The sweet woman working the front offered me ointment and bandaids when she saw me and didn't make me feel embarrassed! I was a first time patient so I had x-rays done and mentioned I had very sensitive teeth. My dentist and dental assistant were very sweet, professional and gentle with my teeth! Because I always feared dentists, I take excellent care of my teeth and go for a check up at least once a year. Even though my teeth are in good condition, I decided to look into alignments. I found Aspen on line. Made an appointment, answered the questions including if I had insurance which i replied No. Aspen immediately blew up my phone with emails and texts asking me to call with my insurance info. I did call, I told her that I did have insurance but I know this won't be covered. She then confirmed my appointment and asked if I was in pain. I told her I was coming in for alignment consult and she asked what else I needed. I need a dental place that listens and believes what I say. I found Aspen Dental because they were the only office open on Saturday. From my first visit, everyone was nice and friendly. It didn't matter who was helping me on that day. I have been helps by Alonso, Bee, Chelsea, Dr Jeffries and plenty of others including the hygienists (I had 2 different hygienists). I always felt welcomed and comforted through all my visits. I brag about how amazing they are to all my coworkers and my wife. They are the only place I will be visiting regularly for my dental work. You all are the best! read more

It was my first time going to aspen dental I made a appointment a week early. When I arrived everything was normal checking in and finished the survey. Mind you I had a appointment at 8:00 am I got there early. I waited one hour and they didnt attend me. There was a lady suffering in pain for a emergence tooth pain and didn't help her. My experience with Aspen Dental in Citrus heights was a nightmare. The dental work was fine but the partial that was made never fit well, even after several adjustments. Dr Jeffries at the last adjustment said the partial had been cut back so much that it would not be stable. It cut into my gums and destroyed the left tori causing infection that required antibiotics. No offer to remake the partial or reimburse was ever made, other than the printed quarantee, with the requisite fine print which negates the bold print come-on "guarantee". After attempts to resolve with Tarah, Citrus Heights office manager, and contacting Aspen Dental Customer Service, with no help offered, I went to another dentist and had them make a proper fitting denture at my expense, $907. This one is working out fine. "An unmatched guarantee If you're not happy with your dentures, we'll make them right, or you'll get your money back. It's that simple." Or is it? Read the fine print "The Denture Money-Back Guarantee applies to all full and partial dentures and covers the cost of the permanent denture(s) only. Additional adjustments may be offered prior to refund. The guarantee period begins upon insert of final denture or hard reline and refund request must be submitted within 90 days thereafter. Denture(s) must be returned within 90 days after refund request date." I suggest you do your due diligence and read the fine print, which I failed to see. The guarantee states "ALL full and partial dentures" and then negates that statement by next saying "permanent dentures only". Legal double speak, it can't be ALL if it doesn't cover ALL. read more

I had my upper plate repaired yesterday. Not only did it cost $8 less than a repair 6 years ago, but they fixed a big flaw the other dentist left. 02/04/2025 I had a tooth extracted at this dental clinic. I came here for the first time and trusted Google advertising. By 7:30 am my appointment was scheduled, they took a lot of pictures, provided a plan for $ 24,000 for other teeth. I warned that I was in severe pain and would like to start treating the tooth that hurts as soon as possible. They rescheduled my appointment for 2 pm, I arrived, they gave me anesthesia, the doctor and his assistant left the office and forgot about me for 15 minutes. I began to feel that the anesthesia was already wearing off, I called the assistant and they remembered about me. They injected another dose of anesthesia. I felt sick, the doctor was not embarrassed, he extracted my tooth and after that I felt very dizzy. They did not know what to do and gave me soda with chips. I felt terrible. that day, pus appeared in my tooth and after the weekend I went to them for a prescription for antibiotics. They charged me $35! for an examination that was not there. Because of the incompetence of their dentist, I got pus in my gum and they brazenly take money from me! Avoid this place, friends. read more

I came here last year for an extraction and it went smooth. This year I have insurance so I came back and am getting "the works". Everyone from front end, hygienist, assistant, to doctor and even office manager are great. The doctor and assistant are phenomenal! They make you feel at ease and are always kind. I had work done in March of 2024. I payed up front the total amount due for the procedure. I asked if my insurance was accepted and was reasured my insurance would cover the rest. A month later I received an additional bill for almost $500. They said they made a mistake in confirming my coverage. Horrible service. Do not use them. I have heard a lot of people going through the same thing. I think they do this to get you to pay more out of pocket. read more

I can't review their dental care, because I never got that far. Make sure before you go in that they have all your correct information. They were listed under Delta Care USA as a provider, but apparently do not take that insurance. Had their telephone communication system allowed for the people at the actual office to gather information and receive messages, this could have been avoided. I left a review about how basically the secretary Terra just blew me off when I made an appointment and I tried to understand that they don't take late appointments, but when she hung up on me, I found that very disrespectful. I erased the previous message because the owner contacted me and I thought that was a nice gesture. Well, I called Aspen dental again, another secretary, I do not have her name but I believe she's from the Placerville answering service scheduled appointment telling me that I could come in on Thursday, which is today at 5 PM drove 40 minutes and once again was blown off. I know it wasn't terrace fault but I would not recommend Aspen dental, I was in a lot of pain and basically got blown off and I understand that they don't wanna work late but they should not make appointments that they cannot keep especially after I drove 40 minutes and left work early. My wife needed new dentures; we chose Aspen Dental because we travel all across the country. She had her first appointment at the end of July 2021 and at that time we paid our share after the insurance. Then the nightmare begins! - Drove several times to Citrus Heights Office, which was 1 hour one way, to be told they were behind we could reschedule after setting in the waiting area for two hours. - Drove once to Citrus Heights to be told by the dentist that she would not see me because my medicines were not in the computer......after I had been waiting two hours.....I had been there before and saw the dentist and it wasn't an issue! - Office closed for awhile and we got sent to Elk Grove Office were the dentist was rude and had no people skills at all. The new bottom dentures had broken and had to be remade. - We paid for the upper dentures to be made and continued to come once a week through August and September. While they worked on the bottom dentures repairs - I checked with our dental insurance and they never ran it through them even though they said they did. It took me over 5 weeks and several phone calls to get them to submit it to the insurance and refund my money to me. - My wife's new dentures have broken at a minimum of 4 times. She has had two sets of dentures remade. - In a 6 month time frame we have averaged a visit to Aspen Dental at least once a week. When Citrus Heights reopened with a new dentist in October we went back there. My wife loves the new dentist and staff that is there now! They are very customer service oriented and focused on customer satisfaction! Sonny, the dental technician, was impeccable throughout the whole process! The District Manager for Aspen Dental in this area of California was contacted by me when the insurance issue arose and was of no help. The Patient Satisfaction Team helped resolve the insurance issue! Bottom line......you will enjoy the new dentist and staff at Citrus Heights and hopefully you won't have the nightmares we had! read more

I needed an emergency dentist to get me in. My wisdom teeth were causing me severe pain. They got me in and taken care of with no problem, they were so kind and helpful. I'm absoutely terrified of the dentist, to the point where I refused to go. I am so glad I decided to go here. Everyone including the manager went out of their way to help me feel comfortable while I had 3 teeth pulled!!! I found my new dentist. If you are thinking about going here, you should!! I NEVER leave bad reviews but the customer service here was unacceptable. They are Unorganized and rude! Someone very unprofessional called me at 2:45 P.M to confirm my 4:00 appointment and hung up on me. I took off work early and drove 45 mins to get there only for the careless front desk women to tell me the doctor left early for the day and she'd sent out text messages. Which clearly i didn't receive or i wouldn't have been there!! That is Not the professional way to inform of a cancellation anyway.. Rightfully upset i explained to her that i got off work early and came and she only had to say back " i understand that".. No offer to reschedule..no empathy at all!! not to mention the person who called to confirm should probably be aware that the doctor left early!!! Last dental service was on Oct 17, 2022... This dental office was suggested by someone else and was close to us, so we gave them a try. Since retiring some years ago, I no longer have dental insurance. This should not have been a problem. My ex-employer provides excellent benefits -- even in retirement. Every year, they give me a generous Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) to be drawn from. My ex-employer is very strict, though, and needs documentation in a certain format before it authorizes a reimbursement. At my first appointment, I told Aspen Dental that I would need documentation in the right format to be reimbursed. I had a description from my ex-employer of what was needed. The person I talked to at Aspen Dental was unconcerned, and implied this was nothing to worry about. (My ex-employer is a well-known, large company, and in the S&P 500. I was not too concerned. Certainly Aspen Dental should know how companies like mine wanted documentation!) The first appointment was at no cost, although X-rays were done. At my second appointment, a deep cleaning (aka scaling) on the left side was done. I gave Aspen Dental a check to pay for this procedure a couple days earlier. At both my first and second appointments, I was impressed with the dental professionals. The dentist and dental hygienists seemed qualified and competent. At the end of the second appointment, Aspen Dental gave me the documentation I would give to my ex-employer. It did not seem to be in the right format, but I still submitted it for reimbursement. As I suspected, it was rejected. I went back to Aspen Dental and asked if they could provide me documentation in an acceptable format. They told me they could not, and suggested that if there was something else that my ex-employer wanted, I could write a note. I told the Aspen Dental person that my ex-employer would not accept that. But it may be acceptable if Aspen Dental could write a short letter with their address and phone number, saying I had this specific work done to fix this specific problem at their office on this specific date, and I had paid them in full this specific amount. I was told this was not possible. So my ex-employer could not reimburse me for Aspen Dental's work. I then went to another dentist, and had more X-rays, and the second half of my deep cleaning done. I also told this new dentist that my reimbursement could be a problem. They told me they would not leave me hanging like Aspen Dental did. But there was no problem this time: my new dentist gave me acceptable documentation, and I was quickly reimbursed. Also, this new dentist charged one-sixth of the price! Why should deep cleaning the left side cost 6 times as much as the right? My recommendation to the dental professionals at Aspen Dental is to either find a better employer or go independent. Aspen Dental is the problem -- possibly along with the person I talked to, who served as liason between the company and its patients. I had no problem with the actual dental workers. These professionals deserve an employer who is as competent as they are. I cannot recommend Aspen Dental. Their services are grossly overpriced, and they do not care about customer service after they are paid. read more

BEWARE!! This office has itself listed as an authorized provider for Kaiser Permanente Advantage Plus Dental Insurance, thru Delta Care USA. They Do not accept this insurance at this office !!!!!!!!!!!! I signed up for this insurance effective 1-1-23. I received all the confirmations as well as instructions on how to access dental care thru Delta. An authorized dental provider list was included. This Aspen office on Greenback Ln. as well as the one on Gateway Blvd, are listed in the directory. I called Aspen at the beginning of Jan to ask some questions and a customer service rep gave me an appointment in Feb. I gave her all the information regarding my insurance as well as the type of care I was seeking. She assured me there would be no problem. In the middle of Jan, I called to confirm my appointment time and to ask if I needed to bring any additional information for my appointment other than my insurance card. I was then told this office does not accept my insurance, I called Delta Care. I was assured they are listed as an authorized provider but were not accepting new patients???? I called Aspen Dental back and related what I was told by Delta. The customer service rep told me they were accepting new patients but at their regular prices and that they did have payment plans???? I disputed this information and was told the office manager, Tara, would call me back that day. No one called. On 1-25-23 I called again and asked why the manager had not returned my call, as promised. I was told she would call me back. About an hour later I received a call from "Tara". She basically just repeated the information, that they were accepting new patients but did not accept my insurance. However, if I was willing to pay their regular pricing, they would be happy to accept me as a new patient. I asked her how they came to be listed in the Delta Care Directory and she said she did not know, to call Delta Care. She also said that there would be many Dentists listed in the Delta Care Directory but that only meant the insurance company would "allow: me to go to one of them. It did not mean the insurance would be accepted. Seriously---- ??? Delta Care just picks names at random out of the yellow pages and sticks them in their directory ??? Really ??? And Tara knows this to be a fact ??-- I do not think so!!!!! Something is going on here that is highly suspicious !! Needless to say, I cancelled the appointment and will not be going to Aspen Dental or any company that has to use tactics, like these herein described, in order to lure patients in and then try to switch them to paying more money. BEWARE - CITRUS HEIGHTS LOCATION CLOSED TEMPORARY (ALL AUGUST) - have taken my money and stopped communicating I got a call earlier that for the 3rd or 4th time in a row that my appointment was postponed. I had a care plan to create a partial dentures. When we agreed on the plan a few months ago aspen asked if i wanted to (Pre-pay) my total care amount - Which I did- over $4,000 out of pocket. Now the office is closed and I have not been contacted to finish the care plan or refund my money. UPDATE 8/11 Spoke with Customer Service @Aspen - they have promised to make restitution - I will leave this review up until the money is returned. *Hopefully* the business will not close however at this time they have no dentist and are closed until September... I am VERY unsatisfied with the office staff here. My husband and I are double covered and on my husbands first visit they told him it would be 3000.00 for his deep cleaning and they needed to verify my insurance coverage to make sure he is covered. The office staff said they would contact him, nothing again from the office. Then he has a broken tooth that has been causing him pain and needs to be extracted and since he is already established there, I called myself on 10.26 to schedule him an appointment spoke with a Maroslava in the office she said first available appointment after 3 was 11.08.2022 @ 4pm I said I will take it, and we need make sure his secondary insurance is in his chart. Of course the main goal of a business is making profit however, they should NOT be all about money money money!!! If you go there, they will TRY VERY HARD to sell their additional services that insurance does not cover and make you feel like you are about to die if not taking care of your teeth asap. In fact, my new dental office did not have that comment and my teeth don't even need a deep clean or special treatment as Aspen Dental suggested me!!! what did that mean?! My husband was the same thing but he does need deep clean, they charge almost $900+ for the deep clear and that was ok with us, but the thing is that they took him in right away verse me waiting for 1.5 hours for waiting for a checkup which was coved by my insurance and I did not have to pay any penny to them. read more

First let me say I really liked this dentist at first. Problem came with payment. The office manager suggested I use Credit Care to pay for the work I needed because my insurance only covered about half. She said I would not have to worry because it would cover all the work I needed. Things were great until my last visit where I was told I needed to pay $240 because we had went into a new year (January) and something about my deductible. I told the receptionist it was already paid for and she said they would check on it and to go ahead and get the service. I continued to get a bill and when I called about it they always said someone would get back to me. They never did and now the bill is in collections. Do not trust these people when they say everything is paid for. Too bad they turned out to be untrustworthy when it comes to payment because the dentist was awesome.
