You have a choice of two Bolanis - potatoes and veggies or potatoes and meat filling. Try them both! They are equally mouthwatering! And don't forget to get the spicy Afghani chatni gashneez - green corriander chili sauce to put on top of your bolani. All this goodness will set you back only a couple of Euros - yes you read that right! The owner is super friendly and he is also a good artist as he painted the picture on the wall. The leaders in this project are from Afghanistan but the food spans from Turkey and Syria to India and Pakistan crossing Iran and Afghanistan. Though you can stay within the culinary creations of just one country, you can also mix and match .... which is of course what I did. My friend partook mostly of Syrian dishes while I enjoyed Iranian, Afghan, Indian, and Pakistani. The Afghan bolani to start off the feast were excellent - especially with the very spicy and equally tasty chutney accompaniment. My main plate had three distinct dishes - Qorma, Sabzi palak, and Biryani. Each was as tasty as the other. Service was super friendly, the restaurant is very attractive inside, and the prices are ridiculously low....a winning combo!! Unfortunately few people know about this new eatery and they don't have an advertising budget so word of mouth has to spread the news of its existence. I know of it because it is literally just around the corner from where I live. I truly wish more people would discover the Peace Kitchen so it can thrive in today's world and help spread the good will from many lands joyfully shared over tasty food and drink. The enterior decorations could strike the traditional as perhaps needs some paint on the wall and need of renovation, but trust me the aim of the place is to remind you of the history a place can carry and for you to focus at whats infront of you whether it be the meal, drink or companion you are with for the day. We went there for brunch and enjoyed a very intersting mix of dishes. The tea was very different and I enjoyed it. It seems they also have specials for lunch and dinner and certain standards on their menu. I have yet to try out more but the ambiance made me feel just chilled and a place where you could take anyone for a lovely time. The furniture in the place range from old to new and its all set up as if you are in a living room or perhaps in a cafe or maybe just your study room. I can only recommend it to anyone that would like to try Arab cuisine. I can especially recommend the Baba Ganoush and the mix grill meat teller (the meat tastes delicious and is really soft).

Our waiter was attentive and friendly. But, it's clear that the owners/management are just going through the motions. The restaurant was more than 75% empty, which shouldn't be the case for a beautiful restaurant, good staff, and good food. The marketing and care just isn't there. Even when going to the bathroom you can see doors open and a carelessness about back of house that tells you that the owners don't mind losing money on weeknight dinner service. It could be because they make it up elsewhere or because they want a tax write-off. Either way, it puts a bit of a damper on an otherwise nice dining experience.

The staff are super friendly, and welcomed me with true Iranian hospitality. This place is super authentic, and a favorite of the local diaspora. A family nearby me was celebrating a birthday, singing tavalodet mobarak to a sweet little boy who was grinning at his huge chocolate cake. The place is polished and beautiful, but grounded in its permanence. I ordered kabob and doogh, and they were both absolutely delicious. My kabob was served on a gorgeous, hot bed of naan, and everything was incredibly fresh. I had an incredible experience at Apadana, and a taste of home. Thank you so much for such a lovely evening!
