I had to return the denture because after 3 visits they still didn't fit. I put the dentures on my Care Credit account not realizing that they also put a cleaning on for the following year. They credited me for the denture, but not for the cleaning. I went to the dental office to ask them to credit it back to my Care Credit account. That didn't work. I called the main office in New York. That didn't work. I sent all the information registered mail to the main office in New York. I got a voicemail from the main office to call a number and the number was wrong . I called the main office again and was refered back to the dental office. I was so upset that this couldn't be taken care of and the women hung up on me. I would never go to any Aspen dental office again. And of course I will have to end up paying for a cleaning I never got!!!!! read more

BEWARE! I just got off of the phone with my insurer, delta dental. They have advised me to never go back for any services there....as they have been submitting fraudulent charges on my account for years, apparently. Double charging and charges for already included services. I went today for a regular cleaning and yearly check up and they tried to charge me $480. Then, after complaining, they brought it down to about $250. I left. Called Delta dental. My appointment should have been 100% covered. Someone needs to investigate this company. They up charge and try to get you to pay for services you don't need. I have always had very straight teeth. They suggested I get braces, scaling, and a medication not covered by insurance. At the end of my visit, after they told me I had all these deep pockets in my gums they have me a bill of $6000. I asked them to itemize it and saw they had the braces on it. I told the receptionist to take it off. That brought the bill to $2000. The bulk of that coming from a medicine called arestin, which was listed 14 times. I d climes their services and went to a periodontist who told me I didn't have deep pockets. I don't need the deep cleaning just a regular cleaning. Do NOT go to Aspen they are crooked. read more

UPDATE: Aspen dental reached out to me to rectify this issue. They were able to reschedule me and I received excellent service. I broke my molar. Had exam and Xrays.Thought about pulling it for $300-400. Decided to save it and have a Root Canal with crown for about $2700 after INS. Scheduled appointment Monday for that coming Friday, paid in advanced Out of Pocket $600+. Friday left work early. Arrived they tell me I cancelled the appointment! I have a vm on my cell from this morning asking me to call if I'm still coming in. I'm at work so I can't have my cell on me. THEY ASSUMED I WASN'T COMING AFTER THEY TOOK $600+ 4 DAYS BEFORE SO THEY DECIDED TO LEAVE EARLY! SO UNPROFESSIONAL! LIARS! WHO JUST LEAVES WHEN THEY HAVE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS?! Been a patient for at the Hanover location 2 years. Every time I go in there I feel like I'm buying a timeshare. High pressure sales and upselling. This is not the worst...went in recently with an immensely painful toothache, and was told by the dentist she could not help me and said I should see their endodontist or oral surgeon. Neither of these people were available. They were both on vacation, had no sub to cover them, and were going to be out of the office for another 10 days! If there was a minus rating I'd be giving that. Aspen Dental Hanover has been my worst experience in the medical field ever and, I'm old! They consistently cancel appointments. Consistently leave "sorry we have to reschedule your appointment please call our office". You call and they reschedule it for a month later and then you get the same message call and reschedule your appointment. When you call they can "get you in" 3 months from then. This happens every single time you're due for a cleaning, every single appointment. When they called today to reschedule my husband's for the 3rd time since December, they told him they'd "put his name on a list" because "they do not have a hygienist and can't seem to hire one. I'm writing to my insurance carrier and to the employer benefits department about this too. In addition, I will write to the dentist who "owns" that office and the group that purchased Aspen Dental. This is no way to treat patients. If you cannot do what your contract with the insurance carrier says you should do, you need to stop taking on new patients from that insurance carrier. Instead, you lie about appointments ALL OF THE TIME. It is really ridiculous! read more

The dentist and hygienist are capable and knowledge professionals. it's the integrity of the company that I would definitely questions. this Dentist is likely over charging for treatment and equally going against a recent MA OIG settlement that occurred in charges.. they supplied one treatment plan that was initially for circa $5k and then when challenged was then taken down to circa $2k. they Did not cross reference to applicable Billing Codes covered by Insurance policy. then when partnered with by Insurance company this office then sent in a different work order request and price. If Aspen Dental put a comment to inform that my information is incorrect I'm happy to 'black out my patient information' but share the copies of these 'work orders' in which created for Dental work to be performed on myself. Due to this challenge they then issued me a patient removal. Be very careful how you partner with this operation as they will definitely over charge. Challenge the office manager in terms of this created work plan and costs. However, she will not answer and then claim over worked and no support and will have regional manager call who responded three months later. It would be zero stars if able. read more

I have been coming to the Aspen Dental in Hanover for almost 2 years but I think it may be time to change dentists many times they call the day before or that day and say we have to reschedule again I understand things happen but it's almost like every other visit then it's the usual 15 or 20 minutes late one visit was for instance I had an appointment for 4:00 PM I get out of work at 2:30 P.M. I would be there @ 3:30 PM which would work good Aspen called me and said your 4:00 PM is now 4:15 PM I said okay no problem they called again later saying it's now 4:30 PM I mentioned I could come later they close at 6:00 PM and it would allow time for me to get something to eat etc, Aspen said no it will be 4:30 PM .....guess what they called again saying it's now going to be 5:00 PM I wanted to pull my hair out! Another time I was there for a cleaning he started the cleaning then went to two other patents while I stayed in the chair for 45 minutes waiting for him to come back I actually went looking for him...... read more

This horrible review is not for the dentist but for the office staff. I had an appointment which they canceled at the very last minute (I was already on my way to them when they called my home and left a message). When I arrived, I signed in and was ignored for another twenty minutes. When I asked what was going on, the office manager was very rude and claimed that they made several calls to me cancelling my appointment. When I said I had not gotten a call, she basically called me a LIAR by insisting they had and that I was wrong to be there. Of course, when I got home, I saw that there was a call from them, that hd come in less than 12 minutes from my appointment time. I am so angry at the gaslighting and rude treatment, that I am seeking another dentist as we speak. A huge apology is in order. I will NOT be treated in that manner by anyone. I walked away very disappointed and aggravated. I was told after I arrived late to an appointment, that I could still be seen but that I'd have to wait. I apologized, just happy that I could be seen and sat down to wait. After 1.5 hours, I was told that in fact the could NOT see me, and that I'd have to reschedule. All along the way, I received hostile looks, condescending attitude, and other basic rudeness from their front desk staff. I can't rank their dentists because I never made it that far. After receiving 4 texts the day before and the day of our appointment that stated " We are excited to see you today" I rushed to get my son to the appointment on time at 4 pm. We get to the office and the receptionist said their hygienist called in sick, and that she tried to call all day to reschedule. Well I received 4 texts from Aspen telling me they can't wait to see my son. BUT NOT 1 SINGLE PHONE CALL. She appeared to think it was funny and was a bit rude. I went to Aspen Dental for a Prophylaxis. I had my gums examined by the tech and was then told I needed the dentist to examine me at an additional cost. The dentist started his exam and the tech then shoved a paper in front of me showing an additional charge of $200 above the $150 I was already paying. I said I just wanted my teeth cleaned and the dentist said just do the Prophylaxis. The tech then flossed and polished my teeth. No scaling for plaque. In total it took her 15 minutes. I was stunned. As I checked out I was asked if I wanted to make an appointment to fill some cavities??? When I filled out a negative review for the company I checked the box requesting a response. 5 days later I have yet to get one so I called the Hanover Office I had gone to. A person answered the phone and I asked for the manager. I was told she was at lunch. I called back later and the same person answered the phone and said she was the manager LOL. I said you are the first manager I ever heard of who answers the phone. She then tried to convince me a prophylaxis was just a tooth polishing nothing more. I looked it up and here is he definition: a procedure that INCLUDES SCALING, DENTIST EXAM , POLISHING and FLOSSING. That is what I am used to receiving when I go for a CLEANING which usually talks like 40 minutes and costs $150. I only received flossing and a polishing at Hanover Aspen Dentthat took all or 15 minutes. I feel this business try's to UPSELL you and trap you with additional surprise costs. When I checked it, they tried to charge me $44 for an ounce of fluoride. I asked why they give adults fluoride and they didn't really have an answer. So I asked the dental hygienist and she said since my gums were in good condition, I didn't need it. I'm puzzled as to why they tried to charge me for it when I walked in the door. For reference I called my previous dentist (who I LOVE: Artistic Dentistry in Hanover... I had to change because of insurance) anyway, they said they don't give fluoride to anyone over 18 which seems like the norm. It is also super annoying that you have to make 2 appointments to start, you see the dentist and then have to come back for a cleaning. This is a huge waste of time. Stay away from this location ! Truth be told they do an excellent job with prosthodontics (dentures). I went in because I was having tooth pain. The hygienist did a great job with the evaluation and xrays. She further went on to try an upsell me a cancer screening and antibiotic spheres for a periodontal cleaning, and wasn't pushy when I opted not to go with add ons. The dentist came in and evaluated the tooth in question and detailed other work that should be done. I scheduled an extraction of the tooth, which they had me pay for in advance ( I get that). This office is run like a car dealership, when you start to questions Sales, they send in a manager. I was able to point out, that since my dental insurance was a ppo they could not charge me more than the agreed upon rate. All that is ok, I get the business model. Fast forward one week, (their oral surgeon is only there once per month) I arrived 10 minutes early, and was called into the surgery and seated. Signed the consent forms etc. The Doc came in and painfully shot me full of novacaine. no topical numbing here, just straight in. I did get numb, but not in the desired area. ( The Doc was moving between me and a patient across the hall whose implants came loose) he started to probe the area and I advised him, I was not numb. He gave me another painful injection. 10 minutes later, he came back in, probed again, I shot up in agony, again telling him I was not numb. His response was the tooth was "hot". We agreed that general sedation was the way to go. He said he would see me in a month! I indicated I was willing to travel he booked me for the Plymouth locaton for the following Tuesday. Back to sales for checkout was informed that they needed to $273 for the next visit....I asked why, the response was It would be a second fee for a second visit, even though nothing had been accomplished in the 1st visit. I did a rapid review of what was occurring, opted to take my xray and go elsewhere. I Went to Dr. Branca in Duxbury the next day, he numbed me without pain or incident, and had the tooth out in minutes. no upsell no hot wax or interior protection, because sales isn't his business. The staff at Aspen offered no resistance to my leaving, they could have cared less. read more

Dr Saleem, Kimberly, and the rest of the staff at Aspen in Hanover ROCK!!!! I went in October to have my bottom teeth extracted and to get lower dentures. I ended up having complications and my gums weren't healing and had painful bone fragments that kept growing up as fast as they were removed. I was sent to an oral surgeon and found out I had Osteomyelitis in my upper jaw after having a CAT scan and biopsy. I had to undergo months of treatment including 6 weeks of daily IV antibiotic therapy in the hospital, and 20 daily sessions in a hyperbaric chamber. Through all of this, Dr Saleem called me regularly to check up on me and see how I was doing. Then, when it came time to replace my bottom teeth, Dr Saleem informed me that since I had gone through so much hell, he'd spoken to the business office, and gotten me my replacement uppers at no cost!!!! :) My teeth came out absolutely amazing! I've been told that they look like natural teeth and people can't tell they are dentures. My last uppers were done by a "Private, exclusive" dentist, and they didn't look half as good. Great job Dr Saleem and staff, you're the best!!!!! read more

Went in for an emergency appointment for a broken tooth. They did a new patient appt and I was there for almost 2 hours and they did nothing for my broken tooth and had me make another appointment to have it extracted. The only evening appointment they had was 2 weeks later, which I took. I'm 8 months pregnant and my tooth is killing me. The day of my appointment they text me that they need to cancel because they don't have a doctor that night anymore. I ask them to call another office because I've been waiting for this appt for 2 weeks and can't wait anymore. They call me back and tell me they can't see me at all because they "just realized my tooth that needs to be pulled is a wisdom tooth and I need a referral to an oral surgeon". I haven't had wisdom teeth for 10 years. Apparently their doctors don't know how to read xrays, even though they booked the appointment 2 weeks ago knowing what tooth needs to be pulled. Went to a different aspen dental who read my xrays and were so confused on how the Hanover office thought it was a wisdom tooth. Do not go here because they are incompetent. read more

Was seen in Cincinnati Ohio Glenway Ave office. Called them two weeks in advance for appointment explaining that I would need dental work done that day if it can't be completed please don't wastemy time I'll keep looking "oh yes we do that all the time for patients" made work arrangements to be off went to appointment expecting to be pain free and able to eat again in near future, NO before I could catch my breath took me into finance office after being pressured reluctantly agreed to a loan at 0% interest since the other two were 20%. After having me sign the papers they inform me that I have to wait a month it was on November 25th that I saw denist the oral surgeon isn't until December 23rd. Do not believe their lies Their extremely high in their pricing and I left in pain. Call back down there to try to see if I could see oral surgeon at another office and apparently he doesn't work everyday. So I guess I wont be eat Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners with my family since it's Thanksgiving now and my teeth hurt and I can't eat and then they're going to do the dental work 2 days before Christmas and I won't be able to eat then do not go to these quackery doctor find you a good dentist don't make the mistake I made from being in pain not thinking straight because they take your money in this case over $2,000 so they "can get started" they do this so you have no choice but to allow them to do your needed dental work. Went to aspen dental in Hanover twice; once for 'emergency' dentistry. First time (in 2012) i had no insurance. We agreed on a price for a crown. The procedure was done in 2 days. Second time I made an appt for a cleaning (now have dental insurance). They took X-rays, then saw 'someone' who looked into my mouth and told me what procedures I needed. I told them that my appt was for a cleaning and and they told me I had to make an appt for a cleaning! Huh? Then they make you wait to see the 'collect as much $ as you can from their patients' guy. He was referred to as their finance person. I did not like that I had to wait 20 minutes after not getting the cleaning I had requested. I did make another appt to have a tooth fixed. Every time I went there they did new 'tests' WHICH I NEVER ASKED FOR!, and charged my insurance company! Also told me of additional procedures that I must have! I had ONE crown done and then was informed that all my insurance $$ for that year was used up. The also assured me that I would owe them nothing. Meanwhile I had never rec'd a cleaning! Of course they billed me, I called repeatedly, was told it would be corrected, and then got a bill from a collection agency! STAY AWAY from Aspen! read more

Staff at check in were very friendly. I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment to fill out new patient paperwork and then sat there for almost an hour. I asked how much longer and was told less than 10 minutes. The hygienist came out soon after and spoke with me. She was also very friendly but informed me that it would be another hour before I would be out of the office after X-rays and seeing the dentist. This would bring my total time there to almost 2 hours which I find totally unacceptable. I had scheduled the appointment due to some discomfort and left without ever seeing anyone. Coming to this office is one of the best decisions I ever made. Dr. Zain was very understanding about how nervous I was and she was wonderful with everything she did to me. My husband broke a tooth on a Friday afternoon. The only place that had an opening was Aspen Dental in Hanover. They told him he needs a root canal and a crown and that he also needed to have scaling done because he had gingivitis (which my husband does think he has). They didn't do anything for the broken tooth but took tons of xrays and told him to call back on Monday to get the pricing for everything. He called Monday and was told the root canal would be about $1,700, crown about $1,100 and the scaling for all 4 quadrants about $1,000. So total is just under $4,000. Someone at my work told me about a dental discount plan you could buy online and use at Aspen Dental. So I called Aspen and they said they took the plan. We purchased the discount card. My husband called the next day with the card number and somehow the starting cost before the discount went up to over $4,700. How did it increase by more then $700?? Complete scam. AND they wouldn't let him schedule the root canal over the phone. They wanted him to come in person to schedule it and pay for it up front. My first visit there 2 years ago was perfect and flawless everything went well. This visit was aweful. They gave me an rx for an antibiotic even tho they knew I was allergic to that Rx. Then the second one they gave me was ineffective when I called them back to ask them what else we can try it took an entire day 8 hours of arguing and finally calling there corporate office to get an rx for another antibiotic ! Dr. Sagar is wonderful! I have never felt more comfortable or relaxed when going to the dentist. The office staff and dental assistants are great too! I have only been a patient since sept 2012. They have given me my smile back and and I couldn't ask for better treatment. When i have called for an appointment I have always been given same day appointments! When i was in pain after treatment, They took care of it....I am greatful to everyone there. I have read others comments about this place and I can't understand why some are unhappy with Dr. sagar and the staff. I am glad i went and I am NO longer affraid of the dentist. read more

Great for cleanings (if they remembered to turn the sterilizing equipment on the night before...) but stay away from the dentist herself, she is THE most incompetent "professional" I have ever encountered. From numbing the wrong side of my mouth (twice) to having a minor cavity fixed only to need a root canal a month later because of sloppy dentistry. B.t.w. how come dentist are not liable for doing a bad job? Free x-rays as a new patient is a great way to rope you in but you'll get a whole list of things you should have fixed a.s.a.p. costing many, many $$$ and oh, you'll need a new tooth brush; guess what sold right here at Aspen dental $200+. Seriously, get a second opinion if you do decide to go here (you shouldn't!), have the work they tell you you need asap isn't necessarily at all or at least isn't urgent (time for your insurance to catch up with your real needs). I don't know if this isn't enough to deter you from going to this dentist go see for yourself but make sure you talk to the dentist, ask her some random question and see if she "understands". Called with an emergency broken tooth. In pain and the tooth was cutting into my cheek. Could "squeeze" me in to look at the tooth but wouldn't be able to do any procedure. What good is that? I need it taken care of right away. I've been there previously knowing I needed a root canal. They told me it would cost about $4k - that would be MY out of pocket cost... and I have insurance!!!! Found another dentist who did the root canal for about $300... unfortunately he wasn't available when I broke my tooth. I'll find someone else. AVOID ASPEN DENTAL!!! I would make every effort to stay away from here.. Basically my story goes as follows.. I went into to Aspen in Hanover for a basic checkup. I was told I needed two fillings.. I returned over the next two days to have the work done. First one was a success. The second one, well not quite. I was seen by a shaky women who was clearly right out of dental school. While they were doing my filling the dentist and the hygienist were talk bad about the regular dentist who had called in sick. I would soon realize why.. While during the filling the women clearly did not not fully what she was doing. The tool for the drill broke off in my mouth. Well she got her way through it, I went home and awaited the novacane to wear off. The next day I wake up and go to eat my breakfast and experienced the most awful pain while chewing.. I waited a few days, assuming it was normal.. It did not go away.. I called the office and set up a appointment to be seen. I called the office that day to confirm the time of my apt. and was told they were closing early today. I complained that I was in a lot of pain and would not accept waiting another day, as I had already setup an apt. and rearranged my entire schedule to make it there for some relief. They waited for me and as I walked in you could just fell the tension from everyone. Like I was a huge inconvenience to them all. As I am seen by the detist after getting xrays done, she is complaining that she has a cold and needs to go home, and asked if I could come back.. I refused as I am in a ton of pain and my work schedule does not allow me to make it during their business hours. She re did the filling.. I go home and the next day, SAME pain as before while chewing followed with intense sensitivity. I cannot even drink a cold glass of water without experiencing pain. I call back and they see me the following day. They too an xray and was told there is nothing wrong and they could not do anything for me. I mean serious? I left and waited a few days for the pain to just go away as they said it would.. It never did.. I went to another reputable local dentist who told me the fillings were never done correctly, he re did them and now I am 100% pain free finally.. The kicker of it all is that now they have sent me bill for $145.60 claiming the fillings were not completely covered.. I called my insurance company who disagrees, they are following up with ASPEN to find out what the deal is.. That is my horrible experience with Aspen Dental Hanover..
