Scheduled with this office back in August for January appointment. They canceled two days and…read morerescheduled all the way to March. Just to call and cancel days before the March appointment. I called to once again reschedule for three days following. They did not answer and never returned my voicemails. Not only is their reception clearly unprofessional but the disregard by the entire team to just toss appointments around and cancels whenever if a joke. They also will listen to your concerns and just refer you to a specialist that will find out you had no issues that Aspen believed you did and charge you an extra $400 just for going. I could probably receive better dental care from the nail Salon beside them.

Dentist jammed wedges in my teeth aggressively, I had tears running down my face. Lack of care for their patients. On my second visit I was told I owed $1600 because they said they didn't take my insurance (after I asked numerous times if it was accepted). They told me at the second appointment, never tried to reach out to me before the appointment to inform me of the issue. The only good part was the assistant, she was kind and understanding. I also tried to get back in for the dentist to look at my messed up filling and was told they didn't have a hygienist. I told them I wanted the doctor to fix it, not a hygienist and they tried to send me to Bridgeport. They made me even more afraid of the dentist. Go to Morgantown Dental. They care and know what they are doing. ALSO they are willing to communicate to you and don't make you feel unhygienic for having bad teeth.

The lower cracked on Dec and Aspen reloaded it quickly (within an hour). The lower broke again yesterday and again they repaired it in a hour after evaluation. They also have ordered a spare / replacement be made, no charge. I have not had the negative experience that some have posted but anything is possible. Perhaps personnel changes have made a difference; their facility replaced the former Ruby Tuesday location a few years ago. I found the staff at Aspen personable and responsive, a far cry from other experiences with others in the past (not local to Winchester). I do highly recommend them.

I really wanted this to be a positive review, especially because Dr. Gaitan and Fatima were…read moreinitially great during my first few visits. Unfortunately, my experience has taken a very disappointing turn. I first came in on 5/13 with severe tooth pain. After that visit, I walked away with a $6,000 treatment plan and an appointment scheduled a week out--but no relief. I was told I needed a root canal, two crowns, and a cavity filled. That cavity still isn't filled to this day. When the pain worsened, we reached out for help and heard nothing back. We ended up needing to schedule another appointment just to get something for the pain. Fast forward almost a full month later, and I'm in just as much pain--if not more--than when I first walked through the doors. At this point, I have two temporary crowns--one on each side--and the cavity that should've been addressed immediately has become so painful that even air hitting it is unbearable. Now, the tooth behind the one that had the root canal (but still doesn't have the permanent crown) is throbbing. I understand dental work takes time, but I came here with pain and left with more of it, and with little resolution after weeks of waiting. It's heartbreaking and frustrating to feel like things were not only left incomplete--but possibly made worse. I hope this review prompts a more thorough look at how patients in pain are cared for, because I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. ____________________________________________________________________________________ I recently had my first-ever root canal, and like anyone would be, I was nervous. But Dr. Gaitan and Fatima made all the difference, today. From the very first appointment, Dr. Gaitan has been kind and patient through this process. Each time I've sat in his chair, he's eased my concerns and made me feel confident in the care I was receiving. Over today when I had additional concerns, he sat right through them all with the same kindness. Fatima was a sunny spot in the morning, equally amazing--knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. Today's visit was no exception. They both took the time to go over the procedure as we went through each part of the procedure. The only hiccup I experienced was during a time Dr. Gaitan was on vacation. Unfortunately, dealing with the front desk in his absence was frustrating and lacked the same level of communication and support. That said, when Dr. Gaitan is present, the experience is exceptional. I'm so grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and expertise shown by Dr. Gaitan and Fatima. Highly recommend!

This is the first review I have ever written on here because I was so disgusted with this place and…read moreall the money it has stolen from the community. It's kind of long, so if you don't want to read the whole thing, here is the one sentence version: Aspen Dental actively cons the community by diagnosing non-existent gum disease and trying to sell unproven treatments, and they use fear and fast talk to achieve those means along with a focus on targeting the elderly. Unless you want to commit this year's salary to solving problems you don't actually have, go see someone else. Don't. Go. To. Aspen. The Long Version I have a lot experience in security and dealing with con men, and it's still amazing to me that this operation is legal. Their whole strategy is a scam designed to sell you (unproven) treatments you don't need at incredibly high prices. I confirmed this theory with two other local dentists before I decided to leave this review. I expect greed from Blair County businessmen, but this is a different level. They are going to tell you that you have gum disease and dramatically push you towards unproven antibiotic treatments for a breezy $5,000, and your insurance won't pay for it because they know it doesn't work. I watched them lie to a senior couple about that specifically when the insurance company refused to pay for treatments they didn't need. In particular, don't trust the lady that is checking your gums at your intake. I wish I could name drop her to highlight the guilty, but I forget what it was. She is lying to you and will tell you that you're ill, scare you, sell you an overpriced toothbrush, and take home a commission. I can't tell if she believes the lies she is peddling (in other words, is unintelligent) or if she is conning people for the money, but it doesn't matter. Here's what happened: I went there because I needed to have a filling replaced. They ignored that and tried to convince me I have severe gum disease, but they didn't realize they had told me the same nonsense five years ago and none of what they said would happen ever happened. The con lady said they couldn't fill the tooth without treating my gums because it's like fixing the house's siding with a bad foundation, which is a ridiculous comparison. I would need the tooth filled either way, my mouth is not an old house. I'd bet that the middle aged lady that does the evaluations and yells numbers at you directly benefits from whatever nonsense she can sell you, because she talks fast and uses assumed consent in the same way a shark does at a pool hall. She is also unpleasant, and became more unpleasant when she realized I wasn't going to buy anything from her. Her job is to sell stuff, not care for patients, and it is very clear where her priorities are. My experience with sharks immediately told me I was dealing with a con-woman once I heard the way she talked and how stupid she assumed I was. Perhaps you'll find her less abrasive? Anyway, they refused to replace the filling unless I treated the imaginary gum disease first. When I asked them if I should leave the same way I came in, they suddenly changed their minds and made an appointment to fill the tooth. Because of course they did. The garbage filling they eventually gave me was 350 dollars, and it broke immediately - within hours. They also tried, through presumed consent, to sell me an implant for another casual 10ish grand and said my jaw bones would waste away to nothing and ruin my life if I didn't do it. My mom has been missing that same tooth for 30 years and she is just fine. In order to provide this "service," they made me come in three times instead of just doing it the first time. I just wanted a filling to be replaced. If I knew there were going to be all these lies and stuff I would have just filled it with super glue myself and got similar results. Amazed at how blatantly predatory these people are, I decided to see another dentist to make sure my evaluation was correct. He fixed all my problems for half the price. He also confirmed my suspicion - that this organization lies for a living and tells everyone that they have gum disease. He then cleaned my teeth for 150 dollars (with xrays) and told me that I take very good care of my teeth - because I take very good care of my teeth. I can't give his name because he told me about Aspen's con in confidence. Overall, Aspen is a really great example of modern corporate greed. I was taught that lying to people to take their money is wrong, but nowadays I guess it's just good business. As a fun sidenote, a few years ago I had them pull a broken tooth, and it was literally the most excruciating thing I have ever experienced - on par with my severe eye injury. Then they wouldn't give me pain killers even though they pulled part of my jaw bone out with the tooth. I waved it off as an accident but now I see it's just terrible care at a high price. 0/10, do not pass go, do not give them your 200 dollars.

I never got Novocain for any fillings when I was a kid (because then there was an extra charge for the Novocain, and at that time there were 7 of us kids in our family, (and my Dad was already working two jobs and didn't want the extra charge for the Novocain). I was the only one in my family nervous about going to the dentist! My husband and I moved to Belle Vernon a year ago (after living in Pittsburgh for a long time). I believe there was an angel OR divine Intervention here!!!! I'll explain why .... I am now 65 years old and my one tooth started hurting. The closest place for me to go was to ASPEN DENTAL (in BELLE VERNON) it's the closest dentist to where we live. I wish i had used Aspen dental a longggg time ago!!!!!!! I spoke with the dentist at Aspen about my fears and he was very understanding. (Because of neglecting the dentist for many years I had no choice but to go to the dentist). The dentist had to pull one tooth on the bottom and two teeth at the top. I didn't feel a thing (and the dentist only used Novocain!!!! I wish i moved to Belle Vernon a longggggg time ago"!!!!! I will never neglect my teeth again because I have Aspen Dental !!! Regards, Kathleen Hassett-Manns

My family and I are through with them. I hope others find this information useful and don't have to pay $250 for their kid's cleaning. Update: After calling Humana, we found out that Dr. Fazio is covered under our plan and we are filing a claim directly with Humana. Then I met their hygienist Sierra. Judgmental, pushy, and condescending, and the dentist who acted the exact same way towards me. There's a difference between teaching your patients and talking down to them, and I was close to tears multiple times sitting in that chair being scolded like a child. They told me I needed a root canal, and quoted me for a scaling and planing procedure. When I asked what the procedure was they stated "a deeper cleaning than normal," and then failed to be forthcoming with any other details. What they failed to tell me was that it involved possible local anesthesia, and that my mouth would be sore for days after, and possibly make getting a root canal a worse experience than it already would be. Then when they gave me the price, I called other dentists in the area to see if it was comparable. It wasn't. They were charging me almost $800 more than everyone else in the area (and included things in there that were not discussed like a specialty tooth brush and flosser.) They also gave me a paper saying I had signed for a "quote," but had charged me for the procedure that day. Luckily when I called and cancelled and told them my concerns they said they would refund it to my card, but now to need to call my insurance to make sure they weren't billed for a procedure that isn't going to be done by them. If you're looking for non-judgmental help, I would NEVER recommend this practice.
