Food is really good. I had some kubbeh as well as the regular bamia, while my friend had the vegetarian bamia.
Service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and friendly.
But, it's clear that the owners/management are just going through the motions. The restaurant was more than 75% empty, which shouldn't be the case for a beautiful restaurant, good staff, and good food. The marketing and care just isn't there. Even when going to the bathroom you can see doors open and a carelessness about back of house that tells you that the owners don't mind losing money on weeknight dinner service. It could be because they make it up elsewhere or because they want a tax write-off. Either way, it puts a bit of a damper on an otherwise nice dining experience. read more
