When I first started getting crowns done in Feb of 2014, they were using one type of Crown material and the next time I went back it as another, they ended up replacing most if not all the original crowns under warranty. In June of 2016, I had I believe 7 Crowns done at once, due to the extreme wear that I had, we needed to build my teeth back and I was told I could add to and take away as needed for proper fit. Which sounded great with the information that I was given at the time; I can tell you it was very painful, and I will never do that again. Of those crowns, most has come off and were replaced with the newer product. Now those same crowns are breaking and I'm having to replace them again at my cost. I was led to believe these crowns were permanent not temporary. Most crowns are less than 7

Luckily it wasn't anything major or life threatening but when a tooth breaks in half while working in a very small town in Georgia, what's a girl to do? After making a few calls the God's must have been with me because they led me to Dr. Childress and his wonderful team. As I made the 25 minute drive to LaGrange from where I was working, I wasn't sure what to expect. But as I walked in I was pleased to a modern office, nicely decorated and was greated by a very warm staff. After a thurough exam the Dr. and his team gave me my treatment and payment options. As I was 4 weeks from getting my new dental insurance I knew this wasn't going to be pretty. I decided to take the best option which was a full crown and was thrilled to see and hear that the Dr. has a new camera and comupter that actually creates the crown right there in his office while I waited. How wonderful to not have to return for that dreaded second visit and not to mention no nasty blue goo process! If you are searching for a new Dentist and not sure where to turn, this truly was the best dental experience I have ever had. All the way down to the Dr. calling me personally the next day to check on me. First class all the way! Many Kudo's to you Dr. Childress to you and your team! Karen G.

If I could give less stars I would. This dentist is terrible!…read more I went to her because I am from out of town and she was one of the only dentist in the area who was covered by my insurance. I just went for a cleaning but she said we should take x-rays. She took my x-rays and told me I had 16 cavities. 16! Being the trusting fool I was, I believed her and agreed with her that they should be filled. We did my left side first and she did such a terrible job that I literally could not chew on that side of my month for 6 months. I still sort of feel it. She also told be she would use white fillings but she used the ugly grey kind. It was such a terrible experience when I went home to visit my family over the holidays I went to my family dentist. I had him take x-rays as well and not only did he notice that "Dr" Slater used filling that the ADA doesn't even recommend you use anymore he also pointed out that I did not have any cavities on the other side of my mouth (even though "Dr" Salter said there were 8 on my right side). One of the teeth that she filled has completely cracked because she did such a terrible job. She totally ripped me off and didn't even have a the decency to use the white fillings like she said she would. HORRIBLE dentist. She offers cheap deals but you are choosing cheap dental work from someone who doesn't know what they are doing.

I'll support the other reviewer on this. I must preface this with I have a mouthful of crowns and…read morebridgework, the wife has wonderful teeth... Wife had some slight cosmetic work done on her front, Informed they would file this to insurance as 2 filling and our portion would be 181. After work completed informed it be 539 as ins wouldn't cover - why not mention this before the procedure?? While viewing our ins claims, approx 2 months later discovered it was filed on our insurance and they had both ours and the insurances payments, we had visits during this 2 months and they said nothing. WE had to bring in to their attention. Now for me: Previous dentist noticed in x-rays some root issues on one of my front 4 tooth bridge work and a separation was needed to do an implant. Looking underneath she said there was enough of the old tooth to put in a new crown, it came off twice so I carried temp cement about everywhere I'd go. Within 6 months was determined this wasn't going to last so time to extract - which is what my old dentist said. After extraction a "flipper partial" for this void was made but when it came back the tooth was 2mm low on the device, leaving a low hanging tooth and a large void at the gum line. I asked if this could be remade and for some reason it was ordered in another shade so when it came back it was darker and was actually to short. I spoke with the office manager many times and truly felt they should go back to the lab to have it made correctly but their fix was to add material to fill the mentioned void and it is bright white where the reset of the tooth is properly shaded. So now I have a front tooth that is terribly not shaded correctly, normal color bottom and very white on top. I'm glad to report we no longer go to them, and have found a private practice dentist that is more in touch with their patients. On 3/10/16 I received a collection letter as the first item mentioned above which happened in April of 2015. They never billed us on this, called to say we owed it and thought very poor business practices, adding this to the double billing. We've had visits since April 15 and nothing was ever said, we ended the business relationship first of Feb 2016. When calling about this the last billing notice that was required outside of insurance coverage was in April fo 2015 per office staff. 3/14/16 - Had a meeting with office manager and they were unable to show me where the above charge was from, they closed the account and wrote off the 39.88 that was sent to collection. Was actually found they owe us money from that visit in April 2015.
