Raising my review of this specific branch of Aspen after a manager here was able to help me resolve the below issue. Would not recommend this dentist chain overall or go again myself but the staff was helpful - thank you! read more

I had an appointment this morning for a cleaning! I tried to call the office this morning to let them know I'll be late. No one answered, I walked in at 9:20am at the young lady at the front desk was on edge.. of course she greeted me with the line of how can I help you! All she said it's going to be $125 dollars. I was like wow. I was like I have insurance. She said did you have insurance when you was here the last time?plus she had an attitude like she was pissed that I had it! My appointment was at 930am. She told me that she was going to push my appt at 10:00am . It was the over all experience. She' was the face of ASPEN. Don't go here ! Save your time and go somewhere else. I was asked for my drivers license and credit card while going over several possible procedures and expenses, and was advised that I could get a possible loan by putting $75 down and making pay over time. I declined the procedures and loan application but was still charged $75 and told reimbursement would take up to 5 days!!! My bank card should NEVER been charged $75 before services began! read more

Stopped in to schedule a teeth cleaning appointment. Previous dentist retired. They want me to schedule an exam that may take 45 minutes to an hour and a half then schedule a teeth cleaning appointment after that. I've been seeing dentist regularly since I was a child. Never once came across something this crazy. Clean my teeth, take X-rays, have the dentist check my teeth, give me a tooth brush and I leave. After reading your other reviews I'm glad I left! read more

Lousy service. First the website and voicemail says they are open at 7AM, but they don't open until 8AM. Called their after hours/emergency number on Saturday at 12:30 PM and the doctor never called back. It wasn't until 7:30 PM before someone else called. All this company wants is your money. The is no follow up care nor compassion. I am in a lot of pain and I get the impression I am not important. Go somewhere else. read more

Aspen Dental never keeps your appointment. I normally only go to the dentist for cleanings which means twice a year. When it is appointment time they call and ask if you can change your appointment that you held all year and never cancel or say that you didn't confirm even though you have the e-mail to say other wise. They will still have you inI for your appointment time and have you wait and tell you they are finishing up with another patient even though your appointment was before them, because they over booked. Called to ask me to change my appointment that I confirmed, the lady on the phone said she had a 4:30 in place of my 3:30. Told me she would call me back and never did, so I called customer service line to see if I still had my 3:30 and they said yes. Went to office and they made me wait till 4:30 in the chair. Aspen dental is awful, Never again!! Do not use Aspen Dental read more

*Horrible** Don't go here!!! 11/14-initial visit. Impressions and x-rays. 11/16- had to go back for more Impressions. 1st ones were wrong. Also told they did the coding wrong for the billing so no sedation. It would be $2000 out of pocket. They will call in a valum. 11/20- appointment at 4. Took him late. While in the waiting room, 2 people walked out with nothing done due to billing issues and 1 lady's insurance all of a sudden didn't cover a visit from July. This is important because now we are having the same issues. He sat back there till 5:30pm. They said his blood pressure was too high. Sent him out the door (at closing time) we were told they would call in a valum, again. THEY DID NOT!! 11-21 they took him at 7:25am. He walked out at 10:30am. Blood running down his chin on his shirt, dentures were coming out of his mouth, very swollen. 22 teeth pulled!! He had no aftercare instructions. Nothing to put the dentures in. Side note: we asked 3 times for instructions on what to do. They kept saying he will get the information when he is finished. The ride home looked like someone stabbed him in his mouth. Blood everywhere!! Horrific. I called when we got home to ask what to do. They said Bite down on gauze. They called at 6-ish pm to say they would call pain meds and an antibiotic. They called the wrong pharmacy. We couldn't get anything till the next morning. The dentures are the wrong size and don't fit. He can't wear them. 12-4 is a follow up appointment. Staff was apologetic. He was suppose to get aftercare instructions. A booklet a container. They noticed the problem immediately. They were cutting his gums and roof of mouth. They smoothed them out, put cushion in them. Made sure they were good. He did have a gap so they needed him to come back next day. 12-5, 4:30pm. Surgeon lady that pulled his teeth are back. She now says the dentures they just fixed are all wrong. She took the padding out, made them jagged again. They definitely don't fit now. She actually said, "these are trash, don't wear them" His mouth bleed again, the soft tissue that was forming over the bone is gone, she scrapped it off. Now he has no teeth at all!! We have to wait 3 more weeks for another impression. We have called corporate 3 times. They say they upgrade the ticket to the regional manager so he can call us back. We gwt transferred, hung up on. No one is calling us or helping us. My husband is a store manager. He deals with customer accounts, customers, management all day. He can't talk normal. He can only eat mushy or very soft foods. His mouth is all cut up again. We just got a bill today 12-7. We were charged an extra $939.20. FOR WHAT??? you guys got paid and we have no teeth!!! We put $1800 down. No anesthesia. Billing errors, 7 visits going on 8. 3 times for impressions. read more

I visited Aspen Dental for a routine semi-annual check-up and cleaning, and was shown a bill for over $3000 of completely unnecessary work they recommended (including a few hundred bucks for an electric toothbrush I didn't ask for). I shared this with my prior dentist in another city to get a second opinion, and he informed me of Aspen's reputation for exactly this type of thing. I visited another dentist six months later, and of course, required only a regular cleaning and no other work. Needless to say, prescribing unnecessary medical procedures is dangerous, unethical, fraudulent, and illegal. It's obvious that getting as much of your money as possible is the priority at Aspen. read more

Don't come here. this is easily the worst dental office I've ever visited. after coming to my scheduled appointment and waiting 30 minutes I finally asked the "receptionist " if there was a problem with my appointment and she said "I will check". so she comes back and says the hygienist isn't coming today. so they rescheduled me for the next week and I showed up 10 minutes early and waited over an hour. this place is a joke. do yourself a favor and find another office - like I am. and I'm sure I'll get some weak apology to my review saying they are "sorry i didn't have a positive experience." or some such rubbish. but looking at the other reviews nothing seems to ever get done about the service. again, don't come here. read more

They are overpriced for the services rendered. They ghost when you want to call to discuss a problem with billing. (Their system is down) They can tell you how much your bill is but cannot tell you what you were billed for. I called to reschedule my appointment because I was sick and could not get into the office by phone, when my appointment was approaching was texted to confirm my appointment and make a payment on my account, but could not reschedule. I could cancel but could not reschedule, had to call the office, and they were having a problem with the phone system (this I was told later by email after I kept trying to reschedule my appointment. I would not in my wildest dreams ever return to Aspen Dental read more

Terrible first experience with this office. Waited in the waiting room for 35 minutes with no updates from the Front Desk team and no one apologized. The Dentist finally saw me, and kept emphasizing "treatment plans" and asked if I had any questions repeatedly. Felt like a sales pitch. All I wanted was a routine cleaning. Then I had to meet with the Office Manager to go over billing for the cleaning. Never had to meet with an Office Manager at a Dentist in my lifetime. Again, this felt very much like a sale and not a medical office. The hygenist was EXTREMELY rough, I was fighting back tears the whole time. I told her I had sensitive gums, and yet I could see blood on her tools the entire time. She had me gargle water while leaning back in the chair (didn't elevate me) so I almost choked every time. The fluoride treatment at the very end was disgusting, almost like poison, and so sticky that my mouth felt stuck together. Usually they give you options for flavors, NOPE. Would not come back. Did not feel any efforts towards patient care. read more

I do not recommend having dental work done at the Hermitage branch of Aspen Dental. The Doctor, Dr. Williams, was extremely rude. The communication seems to be totally lacking. Patients seems to lack charts. They didn't know what procedures l was supposed to have, or what my visits were for. This is not a professional organization. I will not be back. read more

I went to this office in November of 2021 to have an extraction of a upper molar. The dentist I saw said he could take my tooth out with no problem. I told him my upper teeth were usually in my sinus which could cause problems. The dentist told me after looking at X-rays that they were not in my sinus. He also guaranteed he would have me numb. It was a horrible experience. I was never fully numb and he cut into my sinus. Later at home I began to throb. I went back the next day to let him look at it. I had a dry socket. He repackaged it. A few days later while gargling with salt water I had water come out my nose. Again I called them at Aspen and was told it was a normal thing. It never got well. I ended up with a hole through the gum to my sinus. I called a oral surgeon a friend had recommended and he looked at the mess I now had. He told me I should have been sent to a oral surgeon because of how low my sinuses were . He also said the dentist had taken too much bone out and I will not be able to ever have a implant. The oral surgeon told me having water coming through your nose was not normal. Since going to Aspen I have had two surgeries on my mouth and sinus with a graft to repair the hole. Thanks a lot Aspen. read more

This office actually gets zero stars, but I had to give one to post a review. Worst experience ever! Over an hour wait, talked to each other about me like I was not even in the room, didn't explain things, criticized my previous dentist's work, and were not even going to do the cleaning which is the only thing I made an appointment for. Then were upset I wouldn't make a 6 month appointment cause it effects their score. Um, you got a lot more to be worried about than that. I will say the woman who did my xrays was the only bright spot of the visit. read more

Went this morning to have a tooth looked at that has been causing me pain. I was taken back quickly and didn't wait long to see the doctor. The team they have at this office was amazing. They were so nice and friendly. Dr. Stanley was extremely nice and took time to explain things to me so that i fully understood what the issue was. I personally recommend this place. read more

I wish I could do zero stars. Worst dental office I have ever been to, I am still working on getting money back I am owed. The female Dentist who worked on my crown caused so much jaw pain my TMJ came back and I had multiple cuts under my tongue from how rough she was. Also, if you have an appointment at 4pm they will make you wait until 5:45 to see a doctor to then be told that they closed 15 mins ago and you have to come back another day. I live 35 minutes from this office, every single trip has been miserable and I am still dealing with a claim from back in November. Go to a smaller dental office, this corporate one has made me feel like I don't exist. read more

The WORST experience in my life! I scheduled an appointment and the woman was so nice and told me I could be seen the next day for an extraction of a broken tooth. I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment and waited 45 minutes to finally be seen. The staff is extremely nice and that's the only positive thing I have to say. Once I was taken back I had over a dozen x-rays, then I finally saw the dentist who stated everything I needed to have done. I explained I was there because I was told I could get the extraction done that day especially since I'm in extreme pain. She said that it might be possible for me to have the extraction but I needed to see the hygienist first. I'm still thinking I can get out of pain. Nope. The hygienist explained what all I needed to have done nothing about my extraction. I was then taken to see the office person to talk about prices. By this point I'm now in tears and I can't believe that I was expecting to get help and care yet I was told no not today. I'm in severe pain and I had such great hope I would be out of pain by now. I can NOT believe that this visit was a complete scam. Let me add that while I was in the chair I saw on their screen things that would be a HIPPA violation as well as they needed to make $604 more dollars that day to reach the "even" point. So heartbreaking, dumbfounded and stunned. Please do NOT waste your time here. read more

This was honestly the worst dental place I've ever been. I had a tooth that needed a root canal. I called before I went and they said they could do it that day. My appointment was at 1 but they messed up and told a patient their appointment was the same time as mine. So because that patient was upset they skipped me until 2:15. After I finally went back the made me do X-rays, a gingivitis test, and maybe 5 min of dental work. The dentist said I didn't have gingivitis but should go ahead be treated for it to prevent it from ever happening. They sent me to an office where they went on to tell me everything I needed was 5k plus(they were gonna bill me for a 200 tooth brush). I went to a local dentist about 2 weeks later had a root canal done and didn't cost me anything out of pocket. I felt like this place was a money scam. read more

I came in for my consult as the last appointment on their latest day. It was a great experience from start to finish. They got me back quickly, the assistant, hygienist, and dentist each took their time during their exams and were all SO NICE! Once I was finished, the financial coordinator took her time explaining my treatment plan and payment options. It was almost 8pm by the time I left and never felt rushed. I highly recommend this place! Update: I just had the absolute best periodontal cleaning with Kimber McNitt! I woke up dreading my appointment because I cannot stand getting the local anesthetic. Kimber recognized my anxiety and worked extra hard so that I didn't have to get any shots whatsoever! She is an angel and really made my day! read more

The WORST. Do not waste your time! Called and made an appointment over the phone for 3:15pm, was told to be there 15 minutes early for paperwork. Arrived at 3:00pm and there was another customer into an argument with the front desk over a scheduling mistake by the front desk. I sign in and then the lady at the front desk told me my appointment was actually for 1:30pm!? I told her that was incorrect and told her the exact conversation i had with the scheduler. She said i couldn't be seen unless i reschedule for a new day. No respect on their part. I politely declined and left. This place is a joke. read more

Couldn't believe it when I got an estimate for over 2000.00 worth of work needed. Granted I hadn't seen a dentist in a few years, but just needed a routine cleaning as I wasn't having any issues. I will NEVER go to ANY Aspen Dental again. After arriving to my appointment 15 minutes early as instructed, I then proceeded to sit there for an hour and a half. After waiting 90 minutes I finally decided to ask the receptionist what was going on. When asked she replied, "oh yeah... sorry we're busy. You can reschedule if you like".... After taking off work and wasting a chunk of my afternoon I will reschedule... just with an office that cares about the value of my time. read more

I was visiting from out of state and I developed a nasty toothache. I called Aspen Dental in the late afternoon and they squeezed me in at 9:30 the next morning. They did a full set of x-rays on my mouth, and a dentist came in to check my tooth and the x-rays. It turned out to be an abscess, so I got a prescription for a pain killer and an antibiotic. They printed a copy of the x-rays so I could bring them to my dentist when I got back home. All in all, an extremely positive experience! read more

First of all let me say I really liked the dentist as well as the dental assistant. They were so kind and hardworking and were able to help me with what I needed. Julie A. in the office is extremely rude and very unprofessional. She is as ugly in the outside as she is on the inside. She did not listen to me when I spoke to her on the phone and did not care about my needs. She also knew nothing about any dental questions I had and said "I don't know" to all of my questions. Second of all, I had a tooth that was bothering me and told them I was in extreme pain and could not sleep and they did not care at all. They said they could get me in, in two weeks and could not make any exceptions. When I came in my appointment was at 3:30 and they didn't see me until 4:45. I had to get a root canal and the soonest they could get me in was three weeks later so I decided to go to another location. The people working the phone are so unprofessional and aren't kind at all. My experience was horrible with the office. Aspen dental simply does not care about their patients and only cares about getting as much money as they can get out of you. They make you pay every time you come in for a consultation, then schedule another appointment to come back in, pay another consultation, and then make you pay for whatever procedure you get. It's a complete waste of time. read more

Literally had the worst dental experience of my life here. Came in for x-rays and a dental exam, after having made an appointment. I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes before they called me back, and watched multiple walk-in appointments go ahead of me. When they finally put me in the exam room, I waited ONE HOUR before the dentist even came to look at me. I kid you not, I had been waiting almost two whole hours, and then the dentist looked at me for less than five minutes and insisted that I had a handful of treatments that needed to be done immediately, and that I HAD to get my wisdom teeth removed ASAP at their location and with their surgeon. I was so overwhelmed with her prognosis, and then they sent me to the billing desk (where I waited some more) and I was told that my treatment would cost $5,000! Aspen Dental is a scam company and should absolutely be ashamed of themselves for trying to take advantage of their customers in this way. Read their reviews everywhere before you go here!!! Not worth it. read more

I was visiting the Nashville area from out of state when I developed a nasty tooth ache. I called Aspen Dental late in the afternoon and they squeezed me in at 9:30 the next morning. I got right in, had a full set of x-rays, and went to an examining room. Within ten minutes, I saw a dentist, who checked my x-rays and tooth, and told me I had an abscess. He gave me a prescription for a pain killer and an antibiotic. They also gave me a printed copy of my x-rays to take back to my dentist back home. All in all, a great experience! read more

So I have a chipped tooth that I needed repaired before a job interview next week. I called to schedule an appointment on Monday and they said the soonest they could see me was Friday and that was just for the exam and x-rays. That should have been my first warning. I got to the appointment more than 30 minutes early to take care of any paperwork beforehand. After almost an hour of listening to a guy in the waiting room talking about how they better give him pain pills for his infection in his mouth and 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment, the x-ray technician finally came to get me. She was super nice and she is the only thing positive about my experience. I had also repeatedly mentioned and asked about the likelihood of my ability to get my tooth repaired before said interview next week. When I finally saw the dentist, or should I say, she looked in my mouth, she said 2 words to me, 3 to the technician and left. I have never met a dentist so completely hands off. 2 hours after my appointment time, I was seated with a lady who told me the total cost would be over $5,000 and would I be interested in a payment option. I had to ask for an explanation of this "treatment" plan and when I had specifically stated I was just looking a composite fix for the chip for right now, she had to "consult" the dentist. I am less unhappy about the estimated cost as I am with the fact that that was a giant waste of my time. If a company has no desire to actually do any requested work, then just state you cannot or will not do it. But I'm sure that guy got the narcotics he was looking for. read more
