paid for the services so I went in to get 2 of the 4 fillings I needed on 8/23/18. At this appointment the doctor had drilled a whole into the side of my lip and never said anything about it to me. I didn't notice until I got home because I was still numb from the novicane. I immediately called and was unable to get a responce until right at closing time when they finally called me. The doctor admitted he had done that and proceeded to tell me it will just heal up on its own. This made me not ever want to go back but I needed my soft lining done the next week because they were falling out on me and it was hard for me to even go to work with the way they were. I went in for my soft lining on 8/28/18 and requested a refund for the services I had not received because I do not want to have any more work done here. It's been over two weeks since the filling and the whole he drilled is barely starting to heal, and I have not heard anything about my refund. This place is the worst experience I've had to this point. I went in about to 2 1/2 yes ago. They called my insurance and were told how much I had available to spend. They gave an estimate of like $900, which they charged me all my visits up front. Which in no way did I complain about the price. Went back about 6 weeks later and still had in house credit. About 6 months later they called me out of nowhere that I owed them $360 still. Sounds me to like they were trying to overcharge me and or the insurance, so insurance declined it after it had been pre-approved. I told them the mistake was made by them and for over a yr I hear nothing from them, not a bill statement nor a call. All of a sudden after 2 yrs of service I get an email from my credit stating i had an account added to my credit for nonpayment. That's crazy how Aspen tries to rob you and when you say no , then Aspen dental Lubbock tx tries to ruin your credit!!! Never will I go there again read more
