Called them because my dentist is closed on the weekend and I had a filling fall out that needed fixed. I explained this on the phone. They told me I had to get the xrays I had taken 2 days prior which I went through the trouble of getting and then proceeded to take their own anyway. The xray tech was nice so theres the one star for her. The dentist who was not friendly at all proceeds to tell me I need $4,000 worth of crowns and fillings lol. I was just at my dentist he said I needed some fillings and it would be $600. They also proceeded to refuse to fix the filling which was why I was there stating it needed a crown. I literally walked out while she was trying to schedule me for $4,000 worth of work. This place is a complete SCAM and should be shut down. I should send them a bill for completely wasting my time. Go literally anywhere else. Update: Got into my dentist last week and they fixed the lost filling no problem, no crowns needed. Shameless place. read more

Made an appointment online for a normal checkup because I haven't been in 2 years. Waited 20 mins even though my appointment was at 11 am wasn't called back until 11:20. First Lady was nice, took my x rays like normal. She brings me to the dental chair and tells me to have a seat to wait while the dentist finishes doing a surgery. Wait another 20 minutes to see the dentist. He comes and does a 30 second checkup. Tells me I have nothing wrong with my teeth and they're in very good condition. Recommends I have a deep cleaning anyways. Tells me I can't have a cleaning same day because I booked online and I'll have to come back. Talk to the ladies when I go to leave to schedule for the next day and they tell me the price. They wanted to charge me $400 for the cleaning. Shopped around the area and other places are charging $100 without insurance, and it's free with insurance. Complete scam and will never return here again read more

Get ready to be told all of your teeth have cavities, you need root canals and that your teeth are going to fall out if you don't get a deep cleaning!!!! But then I went to a family dentist and was told I only had a couple cavities, needed one root canal (compared to the three I was told I needed. Not only did my family dentist verify this but an endodontist did too.) Overall, my teeth are in good health. The same thing happened with my husband and lots of friends. They use a scare tactic when they evaluate you. Then they immediately sit you down and go over loan options with you and try to book your appointment. $13,000 of work they told me I needed. I don't know why dentistry is such a gray area of the medical field and can tell you to have things done that aren't medically needed. If you have gone here, please seek another opinion from a family dentist. I tried to leave a review on their actual Aspen Dental page because I thought the reviews seemed to high and was unable to do so. YOU ARE BETTER OFF CALLING CASE WESTERN RESERVE AT 216-368-3200 I called the fairview as a previous patient because I had an old filling fall out and was in pain. She told me she could squeeze me in by 11 am, so I rearranged everything to get there within 45 minutes. They get me in take x-rays of my mouth for an hour, tell me everytbing that's wrong with my whole mouth, charged me $120 for it, meanwhile the assistant is counting down his last day in the office and telling me how much he cant wait to go home and just spend his weekend at home, and then let me know the doctor has to take a lunch and the only appointment time they have is at 2:30 to fix my actual problem. Let me also add that the dentist kept complimenting my previous dentists work. Like he was so impressed by my previous root canals??? Like is that a rarity for you? Idk. All Im saying is that these people will waste your time, take your money, and not help you. Don't make the same mistake I did or you'll end up with a stupid pile of papers and less money and not have your problems truly addressed or fixed. read more

One star is a crime to give this place. I went to Aspen Dental because they are an "emergency dentist" due to severe pain a cavity was giving me. I went in, they did X-rays, told me I had 4 cavities, and told me they couldn't fix the tooth until a week later. Didn't give me any pain meds or anything. I get my tooth fixed, everything is fine until about 2 weeks later that same tooth is killing me. I call them to get an appointment and they can't get me in for a few days, even though it's the tooth they messed up. I go to a different dentist, find out I had ZERO cavities and to top it all off, they lied about how deep my cavity was and destroyed my nerve. So now I may have to get a root canal and crowns. Now here is the pretty cherry on top! Someone opened a credit card in my name and spent hundreds of dollars, shooting down my credit score. Well what do you know? Due to a data breach at ASPEN DENTAL! Suffering from tooth pain for a few more days is better than ever having to go and deal with this place. It's a scam and a joke. Stay far away from this place. Get a second opinion if they say you need a bunch of dental work. I have always taken great care of my teeth. The only work I have had done was my wisdom teeth removed and my regular cleanings. I am new to the area and I made an appointment for a cleaning at Aspen Dental. Imagine my surprise when they don't even conduct the cleaning, they want to charge me over $100 for some special antibiotic cleaning (and come back for that) because my mouth and gums we're supposedly in really bad condition. They also told me I needed a root canal. All and all they were quoting me over a thousand dollars worth of dental work. I was skeptical of everything that they told me because I know there's no way my teeth were in that bad of a condition, possibly I needed a root canal, but I wasn't in any pain, so I decided to get a second opinion. I told the dentist up front I was told I needed a root canal in my last molar. While reviewing the x-rays he asked who told me I needed a root canal because there's nothing wrong with my teeth. He said everything is completely healthy, including my gums and he's not sure why the recommendation a special antibiotic cleansing treatment. Thank God I went for a second opinion because I would have ended up getting unnecessary dental work. My only guess is they try to charge people as much money as they can, even if that means they have to lie about their condition. Sickening. read more

The one star review over the zero star review I'd prefer to give is because the staff at this location is very nice and I think they do their best to treat their patients right. They are always very apologetic and kind. However, the systems in place here are truly terrible. They have cancelled appointments without telling us on two separate occasions, changed appointment times the morning of scheduled appointments, and we consistently wait 30+ minutes to be seen. The final time was the last straw, as they cancelled my appointment without telling me and then pushed back the time of my rescheduled appointment without telling me. I've never experienced service like this through any healthcare provider and we will no longer be using Aspen Dental. read more

Biggest scam ever. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I wrote a review previously but I had to come back and write another because I'm baffled right now. When I went to Aspen, they told me I had signs of gingivitis and pre periodontal disease. It scared the hell out of me and of course they offered something ridiculously expensive to "fix it". New hygienist here...I was sad because I liked my old one so much. The new guy is great! He explains everything, talks to you the whole time and doesn't expect you to answer while he Is working in your mouth. I do take time to care for my teeth so cleanings are easy and painless. I had pain and haven't been in a dentist in a while, so I was a full check-up and a cleaning. They checked the side that had pain, but not all my teeth and dos not clean my teeth, but said I had to pay for a specialized cleaning, which I never had to do ever. This place went completely downhill after Dr D left. The office staff and assistants are nice people but the dentists are awful. I needed a simple filling behind a veneer that I have had for years and the dentist completely ruined the veneer. When I went back to complain, I waited 45 minutes before anyone saw me and they immediately agreed to reimburse me because they could see the veneer needs to be completely replaced. I would have told them they needed to do that but I don't trust them. So now I will have to pay for a replacement veneer which will be 5 times the amount it cost for a simple filling. Beware of the business office! The salesperson will give you a care plan that is NOT itemized. Little do you know you are paying for a "recommended" $200 electric toothbrush, amongst other prescription rinses that are all on top of cleaning charge. I also had to correct her to say I was NOT getting a cavity treated, only a filling replaced. . Otherwise else she would have charged me for that too. Because I could advocate for myself, I brought my service down $400 and probably should have fought for more. This office is terrible. They will reschedule your appointments constantly. As with other reviewers I was told I needed a root canal and a special deep cleaning when I didn't. I had the root canal done, and have been in far more pain since then than I ever was before I walked into this office. They push extra services you do not need. Please get a second opinion or it will end up costing you A LOT of money for sub par care. I visited Aspen at westgate mall to have 3 fillings done. I was hesitant before I went cause I thought it's gonna be painful, but my cavities were getting bigger and I knew I had to do something about it.. The experience was great thanks to dr J, I did not suffer any pain or sensitivity after the procedure and I can chew and eat normally on the very next day!!!
