Everything was very clean upon move in, and the neighbors were all very friendly. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff as well. The property managers were friendly, responsive, and fixed the few technical issues we had on our side. I was also very impressed with the maintenance staff. We had to put in an emergency maintenance request at one point, and the staff was there within an hour. The whole issue was resolved that weekend. If the rent doesn't scare you away, I would say anyone would be more than happy here. And downtown Northampton was great to have so close by.

What even? They pay someone who threatens your pet? This apartment complex used to be full of families, quiet, and the rent was reasonable. My neighbors and I are quickly moving out - you see good families leaving every day. Even if you are willing to pay an exorbitant amount of money for rent, know that the apartments marked luxury are just "lipstick on a pig," the crappy structure just being given a fresh coat of paint (that chips).

It is an old mill that has been transformed into multiple different stores, restaurants and services. When we last came in we went to a flea market event, stopped at their arts and crafts store, and then also went into their antique store. Overall the list of stores, restaurants, and services located in this restored mill are too long to list. It is definitely worth dropping by or checking their website to see all they have to offer. It's a quiet neighborhood and it's very pleasant to live here. My neighbors are friendly and easy to talk to. I looked at many other condos, in Amherst, Belchertown, Hadley, etc. But they didn't give me that I want to move in here aright away, but this one, Jacob's Edge Condominums just called to me as soon as I walked in the door. I'm in a duplex, we also have triplexes and four free standing homes that came much later. I watched the property grow from an empty lot. It's spacious and I have my own 2 car garage and driveway as does everyone else. Any work done inside my condo, is done by people I done business with before, the costs for the work I have done is reasonable, if not, I get other's opinions as to who to hire. I rented an apartment through them- found it on Craigslist and they coordinated everything between…read moreme and the owners. The owners lived in Florida and it caused some big miscommunications. First, the house was A MESS when we moved in. We asked during the walk through if it would be cleaned and the realtor (Holly) said she had already done enough. We asked about the filthy rugs and she said she had vaccumed them and that the owners wouldn't be willing to do anything else. There was literally mouse poop on the kitchen floor and they just suggested to get an exterminator. Should've walked away when we had the chance. Landscaping and snow removal were included in the lease, but then we were told landscaping wasn't actually going to be included because we had a dog. Ok, then winter came. One.. two.. three snow storms and no one ever came to plow our driveway as planned. We reached out to the owner, who was obviously out of the loop, and she tried to track them down. Of the 10 times it snowed, not once did a plow person show up. After we called and emailed, they showed up once at 6pm... we had already shoveled our cars out. The refrigerator wasn't working when we moved in, also. Apparently it had been unplugged with a bunch of ice inside, which melted and then refroze.. blocking the vent to the fridge part. It took SEVEN DAYS for it to be fixed. Not the best first week in a new place. Especially after paying to have the rugs cleaned and cleaning the entire house ourselves. A few weeks later, the oven starting stinking of gas and we weren't able to use it. This time it took over 2 weeks to get a new oven. (Lotsss of take out our first month there) To top it off, Holly told us the statement of condition/walk through wasn't something they did, and never put our deposit in an interest bearing account (both MA state laws). When we moved out, the owners tried to have us pay for the rugs to be cleaned and didn't want to refund our deposit. The house also had a history of lead/Deleading, but the realtor didn't have any of the paperwork. I had to track down someone from the town's office for the inspection report, and I also had another inspection completed for piece of mind. For charging a $500 realtor fee, you'd think they would do something, anything, told hold up their own responsibility in renting out a unit. They didn't even follow standard state laws. I definitely don't recommend working with this group.
